How far? |
Re: Ibom Deep Sea Port Latest Update by Blue3k(m): 8:57pm On Jan 23, 2023 |
omonnakoda: You know these projects take time. Lekki deep seaport took 20 years to it to start operations after its approval. Hopefully, this one doesn't drag on that long. https://ppp.icrc.gov.ng/project/118/lekki-deep-water-port

Blue3k:No it took 2 years to construct Lekki |
Re: Ibom Deep Sea Port Latest Update by Raheeqilmaktoom: 9:05pm On Jan 23, 2023 |
Blue3k: Those long breaks during the project phase, I bet they were not really as a result of some technical glitch, more like Nigeria's long bereaucracy and different administrations with their different agendas. |
Re: Ibom Deep Sea Port Latest Update by Blue3k(m): 9:06pm On Jan 23, 2023 |
omonnakoda: OK, your statement doesn't contradict the facts stated. It took 20 years from approval to operation. The approval for the project happened in 2003. Raheeqilmaktoom: If you say so. |
Re: Ibom Deep Sea Port Latest Update by Raheeqilmaktoom: 6:30am On Jan 24, 2023 |
Blue3k: Not a talk of if you say so, I don't have any exposure regarding this thing but I feel around 7-8 years just for feasibility studies and another 7 years is just too much, it could have been smoother. |

Any day this Ibaka seaport come to fruition and operational, I'll commit suicide. Do you people think this project will ever come to fruition? Do you know that Federal government through National Port Authority has sole mandate on operation of states' sea/river/land ports? You think they will allow this project to come to fruition? Anyday this port comes to operation with Akwa Ibom going against federal might to open it, Akwa Ibom will be bombed to pieces. I know people ask but why? People don't know what's going on in this country? Have you asked yourself why Ports in Calabar, Onne, Port Harcourt and Warri are not working...only used by oil companies and corporations while two Lagos ports are fully working, with two more being built as I type this? You think these SS ports are closed to the public for fancy or for talking sake? These ports are not working for strategic reason to marginalize the East with Igbos being their primary target, and you think Ibaka will ever come to life? What is wrong with our people? Can't you reason? Don't you read history or current situation? The reason they don't want any port to work in Eastern region is to make us Easterners dependent on One Nigeria, so that we will remain with them. Any day SS and/or SE ports are fully operational, that day will mark the end of Nigeria. One it ll come to pass |

Raheeqilmaktoom: I was expecting you to tell me facts instead of your opinions if you insist I must agree unquestionably. You didn't cite another similar project in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world. Reread your comments then point to the other projects mentioned. Raheeqilmaktoom: Raheeqilmaktoom: |
