mayd16:Too much information, the consular officer already knows this. This questions simply means, "what does your school have that you can't find in Nigeria". Clear answers like Facilities, e.g state of the art workstations, and GPU's for Brute force attack simulations, or access to wide range of powerful cloud computing infrastructure etc WHEN DID YOU FINISH HIGH SCHOOLProblem No. 1 prerequisite , you have a degree or an equivalent of a degree, and have done the NYSC, and work. SO WHY ARE YOU GOING FOR A CERTIFICATE PROGRAMsounds cheesy .. passion and all that idealistic talk; most Nigerians are just looking for a big payday ![]() TELL ME YOUR STUDY PLANmentioning work, when the VO hasn't brought it up is akin to dousing yourself with fuel before visiting a bonfire; suicide!!! ![]() HOW MANY SCHOOL DID YOU APPLY TOwe're almost there to problem No. 1 ![]() SO WHY JAMESTOWNAlmost everything you have said here will sound like lies to the VO, because like you stated earlier, you have a degree, so why in God's damn name would you be spending hard earned dollars to go to america to get a f*cking associate degree. with the amount of our brethren who go to the US with F1 of 4 year institutions and abscond to Community colleges, the US embassy is not very thrilled to hear some poorly rehearsed story about passions and community colleges WHAT WILL THIS COURSE DO FOR YOUWhat this course will in reality do for you is waste your damn money, and buy you enough time to "port" the Nigerian way. A community college with underpaid staff, and a horde of adjunct instructors, frustrated and depressed beyond a psychiatrists wet dream isn't going to give you state of the art skills to edge out the average american. HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS SCHOOLif the interview does get here, the VO is probably just stalling. But bosses recommendation seems like a good cliché WHO IS SPONSORINGTOTAL BUNKUM!!!. why in the name of Zeus's tiny temper would a Hospital sponsor you for a networking associate degree at a community college!!!, this would be the worst sounding lie ,that the VO hears, that you would be the topic of discussion at the end of week Mockery amongst themselves. If you must lie, remember you're lying to the people who know the American system way more than you do .WHAT WILL YOU DO AFTER YOUR STUDYSomehow, the Hospital sponsoring you for an associate degree in Networking also has a promotion waiting for you, Jesus!!!!!.. how much worse can these responses get!. also NGO's in Nigeria don't fix loopholes in Networking...Engineers and the open source community aren't dead yet. **** This transcript gets 8/100; your age , class of degree, sponsorship, and totally out of place responses will ensure that your bank account balance reduces by 54000NGN for no reason. If at all you're going to stick to the community college, fix your sponsorship details, and funding, and come up with responses that show that you've spent at least a decade of your life in formal education. |

EZEIGBO1OFIMO:Just this point alone disqualifies him. I don't want to know if it's true or not, 10 out of 10, anyone will see that as a fat lie. How could an hospital sponsor someone not for medical seminar, leadership workshop or for skill acquisition program but associate degree. Of what importance is he to the hospital? Probably the hospital is family owned. |

Sorry for your denial, but I think out of the 3 main questions she asked you, you only answer one correctly, others were not straight to the point e.g V.o : So tell me the duration of the program, the courses u will take Me: It is a 45 credit unit course, i will be taking 24unit core courses and 21 units in my major, Some of the courses include biostatistics, epidemiology, general environmental health, social and behavioural science and there will be a compulsory 300hours applied learnig experince at a community site, this practical exposure will make me a better health education resource when i come back to nigeria. Your answer should have started with 36month for the duration and not credit unit course.... yellowman91: |

My sponsor(sister) intends to write a letter that d first is d acct she runs for her business and dt she saves what's left in d other account with just deposit activity from time to time. EZEIGBO1OFIMO:Thanks for your critics i will work on it but I actually work in the hospital as an IT consultant, cus the hospital runs on an electronic system That is actually the truth, the Hospital is actually sponsoring me in getting a certificate in network administration and from the school its not an associate degree its a certificate program. |

Goodday all I was refused a visa over 3 months ago...(summer)HCC, which I drop my transcript here. I apply to 3 community colleges then but now am going directly for bachelor degree(same course) and i applied to 4 universities and got addmited to 3. *Am confuse on how to answer the VO question on how many schools did you apply to.... * Should I answer 4 universities or I should say 7 schools.... "Adding the 3 community colleges I apply to during my first interview. Please I really need advise on this.... Thanks in advance |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 13 by mcafeez: 10:17am On Jun 09, 2018 |
Bettertomorrow1:Common, why would you still list the community colleges you have used 3 months ago. You were denied because VOs don't believe in community colleges(According to popular comments). No need to mention those community issh again. List the universities that you applied to.. If you are asked how many give u admission, list them. But be ready to have good answer for why you choose the one you are going to.... Guru in the house can still correct my comment.... Just answering you base on experience I have gained here.... |

Visa was denied twice; kindly help me dear NLanders; My first interview was very dry and even I was not impressed maybe because I got timid seeing 2 people denied before me. (Abuja) VO: Good Morning Me: Morning VO: So you are going to Maharishi University of Management Me: Yes I am VO: How many Schools did you apply to Me: 3 VO: Mention Them Me: Devry University, University of Manitoba VO: Why did you choose this school Me: Because they are affordable and their course fit perfectly well (He cuts in) VO: Who is Sponsoring you My Father VO: What does he do Me: He is a welder, He is into building of Iron gates, doors and bulglary VO: Have you ever travelled before Me: No VO: Are you married Me: No My second Interview was more Robust. It was a raining day in Lagos that day, even the VOs came in late. VO: Good morning Me: morning VO: Can you pass your I-20 Me: passed it to him VO: so you are going to study masters in computer science Me: yes VO: tell me about the software's applications you have built Me: As a software developer in financial institution; I have worked on ATM and POS dispute management application, which helps POS merchants log chargeback and get resolution on transactions failures; (the VO wasn't even looking up at all ); I also worked on Coperate expense system management, this software allows Coperate organisation manage their expenses thereby putting in place the necessary approval before fund are disbursed. In this way company expenditure can be monitored. VO: How many did you apply to Me: 3 VO: mention them Me: Devry University and University of Illinois VO: so why did you choose this school Me: having worked for some years as a practical software developer the school course content fit perfectly well into my current experience and my future career goal; I am aiming at rising from being a mere software developer to being a software architect which will make me a valuable asset when I return back to my home country. VO: are you married? Me: No VO: Can I have your account statement Me: pass it to him VO: {Checking and was looking through it page by page; he concentrated on it for some time; dropped it and started typing on his system; he stopped again and now started looking @ the statement flow one by one} ...stopped for a while; (my opening balance was 18000 and closing balance 1.6million; I have a financial aid assistance that requires me to only have 1.2million; it's a 6months account statement) VO: what is the course's duration Me: 32months VO: am sorry; visa was denied. NO HOME tied Please help me guys... What am I doing wrong... I am not required to write any standardised test as the school has conducted some online test and interviews; this is also stated in my I-20 form. That I don't require any standardised test |

tunapawizzy:You can go with all the document and explain clearly in a convincing manner !! They don't have any problem bring 2 or more statement ! Mine was drop box and the document I attached in there were too much and they where well detailed. Even person wey dey primary school will understand the document . Just two statement you have no issue at all !! |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 13 by Nobody: 12:19pm On Jun 09, 2018 |
farcorn:1. I'm not too comfortable with your school. You have to change your school to one that has some degree of reputation. 2. Truth is, 95% of people who say "my school does not require a test" are those that were too scared to write the GRE and were searching for shortcuts via schools that do not require the GRE. I don't know if you fall in that category but you obviously know that writing a standardized test would have helped your case. If you knew, why did you ignore the tests? Sometimes we create problems for ourselves by playing safe at all times. 3. I can infer via your transcript that you applied to just 1 (or 2 schools). In your first interview, you said you applied to Devry and Manitoba. In your second interview, you said you applied to Devry and University of Illinois ( ). University of Illinois at where? Urbana Champaign or Chicago? A smart VO can smell lies from those responses and I want to caution you about saying inconsistent stuffs in your interviews. The more inconsistent you sound, the more difficult it becomes. 4. Your "why this school" question seems generic. Try and give specifics. What and what about your school curriculum interests you? Give some names, sound specific! Goodluck! |

Tell your 'friend' to do a Google search. It is that easy. No matter what is suggested here, your 'friend' will still make the final decision. When you do the bulk of the research yourself, it is then productive to get useful suggestions here. By the way, why didn't your friend attend American University of Nigeria since you own the school? Lol PresidentAtiku: |
