Happened to my mum in JFK, thank God say na old mama and she was with her credit card. She paid right there again the full fare..

This not only sad but embarrassing, on a trip from Houston to Lagos, the check in agents requested for my CC , took me some time to find it , I asked what if I forgot it at home, she said with 100% assurance that I will not board the flight. They treat you like that especially when you are flying to a country like Nigeria regardless of your nationality, I had a US passport and still got treated that way.

On a flight from Houston to Shanghai,China, with the same airline, they did not ask such questions. The reception was quite different .

When will the outside world begin to treat Nigeria with respect.

We need to look inwardly, why in the world would any sane mind use a stolen credit card to book a flight ? If you don't get busted at your final destination, you may be blacklisted by the airlines and turned over to the authorities .

Let's learn to do things the right way

bRO, this issue has been going on for a while. Any major airline goin to or leaving Nigeria will not accept credit credit or debit card and even if they do, you have to bring it to the airport along with your ID.
People celebrate these yahoo girls but their actions are making it really hard for legitimate business men like me. At the same time, i cannot see myself condemning their actions without condemning the government and economic environment that makes everyone believe that yahooing is the fastest way out.

What's the meaning of this? Have you seen any comment disparaging Nigeria from me? Like it or not, Nigeria is well known for wire fraud globally and it is not just Nigerians based in Nigeria but even those abroad. Sadly other countries have joined this trade but Nigeria still gets the (dis)credit.
