Uber/Taxify registered drivers needed for car rental purpose, Toyota camry 2005 model. Driver should be resident in Lagos, preferably on the mainland (Ojota, Berger, Ikeja, Ogba, Agege)

Interested drivers will be required to make upfront payment for the first week to show commitment.

Interested drivers should send a mail or quote with his phone number.

In fact someone one offered that I should come manage his two cars on the platform. I told him "no"
He offered me direct tokunbo 2005 Corolla for hire purchase. I told him "no"
He's a rich Igbo businessman living in Valley Estate, hardly in the country

Let me tell you my kind of hustle - I lead a team to build and market a web app, subscription for 6 months is #1,500=00; 10,000 people subscribe to the service

That is my kind of hustle. In fact, that is a project we are currently working on

If I have a car to give out. I will never give my car to Super Edger. Reason been that they are the restless type.

They are the type that go on every trip either its safe or not. E.g A trip to satellite town this night on a wet day like today.

They are the type that drag with danfo on Lagos road.

They don't have time to check car in the morning before starting the engine. Person wey dey chase trip to island by 5am no get time to check car fluid.

Na waoo, u for say make him no just drive the vehicle BRO. Besides checking oil have nothing to do with waking by 5. Besides waking by that time help some drivers, you might be fortunate to catch airport trips.

I'm still trying to understand what's so special about these airport trips. Maybe it's because I live not too far from the airports. My airport trips are usually around 1500

Yeah, it is ooo. For instance if you get one from Ajah area or shangotedo in the morning your has started well my dear.

That's why initial deposit is very important esp in HP. Meanwhile the driver is unserious, how much is gear box to start with? If it's corrolla, is affordable unless he is not intending to seal up the Hp deal from the get go.

Yes. And people make money with it. The fuel consumption is amazing. Google says it's a 1.5 litre engine and I concur. It sips fuel, very classily.
Though it might be a bit limiting due to the size. Trunk space is about 275 litres for the yaris compared to 375-475 for the corolla!
At the airport, luggage space might deter you from picking up certain requests.
The size of the car might make your trips selective.
Even a corolla is sometimes on the small side when you want to pick up 2 tall and big men and you yourself are not so dainty. The rider in front will want to shift his seat back and recline a little due to his size, which means the other rider has to seat behind you, so you as service provider now, have to make space and cramp yourself into the cockpit.
All I am saying is, if you haven't yet acquired it, think of a corolla instead.
If you already own it, all I can say is it's a beautiful car to use for Uber. And I wish you all the luck and ROI.

If Uber/Taxify accept both cars and I am in your shoes, I will opt for 2013 Yaris.

2013 car from the same maker in my opinion would be better than a car produced in 2006 that's based on the thought that both cars are used well and a 2013 car would have less mileage than the 2006.

If the price is the same, my final decision would be 2013 Yaris.

But if the cars are the same year, I will go for Corolla.

Temporal for me too. I started my biz 2011 way back in my University days selling I.T gadgets online(deal fish, google trader and Tradestable) made millions of naira. Until when Buhari came in 2015 dollar went up from 150 to 360 since then it has never been rosy. I source my products from U.S.A, my younger sister and bro are based there. But thank God for Taxify. With Taxify I am raising capital for start up of an I.T business which has potential of raking multi millions in a short time.

Please when you get back on your feet in the business, kindly diversify your interest.

The rapid fall of Naira against USD affect everyone purchasing power hence certain things were deemed to be luxury.

Also no matter how good and well sales follow your way, never forget to do continuous "Customer Spending Behaviour" Analysis.

During the period, a lot of States can't pay salaries hence a huge portion of the "Spending" population were broke.

A diversified portfolio would help you mitigate against such trend in the future.

Macro Economics affect everybody because we neglect politics.

I don't like Politics, but believe it or not, Politicians control the economy.
