As an introverted person who feels the need to be strong at all times, I get how you feel.

Hiding your health status from him isn't going to help, he is your dad.

Imagine how he would feel if he gets to know about your health challenges, he would be broken.

My mum found out I had ureteric junction obstruction while i was in the emergency ward of UITH, something I had known I had for years and have been treating by myself, running tests at the hospital without anyone's knowledge until I had another breakdown and my neighbours had to call her. She came to Ilorin from Lagos not knowing what she would meet. Sit your dad down, let him know whats going on; the more you keep things from him, the more weighed down you get. That alone is enough to weigh you down.

I guess your post resonated with me as I have those exact medical conditions in the most severe way plus more, lol. That being said I'm not suicidal - I just get help and look for ways to manage these conditions and make my daily life more enjoyable regardless of the daily inconveniences.
I really hope you find a reason to let go of those suicidal thoughts and find out what makes you tick and uniquely you. What is your stand in life! Mine is that everyone lives their best life!

Remember you were formed in God's hands before your parents even knew of you, and He has a plan for you......your Daddy would be sad, and so would Father God. Find a way to honor yourself, your Dad and God. You can do it.

You have said anything Wrong...Honestly I haven't really done a well document research but I do interacts with lots of people due to my present position...one thing I realise is Most youth carry this empty void in them which they are desperately trying to fill which is really making them depressed....Some don't even know why they feel empty...Some are earning Good salary with a well prepared future ahead of them but they are quietly battling this depression on their own....Someone once told me He doesn't even understand why he's Alive,He's only scared of What God will do if he commits suicide ..that's how deep it is....Imagine if he doesn't have the fear of God in him what would have happen....

I'm an introvert myself and my girlfriend is asthmatic and depressive too.

I'm not a psychologist or therapist but what I can tell you is, stay strong, find someone you can talk to and confide in, then share with that person, it helps.
Take life one step at a time so it doesn't overwhelm you and try your hardest to find that silver lining.
