Our society (people & infrastructure) is not ready for this high tech taxi services.

Let's wait another 500 years for evolution to take its course. By then, we will be ready.

I dont know if some of you are aware taxify reduced their bonus from 1500 to 400. i was mad when i saw it.

complete 3 trips with an acceptance rating of 90 percent and stay online for 2hrs plus.

what is 400 naira abeg, how is 400 naira an incentive? what can 400 naira do to your car or to your life? it can even buy fuel for a trip.

I think it is insulting.

There shouldn't be a promo instead.

Lol. Sometimes it's best you understand where one is coming from. He applied cos he saw 90k monthly so I asked if he makes up to 40k as opposed to the 90k they advertised to get his attention. Stop misunderstanding me up and down NL please. In fact don't ever quote me again.

angry Naija is not ready abeg. You are not supposed to pick up a rider that is not within your radar, that's the purpose of the GPS. Also you don't have to 'blow back' empty, Taxify should be able to simply notify you of another rider within your new axis. I don't even know if I'm making sense.

You just made excess extra sense even!!! Lol

And what makes you think that I didn’t investigate? How do you know that I don’t drive Taxisfy and for longer than you.

Always try to use your brain before responding to those you differ with. It helps to show that you’re a product of good education.

Go face your lane.

#LazyNigerianYouths

No need to go personal, speak to the matter on ground.
I am genuinely interested in your investigation.

What the average earning for an abuja taxify rider?

The op wrote his observation and you come online giving a contrary view, we want you to state your facts here.

I put it to you the OP is 100 percent correct.

Blatant Nonsense!!! He shared his experience whic is similar to what most Drivers are going through..
If u have a solution, Post it here!!

oglalasioux:
Don't mislead the public.

Taxify can't compensate you for picking up riders. For those who don't know Abuja, Mabushi and Wuse are very close and not up to 4 kilometres.

Secondly, OP is not ready to work. How can he say you won't have anyone to pick in Asokoro? Just like in everything, you have to wait for your next trip and Asokoro is one place you won't wait for long before your next ride.

Night driving is a choice which you can take or leave and I must tell you night work pays handsomely.

OP should go back to yahoo yahoo that will give him instant wealth without working. Taxify is for hardworking people and we are making more than the 90k per month promised.

A good car will give you 200k minimum monthly and you don't even have to work too hard.

OP appears to be a lazy person that doesn't want to put the work in that is necessary.

Driving for Taxisfy is not compulsory.

I’m almost tempted not to even start any business in Nigeria. The sense of entitlement is ridiculous in most people.

Imagine the OP whining about a business system that he’s well aware of.

We have a long way to go in Nigeria.
Mr EgunMogaji, whether you start your business in Nigeria or Texas, you will be doing nobody but yourself a favor. You guys always making every issue to seem as though Nigerians are the only bad eggs on earth. Ask Google for the protests and court cases of drivers around the world (including the USA and London) against unfavorable terms Uber places on their drivers.
The Op shared his personal experience, mentioned some flaws that a right thinking mgt will do well to find improvements to and you waste no time in making it about Nigerians and entitlements.
Uber forgetting that it's driver's are clients too that needs to be catered to is one of what brought Travis down and Amazon & Alibaba understanding that sellers on their platforms are just as important as the buyers is what is driving them to the $1trn market cap, something that Jumia, Konga and Taxify are all finding hard to grasp.
Please do site your business in Houston or wherever you see fit where the people are hardworking and not "entitled", Nigeria do not need another entitled business owner, thank you.

Someone is lamenting genuinely from his bitter experience as a taxify rider(hustling to make a living), instead of just keeping mute , you shut the guy down saying he is lazy. May you never be in the same situation.

if you are not ready for a debate, then dont comment or call someone lazy. that is rude and very annoying.

it is not every thread you read, you must make comments on.

People read the opinion of other on this page, someone may read through and think your opinion makes sense, where as the reverse is the case. You call the OP lazy, yet you dont say how. You claim to have done investigation yet you dont give any hard evidence.

Abroad yes you can do uber as a full time job or buy alot of cars give out to drivers as a partner but in naija I will advice anyone to take it as a par time thing cause in the longrun you will still lose considering roads ,car maintanence and all that .Now I think uber is for people who have good cars and their work places are a bit far from their offices like you work on the island you live in badagry ,so you can go online anytime from 4am waiting for request to come to help with fuel expenses and when you close from work the same but doing it fulltime is not as profitable as people think

Harassed by who?

It's commonplace in most countries not to see Uber or the likes operating at the airport. Some countries do not allow any signal for you to order a taxi, only airports taxis are allowed. In Nigeria's case, you need to be registered with FAAN to operate and the companies are not ready to do that yet. Moreover they can drop passengers at the airport.

My comments?
Re: "My Experience As A Taxify Driver In Abuja" by debossng: 5:00pm On Jun 14, 2018
After reading all the comments to this point, it would be very unfair for me not to make comment too.
I recently came across this young Uber and Taxify driver around Ajah axis in Lagos and he proudly told me how business was going great for him, he actually told me he makes #40,000 - #50,000 per week and that he works at his own leisure time.
While I drove in his Pontiac jeep, orders were coming through much more he could take. I was impressed especially with his sense of satisfaction and pride doing taxi hailing business.

I believe taxify/uber is just like every other business opportunity. You must find ways to succeed in it.

Op sounded more like an employee rather than a business person. If you've decided to ride Uber or Taxify, then take it as your own personal business. Seeking compensation is a typical mentality of employees.

Best regards
