Imam Ahmad (26731) narrated that Umm Kalthoom bint ‘Uqbah said: I never heard the Messenger of Allah grant a concession allowing any kind of lying except in three cases: a man who says something intending thereby to bring about reconciliation; a man who says something at the time of war; and a man talking to his wife or a woman talking to her husband. (Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in as-Saheehah, 545)

Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know. They will say: "(All that belongs) to Allah." Say: "How then are you deceived and turn away from the truth?"

I was intrigued by Ladkud's answer to 3rd question in Question 7. He is the only that gave answer i had in mind. And he proved Question number 2 just as brother Ladunal proved the same. So i am at crossroad. But then, order of submmision will definately be considered since that was part of the initial rules.

Also, the issue of "plot of woman" is considered controversial. Therefore, i consider it unfair to grade that. I will not change your grade but i will make it a bonus point(credit) for every participant.

As for Alhajiemeritus, just for clarification purposes, you mean the sheikh Yazidi Bistami was wrong?.






Far as I am concern, i understand perspective with which the Sheikh answered the pope when he mentioned "plot of women". He was right. Mr Lanrexlan from his perspective was right as well that we all can agree with. That the specific word is not direct speech of Allah but it doesn't mean it is not in the Quran bcus at the end of the day, Quran is absolutely speech of Allah whether His Majesty was narrating past incident or His direct speech or not. So i believe the Sheikh was right and also most definitely, the question posed by the Pope was subjective.

The questions and wordings posed by Pope was similar to Yoruba tale of the moon where figure of speech was employed.

Though, partly, I might concur with your view because Umm Mumin is fond of showing her 'annoyance' by simply leaving the name of victim.

Holy Prophet(saw) has reportedly said in one hadith they normally discern Aisha(ra) anger simply from the fact that she(ra) leaves their name and rather called Prophet Ibrahim(as), by saying "By the Lord of Ibrahim" instead of by "Lord of Muhammed" she used to say. May Allah be Pleased with all of THEM!
