Babaramota1980, Nisai, Moneywomen17, Olu317, MayorofLagos & my fellow Yoruba folks.

With reference to Yoruba being spoken in the palace, a phenomenon which the Bini have also denied, please see this below:

Your document only exposed that your Yoruba people were palace/court servants in Benin, nothing more. Your language was never spoken in Bini palace.

Of all the so called references you attached, one thing that is clear is that either the writer himself is formulating events himself or busy quoting others who couldn't conclusively arrive at closure. Either way, it's all conjectures.

As long as these accounts do not have any currency in the palace in Bini, then it's all a one sided fable, and would always remain as such.

BabaRamota1980:

Initially Bini sold EDO females into slavery but not EDO men. At a later time Bini sold EDO men and women into slavery.

Do you know why EDO men were not sold until much later? grin

Bini used humans for sacrifice. EDO men were the preferred stock for blood sacrifice. Also, because Bini came from Yoruba, when your king died some slaves are buried to go with him. If EDO men were sold into slavery from beginning the population will be depleted and there will be none of you left in inventory to slaughter to the gods.

grin grin

Anyway, your brother ekladheran is a priest. Do you agree? grin

By inference, I'm happy that you have stylishly accepted that your Yoruba people were indeed slaves and suffered great dehumanization in the many years of slavery when their brothers sold them to the whites to be used as slaves on cotton plantations in Europe and America. You constant obsession with the word 'EDO' in your reply clearly exposes this very ugly and demeaning aspect of your past.
The Edos rescued so many yorubas from slave merchants due to their abhorrence of slavery. They are your lords! Stop manufacturing history.

Oduduwas priestly role was symbolic of his divination which necessitated his having an assistant(ooni the slave boy). Remember, the mother of the ooni was used for sacrificial purposes by oduduwa. So you should be asking yourself which deity was the poor woman sacrificed to? Or better still, wait until you see oduduwa (certainly not in heaven though), then you can ask him to what deity did he do his priestly role.

Mind you, the reference to oduduwa as priest was used by a Yoruba writer I quoted several times earlier. Go to past pages and check it up, I wouldn't do you the honor of reposting it. So you are just an ignorant jerk like your name implies.

You seem upset.

The document clearly states that the king is surrounded by Chiefs who are Yoruba/Bariba in order that emotions may not get in the way when errant subject are to be punished.

The document also went further to state that the presence of Lucumies (Yoruba/Bariba) did not mean Biini people did not serve their king in the palace but rather that the Bini indigenes served as slaves in the palace and these slaves had families.

This is you doing an act of history manufacturing again. We read what you posted and it clearly identified your Yoruba people as palace/court slaves.

It identified the bariba(Yoruba) which it also called lucumies as slaves and said the natives were used for 'administration' not as servants in the kings court. The lucumies (slave yorubas) were the ones who had their families even while serving in the capacity as palace slaves. Don't twist stuff here.

This has always been the attitude you guys attend to all issues. Fraud, fraud, fraud.

Upset ke? I’m annoyed at the size of ur brain; small and shallow.. the only people u fool here are ur own Yoruba brothers.
Do you even understand the purpose of the document you posted? A document that clearly discredited Yoruba claims that Yoruba language was the lingua franca of the Benin palace.
I know you lack understanding that’s why u posted that document to ur detriment.

The document simply explains that the people that spoke Yoruba in Benin palace were the slaves employed to work in the palace. The palace preferred these foreigners to work in the palace instead of natives because the slaves can be easily punished (beheaded) if they error..

If u like keep twisting stories, u only end up fooling ur own brothers.
Reading a lot of books doesn’t make u smart or wise..

All he does is quote books without actually reading them. For the few he read, it was without understanding and comprehension that's why the guy shot himself in the foot while claiming to have made a kill. A small brain indeed.

That post he made was a great undoing and and a disservice to their fraudulent claims. Clearly an own goal.

Go and bow to your slave Oni..
Your past is slavery, your present is still slavery and your future will also be slavery.. Continue worshiping your slave Oni..

Am really happy about this thread, it made me understand some very important things. The ooni(being a slave's stool) but made into a powerful office by colonialists and dubious politicians like Awo. Then coming to the present ooni (Adeyeye), we've posted pictures here of him bowing to Saraki (which ordinarily should be an abomination) and I kept wondering why a monarch of his stature would stoop so low. Then we got to the issue of yorubas selling kingship to the highest bidders and not giving respect to order of succession. Again, Adeyeye's name comes up in a rather unflattering picture. He is accused by Sijuwade's family, other Yoruba people including Yoruba lawyer Rotimi Jacobs of being a fraudster and forger of documents(case currently with EFCC). He then begins to tell tales of how the issue had been settled and how Oba Akiolu(same Akiolu who snubbed him publicly) and Tinubu(notorious for installing stooges as kings) are aware of the whole thing. It now appears Akiolu was reacting to the ooni's misbehavior after the role they(Akiolu and Tinubu) played in the installation of Adeyeye as ooni and that's why he snubbed him publicly.
This case ooni has with his fellow royal family people with the EFCC coupled with his unmerited installation as ooni by politicians is what makes him to kowtow and bow to them in public unconsciously.

This is the type of fraud yo-robber people have all through history perpetrated which has now formed the bulk of their chequered history. And they are very much still in the practice.

Oranmiyan: One of the reasons behind Oba of Benin’s visit to Ile Ife

Ile Ife is the ancestral home of all Oduduwa descendants, mostly Yoruba and Benin people inclusive, that has been a known fact. The recent visit of Oba of Benin just gave it more credence as the Binis have a common heritage with the Yorubas in Oranmiyan whose grove lies in Ile Ife.

Omo N’oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin recently travelled to Ile Ife where he visited the Ooni of Ife on Saturday, April 28. Before this historical visit, the last time an Oba from Benin visited the Ooni was 36 years ago.

However, NAIJ.com on a recent visit to Ile Ife, went to the Oranmiyan grove and learnt that there is more to the Oba of Benin’s visit to the ancient city. It was gathered that the Oba of Benin actually went to collect a particular sword which all kings of Oranmiyan descent come to Ile Ife to collect. It is called the sword of victory and every king who is a descendant of Oranmiyan must come to the groove to collect the sword. It was also learnt that while being given the sword, the king visiting will be prayed for that any war he wages he will conquer unless he decide to wage war against Ile Ife then he will lose the war. This is because no son is expected to wage war against his father.

Before this historical visit, the last time an Oba from Benin visited the Ooni was 36 years ago. According to a popular saying in Benin kingdom: “Oba no dey go transfer,” which simply means that Oba of Benin rarely leaves his palace where he sees to the day-to-day running of his kingdom. That is why Benin monarchs hardly go around.

Oba of Benin Omo N’oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II receiving a portrait from the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi during his historic visit to Ile Ife.

NAIJ.com also gathered that while coming to the groove to collect the sacred sword, any king coming must change from the regalia he is adorned with to a specially prepared outfit before he can step his feet into the Oranmiyan grove for prayers and collection of the sword. This particular ritual was alleged to be one of the reasons the Oba of Benin went to Ile Ife and also seized the opportunity to visit the Ooni of Ife who was present during his coronation in Benin.

Just imaging how unlettered you are grin? Can your Oba go the Americas and proclaim a city as the Capital of Bini outside Biniland? Ooni went to Bahia and declared this in Brazil. And made a diaspora CAPITAL OF YORUBA OUTSIDE Yorubaland in in southwest and North central Nigeria
After you finish reading the speech of the direct descendant of Odudua( Oranmiyan lineage)....then hate yourself for being a slave descendant of Ogiamien grin
The declaration reads in parts: "Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ile Ife,

By the power and ase given to me by the ancestors and the 400 Irunmole of the Yoruba orisa pantheon as the Arole Oduduwa, SOLE OCCUPIER of the Source throne of Oduduwa, the mystical founder and father of the entire Yoruba nation, both in the African homeland and in diaspora, do hereby decree and solemnly declare as follows;
1. That this nobel land of Bahia de todos as Santos shall henceforth be officially referred to and recognised as the Yoruba capital of the Americas.
2. That this solemn declaration is being accorded in recognition of the long standing historical and cultural protagonism of the African descendants in this land, who have laboured incessantly in the course of the last five centuries to preserve the African, especially the Nago-Yoruba cultural, historical and religious worldwide which they kept alive by dint of collective determination as a source of cultural and communal pride, sociopolitical and economic emancipation.
3.That the citizens and children of this noble land shall henceforth be considered as authentic children of the great Oduduwa in the same way as their brothers and sisters in the Yorubaland.
4. That the land of Bahia de todos as Santos shall henceforth be invoked in all the prayers and blessings offered in the palace of Oonirisa, Alase Adimula in Ile Oduduwa, especially on the annual occasion of the Olojo festival when the Ooni wears the ancient and the most sacred Are crown to bless the entire Yoruba nation and the il'eya omo Oduduwa, when the Ooni celebrates his coronation anniversary with the world.
Responding, Christiane Taquari, Bahia state Commissioner for Culture, commended the royal father for the visit, and assured him of their readiness to obey all his admonitions and further preserve Yoruba traditions and culture.
Also in a remarks Ambassador of Guinea Bissau to Brazil, Dr. Rui Barai, acknowledged the leadership role Nigerian government has been playing in Africa, especially West Africa at ensuring that peace reigns across the region.
Barai added that he chose to attend the event because of severial reports about activities of Ooni Ogunwusi he has read and urged him not to relent in his pursuance of peace and efforts aimed at reuniting all descendants of the Yoruba race.
Also commenting, honourary consular, Guinea Bissau to Brazil, Adailton Maturino does Santos, called for support for Ooni Ogunwusi for him to successful implement all his laudable programmes designed to foster unity among the descendants of Oduduwa.
He added: "News about Ooni's peace project is all over the world. He needs support by all to successful implement all he plans, as successful implementation of the programmes will foster peace and engender economic prosperity for the Yoruba race."

Show the screenshot to people around you to help you understand it. It is obvious English is a major problem for you.

Again: The paper says the King surrounded himself with Lucumi who co-ruled with him to prevent injustice. It also said that this is not to say Bini folks did not also serve in the administration and that for instance there were Bini slaves in the palace who had family.

The conclusion is final and any remaining doubt about who fathered the other between Ife and Bini is erased by the collective articles of history and current affairs authored by credible and authentic scholars and submitted by Yorubas to reinforce the facts.

Unlike Yoruba, Edo has failed to submit a single article or publication from authentic source and backed by academic authorities in support of its claim that Bini fathered Ife.

What Edo has done, and failed at accomplishing, is use of dirty words, attack on the stool of Ooni, attack on his personality, attack on Yorubas, use stereotype but false labels to denigrate Yorubas, attack on individual posters in here with vulgar and filthy words. In short, they diverted away from proving their claim as source....thereby leaving room for Yoruba to dealt blow, article after article, and demolish their claim.

I salute Yorubas! You have done four things in this thread.

1. Raised consciousness to the fact there are two societies and descendant pedigree, the aristocrat Bini foreigner, the indigeneous Edo.

2. Convinced that Ogiso Owodo had a dysfunctional family, palace and rule, and his son, Ekaladheran himself had a questionable character and insanity of mind.

3. Proved that Edo society at the transition of sovereign power from Oranmiyan to Eweka were still much in disarray and disorderly, refusing to accept a foreign ruler on their land. To pacify their rebellion, the Chiefs used Ekaladheran as a hook to make Eweka acceptable. This started the HOAX, which you have convincingly articulated.

4. Established, one after the other, records in arts, history, ethnography, anthropology...that consistently support and show unbiased evidence that Ife birthed Bini, which then birthed other lands beyond. That the Bini Kingdom is a Yoruba property.

Oduduwa a Gbe wa o!

This piece of shitt must certainly bring some mental relief to a defeated mind like you and Y0ruba and others in your classless group. Ignorance is bliss boy!

Now, you have clearly identified yourself as a pig headed, dubious idiot. Go back to first screenshot you posted and see where it clearly stated that you people were slaves in the Oba of Benin's court. The indigenous people were used for administration according to that post not this one you just posted.

A dicky dick head you are.

The dimwit who hasn’t posted one page of a research, not even from the Oba Bini’s palace is upset grin

Here, the screenshots I posted will haunt you for a very loooooong time. See the parts highlighted in ‘crayons’ this time read slowly. Dum.bb fook.

Fake scholar, is simple English a problem for you? I already told you that this document you posted simply says that Yorubas were slaves employed to work in the palace and you are still celebrating your stupidity..
I see that it is the word "Royal Bureaucracy" that is confusing your peanut sized brain abi..

Let me educate you because I know you lack basic education.
Bureaucracy simply means "people/staffs that work in a government. Royal Bureaucracy means people/staffs that work in a palace.
Don't get it twisted fake scholar.. The Lucumites (Yorubas) were the people (slaves) employed to work in the palace, because they can be easily punished (beheaded) if they error unlike the natives who if punished can cause sentiments against the Palace..

I said it before that you are not a scholar.. You are a MUMU..

shut up there dumbass royal bureaucracy are the people that work hand in hand with the king in several administrative and so many other roles. If it meant slave it will just state slave on the article. According to the article it says “some natives (Benin) natives may have also serve in Benin administrators but the attraction of foreigners as loyal dependencies without bothersome family ties may have influenced the Benin ruler to staff their association with Yoruba rather than subjects of Benin.” Let me explain that in simple English for u ur king rather want Yoruba as administrative of his kingdom rather than Benin natives cuz of their loyalty and no family ties in Benin. U don’t have to be a “scholar” to understand simple English. Below is what administrators do as u can see if Benin boys mess up its likely Yoruba administrators that will u know punish them lol.

If you like twist it.. We already know what the royal bureaucracy was. They were people employed work in the palace administration, and not in the general affairs of the kingdom. The king had his ministers to do that.
Your people were just palace slaves, working in the day to day administration of the palace.. Their job ranges from bodyguards, security, cook, messengers, some could even rise up to the level of personal assistant on some matters..

Anyways the reason you mumu brother posted the document was to show that Yoruba was the official language of the Benin Palace.. but since we showed him how stupid he was, you guys now changed the narrative lol..
So what are you trying to prove now with the document? All I see is its says Yoruba slaves were employed to work in the palace.

I don't see what your definition of administrator got to do with anything.. Being an administrator doesn't make you royalty or give you nobility.. It is a job.. Even a slave can be appointed to administer over security or administer over cutting of grass around the palace..

Im about to show you slave. grin

Ooni is in Brazil to declare a diaspora capital founded by Yoruba slaves. Thats a legacy and a monument that lives on.

Orun Oba Ado in Ife is the crypt of Binin Obas, a monument that lives on.

Where is the monument erected for your ancestors that were sacrified to the worship in Ife? Where is any monument to remember the Edo stock of male slaves slaughtered when the Oba dies?

Are you aware that hundreds of your forefathers were slaughtered in Bini to ward off the punitive expedition of 1897? It was believed killing hundreds of the Edos and spilling their blood at the gate will appease the gods and save Bini blood from the impending wrath.

Is your witchery still working?

Where is a monument for many of you slaughtered when Biafra occupied you and ra.yped you for 48hrs?

Mmmtcheew...im wasting time asking you to explain. grin grin
Let me just post so the papers can explain themselves. grin
