We have to be carefull on several things though.
Oduduwa is a myth, a folkloric figure, there is no historical document of his existence. Rather it is a story being told with no proof to back it.
Also, what people need to focus on are historical documents: documents describing historical events and written in the same period as the events. That is what it really means to document ones history. A lot of things are written in the internet which are lies and fabrication, in that category you can put almost everything written by a yoruba about african history. The yoruba filled wikipedia with fairytails and pretended that it was actual history.
