To respect the decision of undiluted faith of Egyptian Muslim goal keeper will be difficult for them... Hypocrite of monotheistic faith always expect others to be like them.

His action should teach us something. His belief is a lesson to all of us, pushing firm no matter the cost. Whether X or Y religion.

My issue is with the title of this post. Was he refused the award or DID HE REJECT THE AWARD?

Rejecting the award on the basis of conviction is absolutely fine but being REFUSED AN AWARD FOR ONES CONVICTION IS WRONG!

HE REJECTED THE AWARD... HE WAS NOT REFUSED THE AWARD.

OP please correct the title

I mean part of the money FIFA share yo all participant is from the same Budwiser company....I mean you cannot reject the award and accept the money.
Again, I mean all Muslim countries shouldnt have participated because it is sponsored by alcohol producing company.

Carry your useless propaganda elsewhere.
They don't want you. Go and build your continent.

Migration is good but if are becoming nuisance to your hosts, they (the hosts) reserve the right to deport them. If they refuse, they learn a strategic way to do away with you. Simple!
You didn't read that post. They were not deported, it was a genocide, mass murder.

He shouldn't have participated in this tournament knowing that an "alcoholic" company is part of the sponsors. OKAY to express your views about anything but it must be TOTAL, CLEAR and UNAMBIGUOUS; otherwise it can be viewed as HYPOCRISY.

Don't mind most of them, awards can be rejected based on the person's ideology. I don't know why they don't want to respect his faith, Can a Hindu accept an award from a beef producing company.
Respect to the Egyptian goalkeeper, a good muslim must not have anything to do with alcohol be it directly or indirectly.

He refused to collect an award presented to him by Budweiser - an alcoholic beverage producing company.
Why on earth is he and his th Egyptian team then competing in the same tournament sponsored by the same alcoholic beverage producing company?

Yesterday, I read on the news how the Hisbah police in Zamfara state arrested males and females who were celebrating sallah tohether and were not married. And also the destruction of brothels, hotels and beer joints by the Borno state government some weeks back.
Where does the funding of the Hisbah police come from? State allocation!!! Gathered from proceed of the sale of crude oil and taxes paid by private and multinationals including hotels, brothels, alcohol producing coys and so on.

THAT IS HYPOCRISY!!!!

Your argument here I'm afraid is pointless.

Sponsorship of the world cup is very different from the man of the match award.

The man of the match award is solely sponsored by Budweiser. It also comes with a financial reward made from the proceeds of the sale of beer.

The weekend on the other hand is jointly sponsored by various sponsors.

Wow... Why the attack on him? Have South Africans done away with the white immigrants that became nuisance? We have to start thinking for ourselves as Africans. How can we build our continent when we don't understand history? We have no memories of our place in the world before slavery.

BAILMONEY:
The Egyptian keeper Mohamed El-Shenawy refused his man-of-the-match award against Uruguay because of his faith.

The MOTM award was sponsored by Budweiser which is an alcoholic beverage maker and due to Muslims practise of not taking alcohol, he rejected the award.

El-Shenawy was phenomenal, keeping out Uruguay and even though he was eventually breached, he was responsible for keeping Egypt’s hopes alive.

Egypt aren’t out of it yet with Russia and Saudi Arabia still to play and with news that Mohamed Salah will be fully fit for those games, the Egyptians will feel galvanised to fight till the end.

The award which is shaped like a red goblet clearly connotes what it is representing and El-Shenawy wanted no part of it, rejecting the award when it was presented to him.

Budweiser is one of the main sponsors for the 2018 World Cup in Russia having signed a deal with FIFA as the official alcohol supplier to the tournament.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper is the shot-stopper for Al-Ahly of Egypt and his stock has risen after that first game with many recognising his goalkeeping talent and it’ll be interesting to see what happens if he keeps this up during the competition. There could even be a European move on the cards
