Sir, a modicum piece of knowledge you need to answer your question. In Islam, it's clearly stipulated that we can marry, eat, and do all good things with the people of the books. Take note sir

Wow... Why the attack on him? Have South Africans done away with the white immigrants that became nuisance? We have to start thinking for ourselves as Africans. How can we build our continent when we don't understand history? We have no memories of our place in the world before slavery.

Of course we are not the same and you can solve your bigotry by finding yourself another planet instead - how has his refusal to accept an award affected you or any one? - if not sheer hatred and stupidity. angry

I am a Christian, born again and I believe what he did is commendable. How many Christians are willing to say 'No' to what God has told them is wrong? This should challenge every Christian.

If a Moslem can do this because his faith says so, what are the things God has told you but you are neglecting because you think the grace of God will cover you.

Selah!

Every body is not a hypocrite.
There are people who are faithful to their belief and practice it to the later. There are also others who are indifferent that doesn't make them hypocrites too. But then there are others who are hypocrites.

I love what he did... It is a sign of being faithful even when you know you would be rudicled.
If he was faithful, then he shouldn't have come to the world cup.

The world cup is sponsored by Budweiser.

The Egyptian national team is selling the Budweiser brand to the world in every single match they play whether they know it or not.

He refused to collect an award presented to him by Budweiser - an alcoholic beverage producing company.
Why on earth is he and his th Egyptian team then competing in the same tournament sponsored by the same alcoholic beverage producing company?

Yesterday, I read on the news how the Hisbah police in Zamfara state arrested males and females who were celebrating sallah tohether and were not married. And also the destruction of brothels, hotels and beer joints by the Borno state government some weeks back.
Where does the funding of the Hisbah police come from? State allocation!!! Gathered from proceed of the sale of crude oil and taxes paid by private and multinationals including hotels, brothels, alcohol producing coys and so on.

THAT IS HYPOCRISY!!!!
Well, I don't like to comment on issues like this, but since I feel I know the answer to ur question, I decided to say something. Zakir Nike was asked by an air hostess who sometimes during the course of her work had to serve alcohol to passengers.. She complained to the management of the airline about it and they moved her to the counter where she would have no contact with alcohol.. Still troubled, she needed to find out if her earnings is halal.. The scholar opined (with backings from d Quran and d traditions of the prophet pbuh) that if the major source of income of the airline is not haram, then the lady's income is deemed not to be haram. In this case, the world cup is not solely sponsored by the alcoholic brand. Meanwhile, I worked with NB as a senior sales person. I still drink alcohol occasionally till date.

Budweiser sponsors the world cup along with other brands, as well as the MOTM award.

They are the official alcoholic beverage sponsors of the 2018 FIFA world cup.
The world cup does not have only one sponsor

What's all the fuss about, and why the silly need to bring in religion??! I would have rejected the award on the grounds of being a teetotaller... Let's stop being unnecessarily hypocritical and stupidly religious, it's really irritating... With all our religion, no African country has performed up to average nor won a game so far... As if you hypocrites won't accept juicy jobs or contracts from mega alcohol brewing industries.

BAILMONEY:
The Egyptian keeper Mohamed El-Shenawy refused his man-of-the-match award against Uruguay because of his faith.

The MOTM award was sponsored by Budweiser which is an alcoholic beverage maker and due to Muslims practise of not taking alcohol, he rejected the award.

El-Shenawy was phenomenal, keeping out Uruguay and even though he was eventually breached, he was responsible for keeping Egypt’s hopes alive.

Egypt aren’t out of it yet with Russia and Saudi Arabia still to play and with news that Mohamed Salah will be fully fit for those games, the Egyptians will feel galvanised to fight till the end.

The award which is shaped like a red goblet clearly connotes what it is representing and El-Shenawy wanted no part of it, rejecting the award when it was presented to him.

Budweiser is one of the main sponsors for the 2018 World Cup in Russia having signed a deal with FIFA as the official alcohol supplier to the tournament.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper is the shot-stopper for Al-Ahly of Egypt and his stock has risen after that first game with many recognising his goalkeeping talent and it’ll be interesting to see what happens if he keeps this up during the competition. There could even be a European move on the cards

They should stop participating in the tournament then because it gave birth to the award. They should bring an end to their participation in the world cup,Olympics and other sports tournament since it's haram.

We Muslims will be happy if you leave the planet for us. Each religion can have its own planet. The fact that you are a drunk does not mean that you should force alcohol down everyone's throat. This however does not mean that I am not a sinner like you, far from it, I sin as much as you do but I do not commit the type of sin you commit.

My dear that was never the case. As regards the write up, there is nothing in it that states blacks entered the country through visiting visa hence, the use of Hosts and Guests is improper.

We all know blacks in America got there as a result of slave trade. So, getting rid of them after distorting their communal lives here in Africa should be seen as crime against humanity.
