So these writters are trying to feign ignorant? They didn't know the differences in the courses? Okay, but at least they know they were not the same JAMB admission cut off scores, abi?

Ok o, kon-teee-new pretending undecided

I like the fact that you are trying to bring unity amongst the medical and para-medical and biomedical students. Maybe by doing that JOESHU won't fight anymore in the future. Issssorice o.

Me, I knew I may find it difficult getting top high score in JAMB if I wrote Biology and I don't want and Bio-, Para- anything. For me, if it's not Medicine and Surgery, e no fit be like Medicine and Surgery. So I kuku took mathematics instead. And excelled at it.

I'm a practicing Engineer today and I'm happy. Tomorrow, Poly-Tech will come and follow me and be dragging space. Ifia hia! sad

In other developed countries, health workers work like a team but in Nigeria it’s otherwise, and all to the detriment of the patients.

Passing same basic science class with nursing, pharmacy, medical lab, and medical students doesn't make or create any equality ever, same way having a classmate in elementary school 20 years ago doesn't make all of you equal today.

Typical example of bad blood in the health sector.

you studied engineering and where are you today?
Preparing to look for a job in a private secondary school?
Or join the big number of unemployed engineering graduates roaming the street.

Don't delude yourself.
Even an auxiliary nurse who is a quack has more job opportunities than you in Nigeria .
Tell one health profession you are better than,
Is it Nursing or Pharmacy or Medical lab scientist, or physiotherapy or medical radiographer?
.
Comot for road make we see space.
NB : I respect Engineering but don't overstretch your limit, respect other profession

All these superiority nonsense is the reason the country has remained unproductive. What's with the constant rivalry, ego and chest beating over the uselessly dormant and unproductive third world certificates??

Nigerian professionals (especially the poorly and ill exposed ones) are the most disgusting sets of people in the world. Why can't you ediots just put your heads together and deliver quality services to people without taking us back to your rigid university courses and unproductive titles??

"Greatest Engineer!! PhD Engineer!!" Yet you ediots wont stop running helter skelter after Grade II Chinese and Indian technicians. These are countries that understand teamwork, project delivery.

The world is moving so fast and paying more attention to what you can do; please stop reminding us what you studied with your expired and imported curricular.

How many successful surgeries or test have you carried out with your team? That's what the patient wants to know, we are not interested in your certificates.

There's no battle for supremacy, we do our "strength of material", calculus, thermodynamics, technical drawings etc, together from year 1 to 5, we are so much into each other that an outsider will not be able to tell we are from different departments..

Engine boys rock

Yes there is no dichotomy, but there is a battle for supremacy.

EE/Civil/ME look down on other Engineering programs like Agric and Food engineering. They claim to be "more engineering" than the others and have better job opportunities.

From 300 level, everyone almost goes their separate ways except maybe one or two courses brings you people together (Mathematics and related departments like chemical and petroleum, EE and computer might do some courses together).

The fight for supremacy is there but not as pronounced as we have in the medical field.

You guys are just too backward abeg!
Tell them.
The health sector in developed countries is centered around the patient thereby promoting teamwork among the health professionals,
But in this backward country, it's all about one profession trying to dominate other professionals in the health sector.
It's getting worse day by day and it will be the patient that will bear the consequences.

Even in these advanced countries you mentioned, their is disparity. In China, for instance, "zhuangke" which is equivalent of OND is different from "gaozhuang" which is the equivalent of "HND" is different from "benke" which is Bachelors, different from "shuoshi", which is Masters. When you get employed into a company, your academic qualification determines the cadre you are placed. That is where you start growing from. Everybody respects each other. Nobody drags a position superior to what he/she has acquired academically. Afterall, there was pre-requisites for entry into higher education.

Tomorrow 3rd class will come and be dragging position with 1st class. How? Because "they took the same courses together". So? undecided

The institution is not growing because of the people who wants to be placed where they are not qualified to be. They are the ones dragging everyone backwards.

Good.
You better know your place.
No one gives a dime about your engineering crap.
It's no longer a respected profession and many parents are not enthusiastic about seeing their children reading it..
Wake up to reality.
BTW this is a thread for health professionals,
Don't know who invited you here with your ameebo.
It's a sign of inferiority complex.

You called me names, I ignored. Gave me meaningless titles, I ignored. But you are not satisfied. Why?

I have allowed you win the fight, even blew you a kiss, yet you are not satisfied. Why?

This thread is not anything about Engineering. Yet you are hammering on it as if your life depends on it? Why?

Even if you win a hundred times, you'll still not be satisfied. Why?

Always being on the fight-mode is personality problem. The reason why the real medical doctors will not give you a chance!

Madam, biko, I beg you calm down and be humble in whatever field you work in. Don't be fighting for superiority upandan. Or get a JAMB form and start afresh.

When you said you'll not allow your kids study Engineering, I looked at that statement and smiled. You know why? Because you have never seem the outside world. Engineering to you is just lighting a bulb. Such a small small mind that you have.

Please continue fighting, but no tear pant o grin

Rewrite jamb for what?
I will be the one to give you that advice because you need it.
I can't allow any of my children to read the Nigeria type of engineering profession that I am seeing.
So inferior and not respected.
I rather see my son read Nursing like his mom and then move abroad than to see him waste his time and years reading engineering.
Why deluding yourself?
I don't need any jamb again because I am already in a well respected profession,
I know your painment,
Keep it to yourself,
Nobody gives a dime about you and your crap B.engr certificate.
Thanks
