Am sure you also read the part where I referred to a previous experience I had with the use of Natural honey in treating a post surgical wound. That would not require medical certification from some medical bodies I guess. Honey inhibits the growth of bacteria naturally without any side effect, that is a fact, yes not all information gotten from Google are verifiable, its a gateway to different sources of information ,you just have to be able to sort them so as to get the right info.
I want to write my thesis on this. Honey and wound healing. More materials will be appreciated.

It's not as though you are not making sense bro, it's just that your comments are full of sense and nonsense in almost equal proportions, to the extent that your whole submission becomes null and void at best.
Why not read up exploratory laparotomy , the surgery that was eventually done for this lady? Wikipedia may be your best friend in this case.

I am not a medical personnel so I will thank you for telling me something new. From the story they decided to operate on her again because they thought she has cancer.

I am a Mathematician, so Yes there can be errors in medicine and it's the duty of the doctor involved to minimise the error to the nearest lowest margin, and the doctors ability to minimise that error is the reason why he's a competent doctor. Now understand my point in this case, would u say the doctor/hospital should not be held accountable for his mistake after that long period of time doing try and error with the lady simply because doctors are prone to mistakes?. If such errors are allowed to go unchecked what do u think will be of the medical practise in the country?.

Ha ha ha, youre so stuuupiid i find it absolutely hilarious. Peptic ulcer disease is caused by a bacteria called h.pylori, that is the modern understanding of the pathology. Drink 8 gallons of honey and dont eradicate the organism with proper antibiotics and PPI. After a couple of months the ulcer will bleed and perforate, then you will bring your smelly , non-deodorant wearing ass to the hospital and expect me to perform a miracle when bacteria is pouring from your gastrintestinal tract into your blood stream. Then when you die, you and your equally ignorant relatives will be looking for incompetent doctor to blame, when in actual fact your gross stupidity and refusal to read a fucking book when you could have, would have saved your miserable life. Keep wallowing in your folly, im quite sure i will meet you sooner than later. what a fucking slowpoke on Sunday morning. You need an exorcist to remove the stupid demon in you.

So much bile in one post grin

Initially they were treating typhoid cos of the symptoms he presented,5 days later he was diagnosed of ruptured appendix, he was wheeled into the theater the sixth day and operated on.While recuperating in the hospital he complained of pains for about another 5 days and gave up about 3 days later. In total he spent about two weeks in the hospital .BTW I had a similar case back in 1997.God had a hand in my survival aside the doctors.Dr Bala God bless you wherever you are.
who was treating typhoid? Was it in one hospital he had all his treatments?

almost 98%, it is essentially treated as an infectious disease in modern climes and h.pylori eradication is mandatory after surgery for perforation or bleeding. surgeries like vagotomies are no longer performed because pharmaceutical vagotomies are equally effective in acid reduction. the adage has changed from no acid no ulcer to no h.pylori no ulcer.

but not 100%, right? Now re-read your earlier post that I quoted. You stated it categorically that the bacteria was the cause of PUD, as if no other causes exist.

Use your Wikipedia reference for your fellow medical students, HO or MO attempting primaries because I have no doubt that a reg is more matured to be typing the way you've been doing since. Your composure so far is short of what's expected of an experienced and civil medical doctor. Just read your post to Osolo1 when he mentioned honey. How do you expect positive attitudinal change with this kind of manners? And before we talk now, you'll start making references to doctors abroad, do they address potential clients/patients like this too? Grow up man!

The most unfortunate thing is that, with social media, we can hide behind keypads and interact with people we dare not cough in their presence. It's fine Sha.

just thinking aloud : don't you think that a video of all surgeries in any hospital is necessary and important; and should be accessible to a board? At least we would have discovered that that plaster had suddenly disappeared!
Yeah, that could help, especially if camera can be at an angle to see what is going on up close enough.... well maybe someday we'll get there.

My question remains: was the abdo pack us as a tamponade? How is it possible to forget something that big in someone so fragile?
exactly my thought too. Not even a gauze. It was most likely used to hold the intestines back but d 'surgeon' forgot to hold it with a big holding instrument to make it near impossible to forget. Very unfortunate

Hey slowpoke, you obviously wobbled and fumbled through medical school and with your very unscientific response, I know youre not one to engage in a sensible argument with. So honey has become magic bullet for all bacteria? Both pathogenic and commensals? If that be the case Mr civility, you and Osolo should get together and verify your claims by drinking water from one of the ponds you live near and drink honey in therapeutic doses and tell me if honey will work for invasive organisms. Did you read the link I so painstakingly posted where it was verified that H.pylori is the cause of PUD are are you also dyslexic as well as plain moronic. You need to be put down a peg or two boy cos I know from our brief interaction that not only are u not very bright, you will also benefit from a slap or two and maybe a good beating because I really don't suffer fools. They annoy me to know end and I have a horrible temper as well as a vile invective laden tongue.

you need help, serious one. Now let me provide one of the immediate ones.
What I implied was that you don't elicit positive attitudinal change by being abusive or crude. Or to simplify it further for you, You can't collect a misconception from people by being harsh on them. The comprehension probs still persists? You only correct wrongs by being right. Still not understood? Consult a spiritual leader cheesy cheesy

I've no doubt that you're still a medical student who doesn't even know what the future holds. Only if you can say these to my face, that's when it can have impact on me, otherwise it's just a case of delusion of grandeur for you. We know how your likes end cry
Udo, I'll call a very competent psychiatrist friend to do the needful, if you're not yet in psychosis to exhibit denial. It's just fortunate that urs are positive symptoms with very excellent prognosis. I just hope those who do not understand your ailment will take ur manifestations as conditional. cheesy cheesy

I may not quote you again, because I've stopped talking to boys like you.

Ha ha ha, I enjoy your discomfiture and the agitation ive been able to elicit, a couple of them barbs hit home. You never addressed the hard facts I tried to enlighten you with, instead you are more preoccupied with banal insults about my mental state and my job designation. Pathetic and pitiable. I will say these things to your face if we ever meet(not that I'm in need of meeting more retards, God knows I see enough of them every day in the ER with claims of magic honeys, oils and other mumbo jumbo) and if you try to assault me, I will have you locked up because from your tone, I can tell you are the kind of uncouth animal that will probably turn into a violent thug when he sees superior reasoning and logic have supervened, God I'm in the mood today!!!!!!!!!!!! grin Imagine arguing against NOBEL winning scientific facts, who does that except someone who just feels like arguing? Bow your head in shame and call the same exorcist I recommended for your cohort, you both need to get rid of them demons of stupidity

Well after all the banters and arguememts on this thread so far the conclusion is this.

The doctor was very wrong to make such a life threatening mistake. He should be sanctioned along with the team that performed that surgery.

Thank God someone shares the same opinion with me.

All the so called medical practitioners in this thread saying doctors are not above mistakes are the very ones who kill people everyday due to wrong diagnostic and prescriptions.

We all saw how errors in the construction industries have led to thousands of lives being lost from building collapse. Human lives should not be toiled with in anyway.
