Hello good people. I submitted my WES application today and didnt carefully check that the name on my document is not what I filled in application-the first letter of my middle name is not on my documents like ADEOLU and DEOLU. Is this going to be an issue?? Thank you @CanadaPR @GlitteringStar |

To God be the Glory!!! This journey started February 2015 but today PPR came through. Made IELTS on the 4th attempt (14th Oct 2017) ITA - 20 Dec 2017 AOR - 23rd Feb 2018 MEP - 5th March 2018 IP2 - 6th March 2018 RPRF - 24th March 2018 (Paid with IRCC Requesting) GCMS Notes - filled with IRCC on 31st May 2018 having observed that people were getting PPR few weeks after ordering GCMS notes. Yet to get the notes itself. Ghost Update - 18th June 2018 PPR - 25th June 2018 Challenges 1. I made IELTS at 4th attempt (Listening showed me pepper! 7.5 until the last attempt) 2. 70% POF was resident in my spouse's account 3. Got married 6th Dec 2014 but the marriage certificate given by the church looked dodgy (no certificate number), also, we didn't do a court marriage. My wife's change of name document wasn't done till April 2015. Considering all these, we had to book a date at Ikoyi Marriage Registry on 28th Dec 2018 (after obtaining ITA). 4. While creating the Profile, I included my wife's work experience but we had to remove it and include it in personal history Post- ITA as her employer wouldn't give the Reference Letter in CIC format. I really can't tell it all but just using this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has contributed in making this forum so helpful. Special thanks to all those who respond to questions irrespective of those questions being repetitive or plain stupid. Thanks so much @kontagious. God bless you all. Hello guys. Semi silent member here. I need advice on an issue. Long post ahead! My husband worked in Angola a few years ago as a commuter ( 1 month in and 1 month out) but left the company and has been in Nigeria. We tried to get Angola PCC for our PR application. We called the Angolan embassy in Nigeria and asked if they issue. We were told they do not and we should go to Angola. My husband's visa had expired and it wad tied to his company. Getting Angola visa is really difficult. We contacted some people still in Angola and they couldn’t help. So we asked my husband’s former office in Angola to assist us to get the PCC. The HR Mgr (an Angolan Lady) replied that the govt doesn’t give PCC to people who have work permits. They only give to people who have temporary resident permits or permanent residency permits. Then the hr manager offered to write a letter vouching for him that he was of good conduct during the time he was in Angola and they had full responsibility for him. We attached this letter, the emails with the hr mgr explaining how and why she couldn’t get PCC for us and a letter of explanation. We also know a permanent resident in Canada had used this same format with a letter of good conduct from her and his PR was approved. Anyway, when I ordered the 1st gcms notes, we noticed that our PCC was referred to an agent for “best efforts review” which we passed and then passed R10. I just got another set of gcms notes now and I saw an officer’s note that said “checking with Nairobi about Angolan PCC availability” What’s scaring me is the fact that I know some people who got the PCC through.means I won't state here incase CIC is reading. So I know for a fact that some.people have this PCC. And I don't trust the Angola. Government. They are like Nigeria. Not straightforward. I don’t know what to do now. My AOR is Nov 24th and I believe this is what is the cause of my delays. I need advise on how I can make my case strong or whatever. All inputs are welcome. Thanks. 1 Like |

Fizzile, TEECAN, einsteino, ednut1,elfmannisback,mcstan18, thank you guys for your timely advise about starting me and my spouse's application afresh. We contacted the immigration lawyer and told her we would like to stop using her service and that she should refund the money paid for application...after a little stalling, she agreed to pay up as soon as she can cancel our registration from their database. She says it will take up to a month, so fingers crossed. Once we get our refund, we can start a fresh application |

To God be the glory, COPR and Stamped passports at hand Walks in with the COPR Dance Timeline ITA- January 24th AOR- March 27th PPR- May 17th PP submission - May 22nd PUM- June 20th COPR- June 25th Principal Applicant (plus 2 Dependents) CRS- 466 NOC 3112 I have learnt so much from this forum so i promised myself i was gonna give back to this forum.I met this forum when it was in Part 1 around page 660, and I read the whole of part 1,2 ,3, and am still partially reading thread 4 ECA :- Done via MCC (Timeline 4month 10days). For more information on MCC ECA process read vcole's or Ugoiykes post. Spouse ECA via WES (still in progress for 10months, all thanks to our Nigerian school system) IELTS: PA LRWS 9,7.5,7.5,7 (2nd attempt) Spouse ielts LRWS 7,7,7,7 (1st and only attempt) equivalent of 18/20. WORK EXPERIENCE : Combined 4 reference letters ONLY to claim 3years plus work experience (no pay slip, or any other documents). Claimed work experience with my housemanship/paid internship, pre nysc work, PPA (nysc), post nysc work . Note: All in the same NOC I had to do a cover letter like this, for example Job A Jan 2014 to Feb 2015 = 1year 1month Job B Feb 2015 to June 2015 = 5month Job C July 2015 to August 2016=1 year 1month Job D. .................,, Cover letter was important because my work experience became 3years and 3weeks the day I got ITA, plus I was combining 4 reference letters PROOF Of FUNDS: I got 100percent of pof from spouse post ITA and I did a fixed deposit of it, then I had some cash in Joint account which I also used. So I submitted Cover letter of lump sum,table of pof, fixed deposit certificate,6months bank statements, joint account statement, Oando printout of currency conversion on the day of submission. Digital photo: In the village where I stay, we don't have studio 24. So i was always describing and drawing out the picture size and dimension for the photographers , some photographers will tell me don't worry, they know how to do it , when the picture comes out it will be a disaster. Because i usually carry my Ruler to studio and measure the work by myself, I ended up rejecting 2 sets of pictures from 2 photographers before I got the right one. Change of name: Affidavit from court and court Marriage certificate only Proof of mariage: court marriage certificate only. Medicals and pcc: pretty straightforward LOE: Submitted Loe for lump sum and work experience Note: My loe was the same thing with cover letter Try and work on your LinkedIn profile and all other social media profile, even before entering the pool (I learnt all these from nairaland). Because during the period i submitted my application, my spouse and I were viewed on private modes in LinkedIn. Anyway I was waiting for ircc sef (smiles). IRCC use these medium to verify work experience. Please newbies try and read from the beginning of each thread you meet, before you even get to page 300, u will be speaking like an immigration Consultant(this will happen if you read the thread well). No matter how good you are in this express entry process, have a mentor(someone who have successfully gone through the process) who will help you confirm that you have submitted the right documents in the right placeholder or you are not missing anything out. Special thanks to Ugoiyke who was my mentor in these whole process, thank you derel for being my friend. To all the lovely people in the house like Glitteringstar and everyone who answers questions.
