When was that please? And also was the date given 2 weeks away from the date they applied?

Most times they don't reply to incorrect mails. You should request an acceptance letter from your school to use and pursue visa. If the acceptance letter doesn't carry a Lagos address, it'll be easier to book for Abuja appointment.

Thank you sir

Now e no Dey work oh. They will still push u to lag...
Happened to two ppl I know. After wasting their time

I think this is what is happening now.. if you've been following the chat, a guy was lamenting some weeks back how he was been delayed because he booked with another address (Abuja address I suppose) while he's admission letter carries Lagos address.

It depends if u re applying for Bachelor or Masters and if the course of ur choice is in Deutsch ( u need Minimum of B1 in German language) or in English (might need toefl or other English test)

For Bachelor

If u re applying with ur Waec, u won’t get direct admission, u will first attend Studienkolleg
If u re applying with ND or higher u might get direct admission

For masters
U need ur Bsc and other requirements depending on the course

Visit daad website for more info and also read the visa requirements for students visa application

When your admission status says:

"Participation in admission process", I guess that means your documents were well accepted?

I applied to two schools in the Baden-Wurttemberg State, because my options were limited, and my university actually caused it. Delaying my transcript for two months. In those two months, I missed out on a plethora of school applications. The one wey pain me pass na University Of Cologne MSc Finance program.

I therefore chose Heidelberg University for its ranking (64th in QS ranking) and Hohenheim (which I applied to by luck. The deadline date was six days to go, when I applied. My application reached Stuttgart on the deadline morning lol).

Other applications are Hannover and Jena. Hope to gain admission in even one of these schools. I will be thoroughly happy. I wish all the prospective students here a speedy admissions process, and very soon we shall say Auf wiedersehen to Nigeria, while Deutschland tells us Gern Gehschehen.

Hallo Leute,

I read some pages back that after interview and funding, the visa processing time is dependent on the state. Can someone shed more light on this? Which states are the fastest and slowest?

I don't think they were given two weeks different but am sure of one month different cos the one for June was given July and the other one probably apply in may and was given June so that's all I know

And they got this appointment when?? You should shed more light on this, since people are likely to follow your statement.

We've all witnessed on this thread that the Abuja trick is no longer working of recent, people who used Abuja as their location while having Lagos on their admission letter have been delayed and in the end given Lagos, some were even ignored.

What he's trying to say is, If you claim Abuja as your location, you should be consistent with it during your visa process, i.e your CV, prepaid courier envelope should be consistent with a valid Abuja address, as opposed to going for the visa interview with your docs bearing Lagos address

@Marocruz @justwise and other gurus

Pls, my programme in Hannover is just BTW September 3 to December 20 and that's less than 3 months . And I'm to do my second semester in a partner university abroad .

My question is this , is it student permit I will apply for or just visitors visa .... considering the short duration of my course in Germany . Pls help me.

Cuz I am aware that Canada dont issue TRV (but another type of visa)for students going for courses of less than 6 months.

I would like to know if Germany have a similar thing

Someone pls come to my rescue
