Wait till a new government comes in and suffers same fate as this administration. In 2014, September, Fulani herdsmen unleashed terror on Southern Kaduna which is a predominantly Christian region. Over 2000 people were killed in separate attacks that targeted woman and children, especially. Many people were mad at Goodluck. But today, he is a hero. When another government comes in and is unable to counter the killings, Nigerians will begin their games again. The games that have turned leaders like Obasanjo and Atiku into heroes. Even Atiku already has campaigners among the youths who should be asking him decisive questions.

In summary, Nigerians are swayed more by emotions stemming from religion and ethnicity. That is why we keep on recycling leaders. We recycle leaders who have had their chances and failed. We forget too easily. We listen to FFK (who has had his chance to revamp our air sector), Fayose (who cannot even pay salaries and has not even done anything out of the ordinary in Ekiti), Atiku (who had his chance in different capacities, first as Customs boss and then Vice President and did nothing notable) and Dino and Bruce (who are a part of the Federal Government we love to criticize) simply because they appear to be against Buhari (whom we love to hate). I bet you can see the sentiment. The same sentiment that would make people recycle Atiku just to make sure Buhari leaves and to turn Buhari into a hero as soon as Atiku begins to fail in their expectations.

And while we are blinded by sentiments, we forget to address the salient issue of structure which is obviously the fundamental problem of Nigeria.

if gej is a hero to some, he is a villain to me it was his failure that allowed the people look in the direction of the most wicked irresponsible democratic president Nigeria has ever produced i.e. buhari

To truely protect Nigeria, the indigenes will hv to be part of dt. And state policing offers such.

State police or armed state vigilantes is the way to go. The earlier it's done, the better. Too many lives have been lost.

The emboldened is up for debate. I don't believe Buhari is that bad.

And yes, GEJ may be a villain to you but there are thousands who now see him as a hero having quickly forgotten that under him, over 13,000 people lost their lives to the Boko Haram insurgency and that GEJ was insensitive for most of the time the killings were happening. You may not forget, but thousands have forgotten. And it is the sheer number that wins elections.

This new idea by the VP Osinbajo should be able to curb out these killings, the old way of policing the nation is not yielding much results. If this should be implemented, Nigeria will record good success against these attacks. I await the good response of PMB concerning this new initiative and I believe he will act in accordance for the wellbeing of the nation
