Those are not needed but it will not harm your application if included.

Nobody can honestly tell you what your chances are even the ECO, you just have to put in a good application and remain positive.

I was in almost same shoe as you last year so thought I share with you.
Doing my PhD now, though I am partially funded, the university takes care of all my tuition fee and I take care of my housing and feeding. So this was what we did (I, Hubby and Child). All maintenance money was in my Gtbank Account, it wasn't enough for three of us (Please dont try this oh!! have more than enough). I had to use super priority service to get my visa the next day, I was not interviewed. After I got my visa, Hubby and child visa appointment was booked two days after I got my visa, so we printed another bank statement and they used it. Hubby wasn't interviewed. We have settled in well and thankfully, it's the best decision we made so far.

1) Make sure the money is more than enough because of inflation and in your own bank account.
2) Marriage certificate
3) Lovey-dovey pictures and chat
4) Bills showing you both live in same house is good too (Though all these are extra but there is no harm having more than enough)
5) All your school documents ready
6) CAS
7) Tuberculosis test result
Prepare for you interview, you did your masters in UK (Likewise I), I guess you should be familiar with the interview questions

But our bank statement was given by our both parents. Can my dad show for the both of us or does the money need to be transfered to my own account.

1) What is the chance of us getting the visa (we are not bearing the same surname but we have a court marriage certificate).
2) whose account should the money be in?
3) Do we need to show pictures, house rent receipts, bills, and other things or landed documents to show we have ties?
4) what other ties can we show? Do we need employment letters (for both of us) or what?

My school resumes in October.

Please I need these answers quickly as am about to burst from anxiousness.

I had my tb test today. Am just a little bit worried because on the tb certificate given to me, the box for chest x ray was ticked abnormal as a result of spina bifida occulta. Although there was no trace of tuberculosis. Please has anyone had this kind of experience before? Will it affect my visa? 1 in every 10 people hAve Spina Bifida Occulta and you can live a normal life with it- it only implies there is a malformation of one or more bones of the spine. It's not even considered a disability except in severe cases. It is also not communicable and as such will have no impact on your studies.

I applied for a T4 visa with my spouse and son as dependents 2 months ago. The bank statement needs to be in your name (principal applicant)
If you were applying alone, you could have used your parent's statement but the guidance does not state if this is allowed for applicant's dependents so please use your account.
To answer your questions
1. Your chances of getting the visa are very high if you get the 40 points required i.e have enough cash as required and in the manner stated by the T4 guidance have your CAS, also if you prove to be a genuine student during the interview. Whether or not you and your spouse bear the same surname is irrelevant, just show the marriage certificate you have.
2. The money should be in your account
3. The T4 guidance doesn't require you showing you have ties to your home country. Personally I only submitted my bank statement, pictures of my family and I, TB certificate, ATAS certificate (if required) and my CAS. But if you feel more comfortable submitting your house documents, you can. You can never have too many supporting documents.
4. Employment letter isn't needed.

In summary, if the principal applicant receives his/her visa then your dependents should also be given theirs, except if they previously had some problem with UK immigrations or lie on their application. You should be fine, pls make allowance for fluctuation in exchange rate and make sure you have enough cash as stated in the T4 guidance to cover for your first year tuition and maintenance allowance. Your husband will most likely not be interviewed as only T4 applicants are interviewed. His travel history does not matter as this is a T4 dependent and not for a visitor's visa.
You've done the T4 interview before so you know what to expect.

I told her I already have a bsc and an Msc in OAU n unilag respectively, (psychology) The good thing the course I studied is related to the one I've got an admission for. I just strongly feel the need for a career change.

Please I'd like your experienced inputs, so I'd make an informed decision soonest.

Well, mental health nursing in not unrelated to psychology, had my first and second degrees in psychology and clinical psy respectively. it was after the Msc that I had an experience with people suffering with mental health issues. This particular experience has been an eye opener because I worked closely with a mental health team in a psychiatric ward and decided then I'd love to be more involved in the daily activities of the in-patients and improve their overall well-being. Being a psychologist on the team doesnt bring that much opportunity as I noticed i was always on the ward to help out... bla bla

Of course once I'm done studying in the UK, In plan to come back and establish a rehab center in Lagos, Nigeria as I would have had a lot of experience clinically and this would be transferred and put to god use. I've visited a couple of public and private mental facilities in Lagos Nigeria and I can boldly say we have a long way to go as regards the way mental health nurses trained locally handle patients and what they have to contribute in the ward rounds. Hence, the need to have an international exposure would help broaden my perspective.

This particular Uni caught my interest not just because a family friend that's an alumnus recommended them to me but also because of their course modules and the fact that I'd get a lot of hands on experience through the range of clinical placements available.

I think you should just relax as it doesn't have effect. When you get here you are still going to do another test and get treated. I am on tetfund here in UK and i had similar report last year

Typically, schools don’t want to “waste” a CAS.
Some schools have had their “licence to admit foreign students “ withdrawn as a result of their prospective students falling below Home Office (UKVI) standards.

As a result of the afore-mentioned, schools would usually require you to fulfil at least the 28 day rule, then issue you a CAS.

So... nothing unusual.

The Good news is that the 28 days (or whatever days your school requires) will run concurrently with what UKVI requires.

In this scenario, just prepare to have the money sit down in your account for greater than 35 days.

By the way.... did the school specifically tell you how long they would require the money to have stayed before you print the Acct statement?

Nothing to be worried about. Almost all schools in Uk now demand for SOA before CAS is issued and yes, you will get your CAS within 5 working days.

Had a family friend who finished secondary school in 2002 or 2003 and later got admission to uniben. He dropped out of uniben cos of his unseriousnes and wasted about 11 years of his life.

In 2014 (he was probably 28 then) he got admission to a college in Glasgow. I prepped him back then for possible interview questions. And of cos he needed to answer why he would just be going for HND at the age of 28 after graduating from high school since 2003 ( I knew they would ask - no brainier).

He told the interviewer HIS truth and justified why he is going now to give education a second chance. He got his visa, spent 2 years in getting his HND, crossed over to UWS, paisley at 300L and graduated with his BA (Hons) just this past week. He even invited me for his graduation but I could not attend.

Everyone told him back then in Nigeria he would not get the visa as he was too old and had a gap for 11 years (I must confess even I had fears for him but did not let him know). Today he is a graduate in uk and about to do his masters in September.

Your case is even better... you already have BSc, MSc and probably have a job. Please what is the worst that can happen to you? A refusal? I pray the school gives you an unconditional offer. Please happily apply for your visa afterwards.

Reason why we advise people not to use legal guardian is cos Nigerians hardly document such which then makes it difficult to prove that person is your legal guardian.

If your family friend is scared of transferring the money into your account, tell him to open an account in your name for you in the same bank and branch he uses. He should then transfer the money to that account and tell the bank not to allow you access to withdraw the money. Once the 28 days is over plus the period of visa processing, he then takes back his money.

I THINK it is possible to do this if he speaks with his account officer. There should be a way around that. Maybe the bankers on here can help out.

Please note, the advice I gave to you is something I think (not sure) is possible.
