Yes I used nipost once and my experience was very bad ..sent from Enugu it took 25days to get there..so since den I ran from Nipost..use dhl or FedEx.. Since deadline is rilly close...u cant rely on Nipost at dis point because there's no more tym...
My humble opinion

I might try FedEx, let me hook up with my friend that works there. Na the cost i was dodging from.

There's, from my little knowledge most university that offer such course have German as their course language. So if you want her to study she need to be good in German language.

Then masters program, some uni held in english and there's tuition fee of 2,000 Euro per semester.

For my own advice.
Allow her to finish the study here in Nigeria and also learning German. So that if she graduate, she can enroll for master program.

Thou am a medical radiographer currently doing my nysc service.

Which school she's ?
you can try MSC medical photonics in Jena (FSU)

Dailydolar, please what could be the problem? I sent two separate documents through NIPOST from here in Aba since 19th of June and up till now the schools are yet to receive them. Is there any cheaper courier i can use this next week that is very fast cos I have 15th July deadline.

Pecky222, did you use Nipost and how long did it take?
from what I understand your letter is suppose to be in Germany this week so I just think you should write the school first to confirm from them but if you sure they have not received it then you can send tru DHL or other couriers
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Rosicky7(m): 2:39pm On Jul 07, 2018
Please o, where and how were you able to renew your passport with 8 months remaining to expiry? Mine has 11months to go,
and Ikoyi refused to renew mine that it must be at most 6 months to expiry before they can renew it.

You welcome. I tend to call for verifications than emails that’s why I advised anyway. It is more better because you might send email and wait for days and still not get tangible response

As long as he meets the requirement of the alien office, he can issue a sponsorship letter.
As for SL being valid, it's still stated on the embassy's website as a valid proof of sustenance. Yeah?
If your answer is yes, then that solves it.

Berliner1:

SL cant go outdated but the embassy can use discretion and increase the refusal rate for applicant with SL.

That's the situation in cameroun presently.

Few years back 95% of applicant are with BA.

Presently people do interview with BA, after few weeks come back with another story for SL usage....now they are seeing the trends that the story is plain ruse....

That's why they are changing it....interview with SL then no P. But interview with BA and switching to SL...very soon it will be outdated..am not here to ass lick or scare anyone..just pointing out the obvious fact.
Since you and I do not work at the embassy, what you should have simply advised is that applicants should endeavour to go with the SL during their visa interview.
In my opinion stating outrightly that SL is becoming increasingly an invalid proof (outdated) of sustenance is raising a false alarm that will do most of the applicants no good.
You could give a warning citing the aforementioned cases instead of saying that it'll soon be outdated, knowing fully well that many went through a lot of stress in getting the said document.

Well, I will write it over and over. NIPOST has improved. Come and beat me.

Few of us used nipost and our documents got there within 10-12days (as i was told)

To those yet to use NIPOST, please send your documents as early as possible. (don't expect it to reach the destination as informed by the receptionist anyways.. Just bear in mind that it's not DHL or FedEx.

He never misled anyone. I used NIPOST to send my docs to uniassist and Bonn rein seg. It took exactly 12 days. Its best to use unregistered mail and If you are in Lagos, go directly to their head office at Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja.

Very good transcript #CongratsInAdvance
victree007:
Hello House,
I had my interview this morning 06/07/2018 in Lagos and thought it wise to share my transcript. The interview lasted less than 15 minutes. The multitude that came for interview today sha. It didn’t get to my turn until 9:20AM
So here is how it all went;

VO: Have you funded?
ME: Not exactly. I haven’t exactly decided whether or not I will use a BA or SL as my uncle is currently processing an SL in Munich for me. So the outcome will determine if I’ll be using a BA or SL

VO: Okay. Please read the information on this form and sign
NB: It was a form containing blocked account confirmation details…

So I read and signed the form then passed it over to her.

VO: Why do you want to study in Germany?
ME: I want to study in Germany because the country has some of the world's top universities for geosciences, which are ranked based on their reputation and research in the field. Also, the educational system is high-class and combines theoretical teaching and practical training with the goal of ensuring a lasting/perpetual innovation. The caliber of scientists and geologists that the country has produced over time is a testament to the quality of education currently being offered in Germany. This is why I want to study there.

VO: Masters or Bachelors
ME: Masters

VO: What is the name of the course?
ME: Masters in Sustainable Mining and Remediation Management

VO: What is the title of your BSc thesis?
ME: Hydrogeological Study of Ekiadolor and Environs. I quickly asked if I should spell “Ekiadolor” for her and she said yes. After typing, I asked her to please repeat the spelling of the same (E-K-I-A-D-O-L-O-R) to be sure it was well spelt and she did.

VO: Why do you want to study this particular course?
ME: The Sustainable Mining and Remediation Management programme is a critical aspect of Geology in which I want to carry out a geoscientific and an environmental research. This area of investigation is a build-up on my undergraduate thesis in Hydrogeology and it will give me the opportunity to conduct a research on the geochemistry of acid mine drainage and its impact on water and earth resources particularly around mining exploration communities. The skills and knowledge to be gained from this programme will readily make me become a better environmental hydrogeologist.

VO: Why not study this course in Nigeria?
ME: The level of infrastructure and the quality of education offered in my home country cannot be compared to that in Germany especially when you consider some of the modules and internships involved in the programme and the fact that a teaching experimental mine is at the disposal of whoever studies this programme at TU Freiberg. Also, the unpredictable nature of education in Nigeria does not guarantee the completion of this kind of programme in record time.

VO: Why not study this course in US, UK and other English speaking countries
ME: A key motivation for me is the level of flexibility of university programmes to meet the research needs of students as well as the affordable nature of education in Germany.
NB: Me and VO go back and forth about this question before we finally agree for this response sha o
If she asks any question that doesn’t carry Germany in it, she will ask you not to mention anything about Germany in your response as well. I no know how to explain the thing pass like this.

VO: What do you know about Germany?
As we reach this question, for my mind I say we die here

ME: Germany is located in the central-western part of Europe
Its capital and largest city is Berlin
Germany has a largely temperate seasonal climate with population of about 82,8 million people
Germany is the most populous member state of the European Union and the second most populous after Russia in Europe
Germany is one of the world’s largest technologically advanced economies and It is both the world's third-largest exporter and importer of goods
Being an eco-friendly nation, Germany is currently researching about ways to transition from mainstream energy sources to renewable energy such as solar and wind energy.
Then she cuts in and asked me to wait for her to type…

ME: Can I continue the story telling?

VO: Yes please go ahead

ME: Okay. Germany operates a federal, parliamentary and democratic/representative system of government where Frank-Walter Steinmeier is the president and head of state while Angela Merkel is the chancellor and head of government in Germany.
During the period of Allied occupation, two German states were founded: West Germany, formed from the American, British and French occupation zones which formed the federal republic of Germany and East Germany, formed from the Soviet occupation zone.
Which also formed German democratic republic
On October 3, 1990, the unification of…..

VO: It’s okay It’s okay It’s okay. You want to fill up my computer with what you know about Germany, I can already see you know a lot about Germany.
For my mind I come dey say aunty na you say make I fire down like caro nao.

Eventually we both laughed to her “You want to fill up my computer” comment and then she told me that’s all, we are through with the interview.

ME: Can I ask you a question please?

VO: The interview has ended nao what else do you want again?

ME: That form you asked me to read and sign which contains the blocked account confirmation details, does signing it invalidate provision of sponsorship letter?

VO: No it does not. You can forward us either your blocked account confirmation or the sponsorship letter. Anyone is fine.

ME: Thank you for satisfying my curiosity. Have a nice day
NB: VO didn’t even ask any information regarding the sponsor I mentioned I have in Munich

I made sure I asked that last question because a lot of people have been coming here to say once you sign that form you can no longer use SL in place of BA. I doubt if any of such people ever asked their respective VOs this same question before arriving at that conclusion.
Well there you have it from the horse’s mouth – Signing that BA confirmation form does not invalidate SL in anyway. VO’s word, not mine.

am not sure a priest can issue SL except he has another job that pays him so let him go to the alien office to verify first if he can before you proceed

Hallo Leute,

Let's understand that the way Nipost works for one might not be same as for other person. Neither do you expect the TAT for LAGOS to be same as Enugu's.

People who use Nipost should be those who have at least a month to deadline. I always used Nipost and it always got to my destination. usually 13-18 days. So permit me to say NIPOST is bae.

But if you don't have time, got the money and want it delivered asap, Ngwanu by all means use DHL. It's why you always asked to plan early.

As a form of advise, if you are still sending to Germany for admission, lemme be blunt by saying you just wasting money, especially when using DHL. Instead use the resources and time to plan for Summer and Winter. Except of course you applying to schools that can give you admit foe Summer now or probably defer.

All the best Leute

I doubt the fact that someone was misled. On this forum people even advised that people in Lagos should use international airport branch and many came back with positive testimonies. I used the one in Marina and it was delivered on time. Please let's read and understand well before we start insulting ourselves here

Guys, kindly help me answer this question
I'm aware of the fact that about 8,900 Euros has to be deposited in a blocked account.
For someone going for a Masters degree in which the duration is about 18 months - which is more than one year, do I have to 'block' another 8,900 Euros??
Kindly explain how this works
yes what it simply mean is that when you present a block account of. 8,900 Euros it will be spread out across the 12 months and you'll be given a particular sum to be living on monthly basis. Then if the one year elapses you'll need to present another block account of that same amount for the second year..that's the way it works
Not there though but was told by my elder bro studying there
