KingDTee:With due respect, I implore you to please stop using those vulgar language on anyone on this forum. Yes, you may have been annoyed for one reason or the other, but it doesn't warrant such language please. We are all here for a common purpose irrespective of our ideas. @mendes911 and others on this forum, Once again, I appreciate you all but please this is NSEMPA, let us stop discouraging others from posting ideas on this forum, we have lost so many people on this forum because of that attitude. if anyone has a contrary opinion, there are ways you respond diplomatically to it, think of the time/energy that the person used in the research before he/she comes up with the stock pick. Good luck. |

yom2:http://www.businessdayonline.com/exclusives/article/mtn-nigeria-ipo-begin-august-secs-go-ahead/ MTN Nigeria has around 402 million shares in issue, the same amount in preference shares, which it sold at $0.99 in 2007. As part of the IPO it would split one share into 50 units, to create 20 billion shares, which would be listed on the bourse and set the IPO price via book building, according to a Pre- IPO presentation. For full year 2017, MTN Nigeria subscriber’s base was 52.3 million, its revenue increased by 11.4percent and data revenue increased by 86.6percent. |

currentprice:I don't know why our foreign reserve is no longer growing. it has stagnated at 47b for d past 2months. unlike before emefiele use to announce significant increase every 2weeks.or are they siphoning election money first? |

stcool:Although reports about this IPO have been mostly speculative and unconfirmed. But I've heard they intend raising $500m from the IPO, and again I hear they'll be listing about 25% of the business. Should this numbers correspond, a $2bn cap would make MTN NG grossly undervalued. For me, if the offer implies a cap of $5bn or less, it'll make a great deal. It's no brainer to realize that this stock will be an FPI favourite, and will enjoy the same premium pricing as NESTLE and STANBIC. One of our many lessons in this trade is to realize that a rule may not always hold in every case, so "It's probably overpriced" may not be true of this IPO. Let's just keep an eye out for the implied fundamentals of the stock when the offer gets published. Market cap, PE, DY, and sorts. NESTLE, DANGCEM, STANBIC, which of these trade below their IPO prices? Not every stock is same, not all IPOs will be same. |

Because our currency is currently overvalued, as our petrol subsidy cost is becoming overbearing. They won't devalue the naira till after the election yom2: |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 11:34am On Jul 11, 2018 |
yom2:Amongst other reasons, The surge in reserves positions were partly due to eurobond issuances. There haven't been much of those recently (since May), rather, coupons on the ones issued have been due for payment. So the relatively less inflows and more outflows explains the stagnation to some extent. |

Agbalowomeri:Maybe it's too early to conclude. Would you really pass on an 18% DY on this stock? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by wanaj0: 11:40am On Jul 11, 2018 |
jideflash:I don't think the currency is over valued. We are however spending a lot of money importing petroleum products and subsidising the entire West Africa. We are now 'consuming' 65 Litres of PMS daily! Devaluation should not be on the table at all. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 11:54am On Jul 11, 2018 |
Agbalowomeri:Take a look at NESTLE and STANBIC, 5-8% should be more like it. The 18% was hypothetical. |

yom2:The reserves are not growing because Nnpc is still secretly subsidizing pms. The recent FAAC emergency meetings shows this. Despite the rise in price of crude, revenue from nnpc didnt grow, salaries cant be paid conveniently. Despite the rise , pms has still managed to remain at 145. Our reserves are being used to manage the situation. They havent increased pump price because of elections. |
