It takes will power to stop smoking. Get a stop date and build your mind to stop. Do all u can to overcome the withdrawal symptoms. After 7 days you are good

Only God can stop you from that habbit , i was once a smoker until God directed to be eating of weed so i would be smelling like rat upadawn

Earthbound:
I smoked my first stick of cigarette precisely in SS2 in 2007. Since then, I have tried to quit more times than I can count. Even though I know the health hazards attached, I do it anyway. I tried electric cigarettes but still went back to the conventional tobacco sticks. There are times where I smoked probably more than a pack a day, and there were other times where I rarely smoked a month. I just want to drop this habit permanently.

How can this be achieved?

Stop being weak.

Just stop smoking. Done.

people have this misconception that you can’t be addicted to weed. But its real. If you have a dependency on anything, it’s an addiction. Weed addiction is probably worse because it messes you up mentally, cigarettes is more physical.

settle your fears, it all starts from the mind, make it a resolution in your mind speaking to yourself " I am more greater than cigarettes, you can't have dominion over me"...this is because it's an addiction, and your body is driving it's desires to it, so curtail that desire, just imagining tieing it with a rope. At times the desire could come again when you smell it from your surroundings/environment,or the kinds of things you watch on television, in this period you need to look away from such things that'll affect this training of the body and the mind towards cigarettes. In the first week, or even a month, your body and mind could be uncomfortable, you could even be hearing voices to take one stick( don't listen that's the devil), this period your in a battle ground, your spirit and your body are fighting it to the last (do not make yourself loose). Then after about 3-4 months exactly, your body and your mind would have been humbled, you can now test your power by going to places they smoke, watching when people are smoking and see how you react, you'll notice there'll be a slight disinterest to it. And upon all this ask, pray, tell God and Jesus Christ to be with you in this battle period, he shall never forsake you, because without God you can do nothing.

Brother..... If you can stay clean for a week or a month then you can do it for a year. Just summon some courage and you will be amazed when you will realize that six months has gone by without you smoking.

Make a concrete efforts to reduce the number of sticks you smoke!!! If you have any friends who might influence you to smoke more avoid them! Gradually Gradually you can get there!
