Ignorance can make a monkey reject bag of money for basket of banana. The money doesn't know he can buy several basket of banana with the bag of money.

FYI, the Nigerian aviation industry have the highest number of privately onwed airlines in Africa. (Google is your friend) bro.

Outside the Ethiopia airline please mention the other local airlines in Ethiopia?

Let's compare the list please.

A typical Nigerian brain, you seem not to disappoint me.

His that the yardstick you use to justify an aviation industry is doing well by the number of privately owned airlines. Now how many of those privately owned airlines are of international standards.

None of them are ranked in the top ten, when Nigeria as the highest number of customers travelling abroad.

Let me burst your bobbles; Ethiopian airline is the best in the whole of Africa.

Private owned Nigerian airlines are still struggling, dude it's not a matter of numbers but how well. So stop ranting your IGNORANCE.

Do you really want us to start comparing industries between the two countries? I thought this was just about defence industries. Why are we seeing garment and shoe, plastic, etc. Am really sure you won't want to go there.

You guys where the one who diverted.

If you really want to start, well game on. The facts are there that these guys are doing well more than us in defence wise.

Dude it's a simple logic and common sense. Ethiopia's defense budget is always more than Nigeria and they are investing in the right places.

Years of military rule, corrupt leaders and still corrupt top brass is killing the armed forces.

Let's talk about private defence industry between both nationa in context.

How many private defense companies do we have in Nigeria and let's compare with Ethiopia

How many of them did you export, you can't even produce for your growing population.

Nigerian just started doing well in the area of rice production. Few years back will still import rice, vegetable oil etc.

The cocoa you are mentioning was Nigerians backbone and coffee, palm oil etc before the advent of black oil. Dude you are talking of the past glory go check your facts right.

The cocoa house in Ibadan, oyo state was built by cocoa money.

The present government it's trying it's best reviving agricultural sector i:e; Ede Cocoa Processing Plant, Osun State is the only attracting cocoa factory for Nigeria’s remaining five cocoa processing factories to tap export demand for butter, cake and powder. Ede Cocoa Processing Plant has no debt burden and it is now producing Nigeria’s cocoa cake, powder, chocolate and butter. This makes it easy for Nigeria’s processed cocoa to compete favourably. Ede Cocoa plant remains one of the fastest selling and most desirable agricultural commodities in the international market due to the rapid growth and expansion of chocolate confectioneries and other products.

Cashew nuts & ground nut are also been exported but not as in the 60s, 70s & early 80s.

The same Google you don't know to use well to get yourselves informed. Don't come here and start displaying your ignorance

Calm your nerves down and stop ranting.

I didn't ask you to complain. I just wanted you to know Nigeria is the largest producer of many agricultural produce.

I wanted to educate you on simple thing you should have known.

Nigeria's population is currently estimated at 192 million with a land area of just 923,768km2 and Ethiopia with population of 102 million and land area of 1,104,300km2.

Is the difference in population enough to tell you why we can't export? The market for those goods is right here in Nigeria.

You better post on topic before you foolishly embarrass yourself.

Pointless claims.

Those Ethiopia rag tag army are one of the best in Africa you know.
sad

Lol! Even more claims. Oh so now Nigeria is even ridiculed for kitting her soldiers better than Ethiopia'. If we don't you complain, we do you complain, haba! Nigerians! I can't help you Bidexiii! If you can compare a rag-tag army to that of Nigeria then you've lost it.

The Ethiopian army we know throws men into combat without the minimum of body armour etc. Feeding and morale is low and yet you come to rant weaponry they produce. A fit soldier is more likely to come out first from the bush than a hungry one—I'll leave it there.

This Ethiopia with all of Bidexiii's superlatives in modern times struggled with the nation state of Somalia, could not defeat Somalia's Islamic courts now Alshabaab, could not defeat repressive Eritrea, has not been able to contain all the numerous rebellions within it's own territory and has now all but capitulated with it's new Prime Minister who knows Ethiopia lacks the capacity to win these wars. Yet here is and am ashamed to say a Nigerian officer telling us they are one of the best because that perception persists from it's wars with fascist Italy. Oh gosh! Who can help him!

Meanwhile Nigeria with all it's corruption and evils he shouts for all to hear has contained it's internal rebellions and defeated most from Biafra to Adaka Boro's successors to Boko Haram to external conflicts in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Gambia and the list goes on and on. In all these situations Abuja's monopoly of violence has ensured the status quo exists on it's own terms. It even annexed the Bakassi peninsula for a time and left on it's terms. If that's not a real Power I don't know what is.

Again, even today Ethiopia is a second rate power compared to Nigeria. Period.

Dude you love arguing out of context.

Can't you read and digest simple English, kitting your soldiers with fancy gears does not make you win wars or battles.

Saudi Arabia is a very good example of been kitted and better equipped, yet there butts are been kicked in Yemen. They leave behind millions of dollars worth of hardwares & equipment behind and run for there dear lives grin grin

The NA is a very experience army and also doing well in the area of COIN, and as dealt well with many internal conflicts despite many shot comings. Am not arguing that and I never under rated the NA.

My Point was clear you can't compare the NA with EA, likewise the private/government owned defense industry. Those are my claims even till now.

Now talking about the Ethiopia and Eritrea conflict; I don't know where you got your source from; they are all false ! According to a ruling by an international commission in The Hague, Eritrea broke international law and triggered the war by invading Ethiopia. At the end of the war, Ethiopia held all of the disputed territory and had advanced into Eritrea kicking there button like we did to the Chadian.

Dude are you formulating lies to back up your claims, everyone is not a dummy like you are undecided

On the Alshabab conflicts;

If I was the president of Ethopia I would do the same , call me names or say anything. I wouldn't give a Bleep, what's in the fight for Ethopia when Alshabab is not occupying any territory in there land.

So the president withdraw all troops; do you know what resources and capital it takes to fight a war outside your border It's was bleeding Them dry.

The Ethiopian army where very instrumental in pushing alshabab out of some major towns in Somalia, when they started withdrawing over 4000 of there troops from those towns immediately Alshabab began taking over those towns again.

They recast there dice and they saw the war was never got to end. Simple as ABC.

Go check your facts Ethopia as a history of been Victor's in war, even against the white like wise Nigeria has its own.

Yes population with respect to available land for agricultural purpose. If you guys were wise enough you would have figured why I put the land area in km2 for the two countries under review.

China is 9,596,961 km2 (10x bigger than Nigeria ) and USA is 9,833,520 km2 (also 10x bigger than Nigeria) and they both use modern technology throughout the agriculture value chain.

The country we are comparing are Nigeria and Ethiopia not any first world country.

The population of Nigeria is growing and the available land for farming is shrinking by the day. Land is used for many purposes not farming alone and gradually becoming a scarce resource.

Keep giving excuses and shifting from one argument to another. I see no reason why I should export raw food when I can add value and still sell it locally.

I've already prove Nigeria produce more agricultural produce than Ethiopia.

I've proved why Nigeria can export agric output.

I've proved why land as a resource is also becoming scarce.

Now you're telling is only 16% of arable land is available in Ethiopia.

And you Dont think Nigerian Dont use those arable land for other purposes because of pressure from the large population.
