AVENSIS...is way better off than Corolla in almost all ramification

Do not compare the two. it is like comparing a Leopard to a cat! Both are cats but do not compare. Both Avensis and Corolla are Toyota but Avensis is far better than Corolla model to model! I have both experience. Fuel economy wise, pick Corolla. Strength, size, durabilty, speed wise, choose Avensis.

No Sir. Toyota stopped the production of Carina and it's linage officially continued as Avensis in Korea Japan in 1999 after the 3rd model of Carina known as Carina3 was created which sold loudly during it's time. The body builts of Carina3 and Avensis 1999 are similar in linings and curves. Toyota brands which ends with the suffix "SIS" are built in Korea Japan. So Corona is on a direct class with Corolla and they both shear the same engine and almost the same body style. PLEASE NOTE THAT AVENSIS HAS NEVER BEEN KNOWN AS CORONA.

Avensis is actually a strong ,solid car. Maybe your mechanic hav shown you so much pepper to have that mind set. It might be slightly more expensive than corolla because its an european nameplate. You will not find in most American or canadian car auction sites

I have used the 2000 model avensis for 3years and my younger one is still using same car for like four years now. I have enjoyed every moment i used that car. I only have to change it to avensis verso to accomodate family.

nah, the hype on corolla is not in power, aggression, speed, handling and the rest....... it's in reliability, availability of spare parts which translates to fair pricing ( I intentionally left our cheap), availability of technical know-how around the globe, fuel economy and lastly but not the least....... second hand value (both relaxed sale and forced sale).

people that drive the corolla know what they are driving and why.... that's y even pipedreams with his powerful and senior infinity still needs a corolla....

The arguement was which is better between Corolla and Avensis. Someone said Avensis is better than Camry. I replied that Camry is the highest grade of 4 seat Sedan for Toyota.

Please note that Lexus is a higher grade (luxurious) to even Camry and is made by Toyota but it is in a different class.

l see more of Corolla on the road than Avensis.

I am presently using a Honda evil spirit 2008 model v6, I want to sell it off and buy another car.the car is sleek but it is not maintenance or fuel economy friendly. I have two choice in mind Toyota corolla 2004 and avensis 2006. Which one is more maintenance and fuel economic friendly? Ur advice will go long way.
