Good morning house ,
My wife and I are planning to visit America on family visa.
My wife passport still carry her maiden name and yet to expire cause she did it while she was single.
Meanwhile she has applied for u.s once but was denied two years ago.
We now have a baby of 14months old.
Question :
Can we still apply with maiden name passport?
Should we use our cousin there as invite or lounge in an hotel since is just an holiday.

I could try to give my opinion. But u feel if you formed it yasef e go make more sense to you.
Read up on what constitutes ties....
Then pick all those questions the VO asked you and weigh your ties and the lack of on each side....
You may understand then why she refused you...

I still use my maiden name both my husband and kids have same surname except me grin it doesn't matter so long as u have documents proving ur man and wife! My hub(Virgin passport) &kids were granted visas Cuz I mentioned I had kids during my interview...!! Fill hotel but say u know person there too since you know

Good afternoon everyone,
I'd applied to renew my last B1/B2 visa which expired under 12months ago.I'd travelled on the expired visa for a conference back then in Miami&I didn't overstay, neither was I in breach of any immigration regulations.I thought I'd take advantage of the courtesy by U.S INA and renew via the Dropbox, however after about 15 working days since submission I received an email inviting for a follow up interview&stating a denial under section 221g with an attachment form with instructions on what steps to take.On the attached form were boxes listing certain requirements of which the only requirement that was ticked is the request to attend an interview. Also bearing in mind that the tracker still shows Administrative Processing online, and the conference I intend to attend will hold between 28th&30th of August.
Here goes my questions
1.How do I know what documents to attend the interview with as I'm unsure of what information must be provided?Employment contract, bank statements etc?If these documents are rarely examined and it's not been specified which to come with, what then do I go with?
2.Should I decide to schedule an appointment to still be able to attend the conference at the end of August, may I request for an expedited interview(which was what I got for my first visa)?
3.If my request for expedited interview isn't approved, may I still attend the interview to apply for a visa to visit the U.S for leisure other than the initial conference which would have already taken place by that time?
4.Am I required to pay another application fee?
5.Is there any other thing that applies to this situation that may be helpful to know about?since I can't even understand why it wasn't even approved in the first place.

NB:If this appears on another forum,I'm only trying to get the appropriate thread to get prompt answers to my questions as I've been searching all day and can't find the exact one.
Thanks in anticipation of some good feedback.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by puffmama: 8:22pm On Jul 27, 2018
1. I would advise you to go with all the documents you would have taken as if you were going for your first interview including your bank statement and anything to show you attended the conference the first time, if you were issued a certificate of participation, go with it. iwas asked if i had my bank statement with me when i went for my interview after i got the 221g letter, fortunately, i had it with me and the consularofficer checked it. i was not even asked for any documents at all at my very first visa interview and it was issued .

2. You may but the last time i attempted to do that i was not succesful as my purpose of visit then didnt qualify for an expedite interview, if it were for medical reasons or school resumption, it may have been approved, but you may wish to try, nothing wrong in that.

3. Yes you can, you may wish to fill another form, just ensure the number is same as the one on the appointment slip. if its a different number, go with the two to be on the safe side.

4. You are not required, your visa fees is valid for one year from the date your 221G letter was issued.

5. sometimes some people are randomly picked but i have noticed of late that a lot of people that did drop box especially those that spent longer than 3 weeks to a month were called for an interview to explain their purpose of their visit and evidence of payment of bills especially for those that went for child birth.

i wish you the best

FORMAT

If a friend is inviting me, the better, as long as he entered the US legally and is "clean" too.

I see this quite often. What exactly does it mean?

. . . I know for sure the USA doea not share water or land borders with Nigeria.

Most Nigerians "enter" the US legally (only very very few travel directly to Mexico then illegally cross the borders ) but their refusal to leave or abide by the terms of their visa automatically coronate them with the title "illegal immigrants".

Is that what you meant?

So you seriously cannot afford $70-100 to ship a document to Nigeria, and you think a total stranger will be your best bet? No pun intended.

It depends . If you have a history of travelling and abiding by the visa rules of the country you’re travelling to the VO will most likely ignore the fact that you’re unemployed.

Aburo,
"Entered legally but staying illegally and entered illegally and staying of course illegally" in the eyes of USCIS and many other things you can and cannot do with or without a stamped visa are two very different things

My bad! Sorry, that you have written now is about what I actually want to put across. Scarcely will one enter the US illegally....

"Illegal Immigrant" is what I mean, the one that entered most likely legally (could also be illegally in rare cases though) and somehow has been able to regularize his stay albeit mostly associated with the negation of the terms and conditions attached to the visa with which he/she entered the US legally. That person can be "bad market" to your visa pursuit when you allow him/her invite you or be your contact person in the US.

Hi
Like the VO always emphasize, the visa isn't a game of chance, there are requirements you may have to meet to qualify.Based on my experience, you'll have to honestly demonstrate how you're able to finance your trip since you currently do not have a job. Also whoever is sponsoring the trip must demonstrate how it makes sense to send you on a short visit in an expensive country so.Furthermore what are your ties here in Nigeria that will ensure that you come back to Nigeria after your short visit in the U.S.Just be honest and open and be ready to defend whatever is in your application

Hello guys, a friend of mine got his Canadian citizenship revoked and is planning to visit usa. I want to ask if there's a possibility for him to get Visa. He had been to the United states many times before the revocation. My questions are:, is he going to tell them he has been to usa before and also where they asked have you hold or held citizenship of another country besides Nigeria? Please I want the gurus in the house to assist me with possible answers.
