From my understanding of the bible the Roman catholic church had a big role to play from the council of nicea to that of Trent and also the compilation of these books that are in the bible.
I am not an atheist,I rather identify with agnostic theism and I am liberal.
I used to read the bible back then and even as a Christian I never forced my beliefs down the throats of others,I move with everyone my free spirit agrees with.
The book did not make sense in some ways then I took my time and started asking questions.
I would not tell you to doubt your faith if your God is working for you believe him and let the God's of other religions work for others.
you see, people rejects Christianity when in reality it is "churchinity " they reject .Jesus himself denounce this when He confronted the teachers of the law.

your decision about religion may be serious as a starving person who Decide wither to eat mushrooms or not. and if you stay for a week without eating something, indecision will be the worst decision you have ever taking.

Bible long told us before science proved it right that "the earth was void and empty and darkness was upon the surface of the deep(water) ... And hanging upon nothing.. " it means water filled up the earth before God command light to be and waters be separated above and below the earth. That's why water account for 75% etc. Science have confirmed biblical sayings in so many ways...

Go out this evening and look up at the skies. The brightest object you'll see is the planet Venus. But the bible consistently called it the morning STAR and the evening STAR. Your all knowing bible couldn't know the difference between a star and a planet.

The Bible described the tail of Halley's comet as a 'flaming sword'. Thanks to telescopes. We now know the comet's ice melts as it approaches the sun and boiling water reflecting the sun's rays, and pouring away from the comet, looks like a sword.

Ancient people actually experienced most phenomena of the universe. They described them according to their understanding at that time. If any God dictated the Bible and the Koran, surely it would have given even more descriptions than science does today.

As a bonus, I'll like to mention that Moses's burning bush is not an isolated occurance. It still happens and it is known as Elmo's fire.

You see, some of us have read the bible and other holy books and made the comparison. The Bible has served it's purposes. It's time we dropped it and get on with the prevalent realities.

Advise them to leave non believers alone,I actually mind my business when it comes to religion and this is the first thread on religion I have commented on since I joined this forum using this Monicker.

The Holy Spirit gave me the Word, I did not hoard it, I put it out there as I am required to do.

I want to shed some light on this verse and how decoding its meaning can help us to effectively triangulate the time that Jesus will return.

In the book of Genesis, God said he gave the lights in the firmament for SIGNS, SEASONS, DAYS, and YEARS.

Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

I keep saying it that the tribulation has ended but not many people believe me, majority of us are looking for a future tribulation. All the troubles that the Blackman has faced, is the tribulations. Slavery, discrimination, Racism, dirt poor countries as a result of low mental capacity, etc., are all part of the tribulation.

You can also read this thread to get more background knowledge on the spiritual importance of nation-specific eclipses to world ruling empires.

When such mutual and exclusive eclipses happen in a nation that is the world's ruling empire, it means it is time for that empire to wind up.

Stars falling heaven, and the shaking of heavens, are used to describe the fall of the empire.

As we continue, let us keep in mind that the prophecies are not laid out in a chronological or sequential manner, but all the same its layout is systematic.

The sign of the son of man appeared in heaven on the 13th of November 2017. I made this thread to explain it.

The Anglo-American world power is the heaven of this world that we are in, heaven is the code-name for the leading ruling nation of the world in the particular epoch/time period in question.

There are two sides to Mathew 24:30
1. the appearance of the sign son of man in heaven ( The Star of Bethlehem over Anglo-America)
2. the mourning of the whole earth when they see him coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

This is why I said the prophecies are not laid out chronologically or sequentially, rather they are laid out systematically. The sign of the son of man was seen in heaven (leading ruling nations of the world) but part 2 of the prophecy has not happened.
