I have a friend that got MSc admission with 3.03 GPA (German Scale)
The key thing is to prepare your application way ahead of time and apply the moment the schools open their portals.
Apply to about 15 schools if possible to increase your chances.
Make sure your motivation letter is detailed, error free and should be written in line with each of the schools' objectives you are applying to.
Your most important strength will be work experience if you have any. Emphasize on it on your CV and motivation letter.
I'll advise you to apply for more MSc courses as well
There is no way you will not be successful.
Goodluck
Good to know, love this bro

You could not have expressed my mind any better...
My friend also got with 3.0. Don't know if we are referring to same person, or if the poster is Victor.
In addition to the tips given, pls get yourself TOEFL or IELTS, it will also give your application a boost.

All the best

Thank you bro for the encouragement

Please I need the contact no of that hotel and how to get to the place from obalende motor park.

I'm not a girl, and I'm not a fine girl grin grin, so I will like to save some bucks.

Based on the description the guy gave about the hotel, it should be: Take a bike from obalende or CMS to St Nicholas, alight and ask after Campbell street or Lion Building, the hotel is beside the Lion Building (Lion building is a police station). If not mistaken, the color is blue.

I guess all motivation letter irrespective of where you do your interview should be adressed to the consular general because on the embassy website it is stated that the consular general is responsible for visa applications for all Nigerian States.

Many thanks!

Maybe it skipped my notice, but i'm yet to see someone who was accepted by FAU. Rejections left, right and center, many don't even make it pass the submission of certified docs stage

I think FAU has issues with Nigerian applicants. I don't think anyone here has gotten admission with that school.

They just reject people with flimsy excuses. My own refusal is still paining me till today. they said my certification wasn't properly done. I used DHL to send another one from the embassy and still they stood on their initial decision.

All i need is Goethe Institute A2 - C1 cert. I have A1 already. I got that from goethe institute in GH. I want to finish it up here in Nigeria. Please, which other location do u know apart from the one at CMS??

The certificate is only issued in Goethe meaning you have to attend the classes in Goethe before you can be issued a certificate.
also please note that Goethe Lagos located at CMS will be closed through out august Nd will resume by September and that's when registration will commence. Also if you don't register within the dates stipulated on their website, you'd have to wait till next year. the earlier you register, the earlier your journey begins as you require 12 months to round up a2-c1.

Thank you very much,
using the calculation method I found here, my German GPA was 2.0 and 2"1 Naija scale.
As regards the uni-assist thing, I would put that at the back of my mind. Thanks all the same sir

is mission statement the same as motivation letter?
OK. This is good. And I believe you won't need to waste money applying to so many schools. But you must be very strategic. Know your strengths and weaknesses with the courses and your transcript. For example, one can't apply for highly programming inclined course when one had E or D in one's undergraduate programming courses and no other experiences to justify why one should be selected. I believe you understand.

Also, If you want to work in Germany, don't choose a course that will spoil your hustle over there. Which means you need to look into the course contents. All these should be looked into holistically before you choose your courses. So consider this and what I and other respected people here have said earlier and make a good decision.

Mission statement, motivation letter, cover letter etc all serve the same purpose in an admission process.

Good luck brethren!

Never feel Disappointed about rejection, some of us here too has been rejected once. I was rejected last year but I buckled up and tried another school the next year. Never feel disappointed If a school blocks you try others

I don't think FAU has issues with Nigerians. This issue is also related to the Issue of Unilag here in Naija, they reject people a lot so dey tagged them wicked. No matter what some Nigerians will be admitted into FAU. We have seen a lot of people admitted to JENA this Winter admission.

I will suggest we study whatever University we are applying to, so we won't make mistake while applying and also learn from previous applicant

Hi guys, I had my interview on the 11th of this month @ the German embassy in Abuja for student visa, and it was as cool as anyone could have wanted it to be, less or no tension like it isn't in Lagos
That day after the interview, I wasn't given back my passport, the lady said I am gonna leave it with them.
Anyways till now I haven't received any reply from them and it's almost 3weeks now, Pls any ideas how long it's takes?

When the embassy issues you a visa, I think the next thing would be to get a travel insurance or if you have one already from Germany as part of your enrollment requirements, then book your flight... I think that is it.. except if there is something new.

That's not true dear. You can attend the classes elsewhere, register for the exam at Goethe and get the certificate there.
