I called the phone number of "The Childrens Practice and the Consultants Practice", in Ikoyi to book an appointment for next week Monday 6th of August (The next available date) for my medicals but the lady I spoke to advice that I wait for CIC to send me the request if not I am going to delay myself because the people who went that route are having issues. When I tried digging further she did not give more details about it. For me I have agreed to wait for one week before contacting them.

Thanks...Still no clarity whether we can send Medical report after submitting online? .Although I know some people have done it here and their profiles have been updated consequently.

With Fall session fast approaching and time being an important element, would you advise I go ahead and send my medical report?
Thanks

Did all online applicants experience this biometrics change from “completed” to “we do not need your fingerprints?” Who filed online and gave biometrics, but did not experience such a change? If all who filed online and gave biometrics experienced this change, then your theory might hold some water. But if it is an occurrence among June applicant majorly only, I think it shows nothing but progress—that applications are moving towards their target point.

Any update on your Application?

No major update. The only change I noticed just now was a new section was added under the aplicant information which was the details of biometrics. I applied via paper route and did biometrics same day.

I think the latest update on biometrics has put to rest the issue of an applicant that was charged CAD150 during reapplication. I think all biometrics collected thus far within the last couple of months is now valid for 10 years

But this new change only started today and does not apply to him. Has he done the biometrics without CIC requesting the outstanding balance? I would be surprised if they allowed him to be fingerprinted without getting their money. Prior to today, everytime you apply you have to pay and be fingerprinted again every time you apply.

I also suspect that awaiting this change & update on the new biometric rule may also be part of the reason our application seems to be taking long for June online applicants.

Hello House,

LONG POST

@Jnyuwa02 @Mcobex @Frankrobbn1 and other house mates.....

Please find attached, a change in my profile.
Let me just break it down here for easy understanding after which i have questions to ask.
I just checked my account now and saw that "We do not need ur fingerprints" under the biometrics. And i have not done any biometrics for my re-application yet cos I just re-applied on the 28th of July. Buh meanwhile, I last applied on the 13th of September 2017 which was refused, and that is the date showing at the date of Biometrics Enrollment(as seen in the photo). Now my questions.
1. As stated earlier, I said I re-applied on the 28th of this month and I was debited 285CAD, which I think should not be, since they already have a record of my bio-metrics. So is there a way to let them know about this so I can be refunded for just the biometrics or something?
2. I have already booked an appointment for my biometrics for tommorow(I had already booked before going to my profile to see these changes), should I still go and do another biometrics or I should just ignore since my profile is saying they do not need my finger prints. Please I will really appreciate answers cos I do not knw what to do now.

If you applied before July 31st, you need to pay for biometrics and redo even if you applied before. Proceed with your biometrics please. Your profile is reading correctly as expected for someone who just applied and yet to take biometrics. Payment of $285 you made was correctly charged I beleive.

I think you should send them an email with "urgent" on the subject. I will not be suprised if you get there tomorrow and you are told you do not need another biometrics. IMO I think the new policy has to do with "when you want to do the new biometrics"
And not "when you applied for a new biometrics" which in your case it is now August 1st and not pre-July 31st! They even show the expiration of your 1st biometric (2027) that is convincing.

You do not need to give your biometrics again till 2027 as stated clearly on your profile. To clear your doubt you can still proceed to the biometrics collection center, I believe they will tell you the same.

You need to give biometrics every ten years starting only today. I don’t beleive this is applicable retrogressively. Those who applied prior to July 31st, I beleive continue to be under the old rule, except they are filing new application after July 31st, then they do not need to be fingerprinted again. I guess someone going in tommorrow who applied prior to the date, would keep us posted whether they took his biometrics or not.

But if you file paperoute, biometrics from day one always reads “we do not need your fingerprints.” It will follow then that those who filed paperoute profile would not necessarily be reflecting this change today. Am I getting anything wrong here? As far as I know, paperoute applicant did not see the change today as their profile already reading we do not need your fingerprints from day one. Only change is in the ten year gap period specified on all applications active and closed.
