Attempted 3 IELTS, 1 Toefl, 3 PTE in Australia - April to Dec 2017. I could not get band 7 in all these, got very fustrated and travelled to dubai in Jan 2018 to write PTE, paid for two tests and was finally able to get band 8. Bear in mind, this was my major delay.

Hello everyone,
Please, I dey beg una. Has anyone had an issue on a wrong date of birth printed on their degree transcript? I will need help on how they were able to resolve this please so I can quickly resolve mine.

First was to provide more evidence on experience (tax, payslips for all duration worked and explain other things). All these were done.
now, on the second contact, it is on the discrepancy of date of birth on the transcript and my international passport. Birth certificate and international passport has same date of birth but the transcript has a different one.

In particular, it is the University of Lagos. The school sent the transcript initially with wrong date of birth. When the school was contacted, they sent another one again (still incorrect) and admitted that the first one was wrongly typed and were sorry for the discrepancy (Yet still incorrect and different from the first). I just tire for our schools. Now ''my application can't be processed until the issue is resolved and that I should check my registration with my school and that the information on my passport and my credentials must be aligned.''

The same transcript was sent to WES canada and no issue was raised about anything apart from an omission of an alphabet on my other name on the degree certificate.

And unilag will not even give you a student copy so that you can even see the information typed in there, way ahead of anything. Na wa oh. Please i need urgent help to quickly sort this out. I hope to positively resolve this matter on time. Please assist.

Thank you.

Hi Experienced guyz.

Age = 34 point 25 Point
Degree = M.Sc (Computer Science)= 15 Point
Experience = Over 8 yrs = so Expecting 15 ( all Experience is on IT Support /officer Analyst/Support/Engineer)
English Test == Not yet Taken ==
with 10 in English, I should getting 65 points

So based on my experience, I can go for the following skill set

ICT Customer Support Officer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) TRA
preferred

ICT Support and Test Engineers nec (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS
ICT Support Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS
ICT Support Technicians nec ( 190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) TRA
ICT Systems Test Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS
Systems Administrator (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S) )ACS

now which of the skill should I use and can I apply for assessment without English test result? NONE, you need to have at least competent English test result

kindly advice. Thanks in anticipation.
I see you have done your homework .. that's nice

For you to claim that 15 experience point
it's subject to ACS approval and year of graduation. but for TRA you stand a better chance of getting the 15pts
how about your B.sc details??

Except you are applying today, 65 may only be good for TAS 489 and NSW far south 489,

If you can submit both for TRA and ACS assessment. ( the game is that tough now)

Also you can explore partner points https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/supporting/Pages/skilled/partner-skills-documents.aspx

In general, Aiming for 65 is not going to help you, Aim for Maximum point attainable by you ( am guessing a 75/ 80 based on the above)

Thanks for your responses. however, I have no intention of moving with my partner now(so that 5 point is out). but can I replace it with 5 point from regional/state nomination. What do u think?

As for claiming 15 point in Experience, I sure I will cos I finished since 2006 and I have been working ever since in IT support section and system administration. my B.Sc is also Computer Science.
I also want to ask if my certification exams(ITIL and MCSA) will added any point to to me?

Thanks for your swift response

Good evening.
While doing my Aussie research this evening, I stumbled on Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) job and realized it fits into my job more than a Customer Service Manager (CSM). The QAM job is being nominated by Tasmania and SA and assessed by VETASSESS.

I need assistance from anyone who has been assessed as a Quality Assurance Manager with VETASSESS or a link to anyone who has a positive assessment.

Is it possible to change occupation to CSM if one does not get a positive assessment on QAM from vetassess?

I also saw the below on Tasmania’s website. Does this mean I can’t select another territory (South Australia) on my EOI? Is there a way around it?

If you intend to apply for state nomination, Tasmania must be selected as your preferred location on the EOI. If you select ‘any’ or express interest in living in another state or territory will not meet the criteria to be considered for state nomination in Tasmania.

It will end in praise

TRA doesn't specifically ask for vendor certificates but it can act as supporting documents. You can get 10 extra pts from the 489 subclass or 5 points from the 190 subclass.

PS. TRA waiting period is a long wait. Around 90 days.

Hi all,
I'm new here but I've gained a whole lot from both threads. God bless all the contributors.

I have an issue I'm trying to figure out, so thought to bring it here. So I applied to vetassess for hotel manager, claiming two career timelines: 2011- 2014 (hotel admin assistant) and 2014-2018 (hotel manager). I received a positive outcome few weeks ago, however, my years of experience was slashed to 1.2 yrs. Now to my issue, I was going for visa class 190 for NSW, but sadly hotel manager was removed from the 190 list last week. The only viable option for me is Victoria, but I'm wondering if I'm qualified to get nomination from Victoria cos they have an additional requirement for "at least 5years experience". Now I'm wondering if the experience Victoria will consider is that of vetassess (1.2years) or my general years of experience which is 8yrs. Pls advise.

Thank you guys!
