Thanks dear. Welcome back.
Distinct777:
So I've been MIA since somewhere in the middle of pt 4.

First thing I checked when I logged onto this thread was pg 1 to see the names of people who got PPR in pt 4. In particular, I looked for @Newmum and @Ethiele's names. I sincerely and honestly rejoiced greatly when I saw their names. I'm so happy for you guys particularly as I have a fair idea of the long wait you went through.
Congratulations to all others as well. Ours will come soon in Jesus name.

I'm still waiting for Iqas to send my ECA. Also studying for Ielts as well. It will all end in praise by the end of this year!

You will pay for each certificate you want to evaluate but you pay less for upgrade. For 2 or more cert, you pay 275 for Bachelor/OND and 150 CAD for PGD/HND.

Thanks. I am considering going to WAEC to complete the process... Already initiated ICES too. Someone said, avoid being Penny wise, pound foolish. Canada is worth the expenses.

You've said it all, I like the courage, nothing can stop us. It will surely end in praise.

I am the primary applicant and I've even submitted the payslips just the way they were.

My POF is gift deed from both my hubby and mum which has no impact on my salary.

However, I am considering raising a CSE or just leave the application as it is.

What do you advise?

Are you the primary applicant? If yes, you can skip the payslip or do a letter to explain it but the former is preferable.[/quote]

Why not request GCMS, since you've submitted your application already. Based on the GCMS notes, you will know whether to raise CSE or not.

That's quite unusual. If your cards are activated for international purchases it should be able to make the payment on ACRO. I used a GT card and it worked well. I suggest you try a friend's or any other person's card

Thanks. I have actually tried another card but I still get the same error. Called my Uk bank and they said same thing naija banks told me. That the transaction wasn't reflecting on their end.

I'm hoping its just a network glitch. I have mailed ACRO and World Pay concerning this. I would give it another shot tommorow.

I think should raise a CSE of statement of account showing you have enough funds to cover the loan repayment and that it is not a problem for your settlement funds.

Something should prompt the CSE. What if the V.O is not bothered about that and the CSE called his/her attention to it. Let her order GCMS first.

Hello you should give someone you trust your card details either in the uk or usa to make the payment for you, or tell them to pay for you with their card and transfer the money back to them. My gt and nationwide cards gave the same errors till i tried the earlier.

Mapletins thanks for the suggestion. I would consider that option too. Did you recently apply for UK PCC? Just trying to figure if this "transaction declined" error is a recent issue.

I applied in June, think payment has now being blocked from Nigeria, not sure though. But who would want to scam the uk police.

I wonder why they would want to block payments from Nigeria. On a second thought it could be the payment platform "World pay" that has blocked any payments coming from a Nigerian IP.

Sigh!

Hello Guys,

Please I need some clarification from those who used treasury bill in their application. I have a treasury bill that will be due in first week of Dec, 2018. I requested my bank (Diamond Bank) to mention it in their reference letter but they said they cannot mention it because the money is not in their custody.

1. Please I want to know if just submitting the certificate without the bank mentioning it in the ref letter is enough

2. Is the December maturity date an issue or do I need to convince IRCC that I can pull out my funds anytime I want.

Please those who used T/Bills should assist me on this.

Thanks.

Okay. I hope there is no need for letter of epistle to IRCC? Besides, how about POF?

This is not a massive issue albeit it annoying. Payments get declined all the time for one reason or the other. People here complain about WES sometimes. It is not a Nigerian thing. Someone has advised you try a different card, try tomorrow or even use another browser.

Write an LOE explaining that it was actually an employment role. Raise a case specific enquiry (CSE) and upload your LOE. C'est finish.

It is neither here nor there but you need it for your peace of mind.

And please if somone scaled through doing this and got their ppr, please clarify this for some of us that are in this situation. And is there a way we can change this, if possible. Please

This kinda reminds me of the story of the hungry man who bought a donut to quench his hunger, after eating it, he was still hungry so he buys another ... and another. Finally the 4th time, he decides to buy buns and after eating this, he feels full. He then starts wondering why he didn't just buy buns the first time and save himself the money he wasted on 3 donuts.

I'm not discounting the fact that the paid version must have been a lot more helpful than the free version of Liz's tips. I'm just saying, give your spouse some credit, perhaps she learnt from the experience of the first four exams. It's possible she practiced harder, studied like crazy, stopped taking the writing module for granted, improved her handwriting and writing speed, learnt to meet up with word count, brushed up her spellings and punctuations, etc.

I'm sure the buns helped but don't forget the donuts

Use another bank card. I think GTB is blocking cards from international purchases unless you have previously notified them of such.

Include it and check the "not assessed' option
Add it when scanning educational documents too.

My rationale is, one does not go from jele osinmi to Msc.
I could be wrong, afterall we don't add primary leaving cert. I just told you what I would do in your shoes.

Firstly I never said it was a massive issue and secondly in my experience it's a Nigerian thing to constantly experience card payment issues.

You only reiterated everything I have done and plan to do. Thanks anyway.
