Bro I can tell that great leaders are men of the word. In ancient Greece and Rome, leaders were accessed by their word level. Pericles, Alcibiades, Alexander the great, Ceasar, Cicero etc were worded men. In fact in ancient times leaders were taught the art of speaking and it was called rhetorics. And it makes common sense because the first sign of intelligence is speech, as in the word. In recent history men like Lincoln, Pitt, Benjamin Franklin, Benjamin Disraeli, Churchill, the Roosevelts, Kennedy were all worded. Even Sarduana of sokoto was far more eloquent than this mutterer called Buhari.

Thirdly ,pdp needs to bring out a complete opposite of buhari in order to show Nigerians how different they are from APC ,there fore they need to bring out a much more younger candidate than buhari ,age and good health will also be good points to campaign on . Age isn't on atiku side any more

in 2003 ,atiku was actually the one ruling and calling all the shots within pdp, he had all pdp governors solidly behind him and they kept warning him that obj will betray him once he wins the second term , immediately after the elections , obj started cutting down atiku wings and removing his men , atiku was eventually forced to leave pdp. that was atiku greatest mistake politically and a mistake which can never be undone or remedied .if only atiku had listened to kalu and co then maybe he would have been refered to ex president atiku by now. this is one of the reasons why you will never see a die hard atiku man like or support obj . they know how treacherous obj is .

But politics shouldn't be a do or die. Atiku insisting on bieng PDP candidate n 2005 does not guaranty his winnng the main contest. Obasanjo as the incubent still had the joker he could have played on the PDP governor's supporting Atiku then. Maybe Atiku would have been politically voiceless by now. He who fights and runs away lives to fight another time. Atiku and the PDP govs then know they need Objs support to win the general elections hence their capitulation. Fate and destiny has a part to play in leadership aspiration no matter how well you play your game.

It seems like since both major parties have zoned their candidature to the north, it would be in the interest of the south for buhari to win coz i dont think any of the pdp candidates would just do 4 years and leave. they would want their 8 years...esp atiku that has been seeking the position for a looong time
