Well,it automatically appears on their system screen after two days. So if u just made the payment a day before ur interview,it will not reflect on their system and they may just use that as an excuse to deny you even if you provide a receipt. So next time,pay it in advance to avoid issues or if u pay so late,make sure to mail the sevis adminstration so that they will process it quickly,plead with them. So I ask again,when did u make the payment

Visa finally approved on Thursday 9th august at 6:45am.. Lagos consulate
I got to the embassy before 6am, waited in line, after all the biometrics and all, we finally got into the hall. I just kept praying in my mind and telling God that I want a male white v.o this time and he must lead with questions that will enable me to sell my strong points.. Finally sha, I got sent to window two..male white v.o.. Two guys were inline ahead of me and both got denied but I said hmmm, I have done my best o, God please favour me..Then came my turn ...

Honestly at this point, I went temporarily deaf o.. So guys, I'm in the US.
Here's my experience:
Booked Royal Air Maroc from Lagos. Flight was for 6:05am 13th August. Arrived Casablanca at 10.30am. RAM delayed my flight twice. Waited for 28hrs in Casablanca Morocco before finally leaving for New York. Left Casablanca at 3pm on the 14th.
....my stay in Casablanca...Lovely staff, ready to help even though it's hard to communicate as they don't speak English. Just a handful of them do. But BAD food. I was lucky to get a good spot at the lounge....nice beds though. I was told that the hotel rooms got filled up pretty fast.
Arrived JFK at 6pm. Didn't get off the plane till about 6:30. The border control officer only did my biometrics and asked where I was heading to, course of study, if it was my first time in the US and if I had any foods or drinks. I reached out to get my documents asking if he wanted to see any and he said not to bother, he trusts me. Baggage claim took more than 40mins before I could get my bags.
Met with my school staff waiting to welcome and receive international students. It was pretty late already... 8pm US time. There was a shuttle provided to get to school. I've kinda settled in but I need to complete my sleep.

Best of luck in your studies. Don't fret no matter how challenging it might seem.

I have been following this thread for a while and would like to ask a few questions:
I have been accepted to ECPI University in Virginia for the January 2019 intake, the school called me and told me using my Uncle as a sponsor doesn’t hold water and I can be denied, that I should look for a closer relative as sponsor. I understand their concerns but do you think this will affect my chances of getting a visa?

Also I studied Chemical Engineering for my BSc and I applied for information systems for MSc. I know I can link both programs and I worked mostly in the ICT sector, will this also be a problem knowing the difference in course for my Bsc and my MSc. Please help.

My case is really funny somehow. I scheduled and expedited interview due to time constraint as my school fall session commences in a a short while, only for the US embassy to reschedule me for a day after school resumption due to the Abuja consul closure brouhaha. Though I have a petition for late arrival from the school, I am really worried right now.

Hello house! Please I need help from those who have been through what I'm experiencing at the moment. My interview was on July 25th in Abj. I was placed on Administrative Processing for nearly two weeks and when I checked the CEAC site on the 6th of August I saw 'Refused'. I felt really bad, can't lie about that but I didn't know the scary part was incoming. I went to pick up my passport and besides the pink paper, there was this white paper attached and there was one part where "Fake bank documents" was handwritten. My uncle who's also my sponsor kept assuring me that the statement of account was legit even though I asked him twice before I was refused. I can swear anyday, anytime that I had no idea the statement wasn't legit. Throughout my school days I no even get mind carry expo enter exam hall not to talk of presenting an altered statement of account to the US embassy that is thorough. I don't have one fraudulent bone in me. The problem is I don't know if I have been banned cos the VO warned me I'd be banned if the statement isn't authentic. Please what do I do now? I'm so confused and in a very bad place right now. The US embassy is not a place you can walk in to iron issues out. I sent a mail several days ago and still no reply. Some people are encouraging me not to wait too long before trying again so I wouldn't look guilty (with a different sponsor tho). Others think I should just give it time before trying again so I don't look suspicious when I bring two different statement of accounts from different sponsors within a short period of time. Please anybody with an idea should feel free to chip in. If you have been through something similar and you don't want to say anything here, please email me. I feel lost right now. PLEASE HOUSE, HELP.

pls I need the guru to help me with the procedures of gaining an admission. I mean what and what will be required and how much will it cost. apart from standardized exams. thanks I really appreciate.

I will be approving your visa just kept ringing in my head..He had to tap the window to get my attention and then talked about the importance of the i-20 at the POE.. That's how I smiled, said thank you sir, picked up my folder and left o.... Thanks to everyone that assisted with my questions on this thread... We will all make it in Jesus name ..

I was placed on Administrative Processing for nearly two weeks and when I checked the CEAC site on the 6th of August I saw 'Refused'. I felt really bad, can't lie about that but I didn't know the scary part was incoming. I went to pick up my passport and besides the pink paper, there was this white paper attached and there was one part where "Fake bank documents" was handwritten. My uncle who's also my sponsor kept assuring me that the statement of account was legit even though I asked him twice before I was refused. I can swear anyday, anytime that I had no idea the statement wasn't legit. Throughout my school days I no even get mind carry expo enter exam hall not to talk of presenting an altered statement of account to the US embassy that is thorough. I don't have one fraudulent bone in me. The problem is I don't know if I have been banned cos the VO warned me I'd be banned if the statement isn't authentic. Please what do I do now? I'm so confused and in a very bad place right now. The US embassy is not a place you can walk in to iron issues out. I sent a mail several days ago and still no reply. Some people are encouraging me not to wait too long before trying again so I wouldn't look guilty (with a different sponsor tho). Others think I should just give it time before trying again so I don't look suspicious when I bring two different statement of accounts from different sponsors within a short period of time. Please anybody with an idea should feel free to chip in. If you have been through something similar and you don't want to say anything here, please email me. I feel lost right now. PLEASE HOUSE, HELP.

Here to learn, follow, apply, succeed, testify and give back.

1) You have probably been banned. However there is no way to know except the VO tells you. Trying again might be waste of money 2) How did you even intend to pay tuition when you don't have a GA or a legit uncle willing to pay. Don't let anybody deceive you, America without GA or a legit source of tuition or out of state waiver is hard. Its hell on earth. If they tell you, you will hustle an average of $9000/semester out, its a lie. No way, think before you leap.

However the only way you can be in the know of what it is for you is to reapply and of course with legitimate documents this time. I’m sure the visa officer would be able to state it to you if or not you have been banned right there. The fact is that you should prepare your mind that your next application is more or less an exercise through which you want to clear your doubts about being banned and NOT an attempt to see if you would be granted your visa because you will NOT be granted the visa on your next application no matter how hard you try.

After you have found out your stand about the implication of the fake bank document, then you can follow the appeal process should it turn out that you have actually been banned or keep trying to reapply and writing the full explanation on the section on why you were refused the visa in your previous application , if you have not been banned. To appeal the ban, you would need to work with a lawyer and be determined to pursue it to the loose ends. It would be tough and stressful but if you have the dream or desire to really get educated in the United States , it would be something to try. Otherwise completely look away and try other countries.

In all no one knows how things would turn tomorrow and you could still make it down to the US even after the ban. Bans last for 10 years and there’s no guarantee your sins would be forgotten even after the duration of the ban!

I was actually going to pay just that my father doesnt have a robust balance. I wanted to pay and then look for a way to secure GA.

The part that's got me confused is the fact they didnt issue any paper telling me my fate. I plan to follow this up but i just dont know the procedure
