You seems not to get it, Saraki and other PDP wants Akpabio's senate seat day cleared vacant, not his minority leadership position which he has resigned already. If sariki and other decampees can hold their position, why will he makes moves to declear his vacant.

The problem with Nigeria is hypocrisy, we hail when our own man does something bad while we screen if another camp does similar to our man.
u are on point. Nigerians no sabi book. Akpabio is afraid of being chased out of the senate chambers, not minority leader which events overtook when he resingned from PDP

Really? That's being absurd by saraki.
that's akpabio's claim. Senate is in recess. Noyhing can happen till senate resumes.

This ex parte order should make the madness that happened in Kaduna state house of assembly null and void
exactly

Smart move, if apkabio , and other decampees can't loose their seat even when there wasn't any fractionalization in PDP, then saraki can't loose his when there was an obvious fractionalization in APC, leading to 23 states with parallel Congress. That is some offensive move, saraki is no more playing defensive. For people who lack understanding of this move; the sole aim is to loose the case and give the loss good publicity thereby setting a precedence that what is good for apkabio is also good for others saraki's lawyers would never contest the ex parte order
u're ignorance of what's happening. Nobody want Saraki to lose his seat but d Senate leadership

, both of you seem not to understand what took place in kaduna where the deputy speaker resigned and decamped to the APC and the speaker declared the deputy speakers sit vacant, that's what akpabio is running away from, by the way Saraki has got upper hand in all of this
u got it wrong. Akpabio has resigned as minority leader. He is afraid of his seat as a senator being declared vacan and barred from entering senate chamber

. That's dead on arrival, nothing can prompt him to resign, as no where in the constitution makes senate presidency an exclusive right of the rullng party.

Let me agree with you that this is Saraki's ace move.
true, if you cant remove Akpabio, you cant on the same basis, remove Saraki for decamping.

But here is another move:
Saraki was elelcted as SP, not by 2/3rds of the whole Senate memmbers (107 members).
He was elected by a simple majority (or let us even say 2/3rds) of the few/total Senate members present at the sitting on the day he of his 'election coup' in 2016 (recall that a large chunk of the Senate APC-members where somewhere else waiting for our not-so-smart President, who caled them for a meeting!).

So, if Saraki can be elected by 2/3rds of 'such number', (irrespective of what that number is), Saraki will be impeached at a particular sitting where 2/3rds of any number of Senators are present..... be it 50, 30, 70, e.t.c.

All they have to show is that of 'such number' present at the sitting on that day (just like the day of his selection), 2/3rds of them voted for his impeachment and he remians impeached.

I am sure Oshiomole is already looking at that scenario.

One day, Saraki will be answering a question probably at the FSARS investigating one of his numerous criminal activities, some Senators will gather on the floor of the NASS and move a motion for his impeachment (after ensuring that his PDP supporters are in naother engagement) and before his supporters like Dino could say 'wetin', the impeachers have carried the day.

Just like that, he is finished.

Saraki has mudered sleep and he wont even slumber, talkless sleeping.

You are quite funny and also sound like buhari and oshiomole. The simple truth is that you can't use coup or blackmail to impeach saraki, you only need a constituitional and political strategy, if you like steal mace, lay siege use media and even DSS. Constitution is very clear you need 2/3 of the whole senate to impeach saraki, while only majority of the inaugural Senate meeting is needed to apoint a senate leader. For educational purpose and benefit of arguments here I will quote the section backing my claims in the Nigerian constitution; (1) There shall be:-
(a) a President and a Deputy President of the Senate, who shall be elected by the members of that House from among themselves; and
(b) a Speaker and a Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, who shall be elected by the members of that House from among themselves.
(2) The President or Deputy President of the Senate or the Speaker or Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives shall vacate his office -
(a) if he ceases to be a member of the Senate or of the House of Representatives, as the case may be, otherwise than by reason of a dissolution of the Senate or the House of Representatives; or
(b) when the House of which he was a member first sits after any dissolution of that House; or
(c) if he is removed from office by a resolution of the Senate or of the House of Representatives, as the case may be, by the votes of not less than two-thirds majority of the members of that House.

Okay., l don hear you, Mr. Dino Me-Lying! grin grin

We all know the number of Senators Nigerian's constitution made provision for.
if Saraki can twist it to his favour, trust me, no be only him get that sense.
Just relax with Popcorn and watch events as they unfold.
Saraki is no longerin APC and there is no holds barred henceforth.

Can you imagine, the Clown is pretending that he is just thinking of contesting for President today, when that has been his secret ambiton from day one, ....he even has to slap his father, just to achieve it this far!
Cursed person from a cursed family, that Saraki.

Ambition no be crime, in fact since saraki joined politics after society general He has never lost a single election, unlike one general who is a professional losser, and a serial recessionist (if that word exist), if not for tinubu in 2015, who they also tried to sideline after victory. If we want to talk about betrayal, yes saraki stood his ground that his own sister can't govern kwara as against his dad's wish( must it be family affairs). If you have read about Mr general as an head of state who betrayed everyone who brought him to power to select an ilorin Yoruba Fulani man and a much more junior rank to the coupist as number too man, and yet made him rub it in the face of COAS babangida at that time, you would know Mr generals second name is betrayal
