Sowore has lost my vote.
I thought he knows Nigerians problem but he doesn't.
Hence, can't win 2019 presidential election.
He will surely achieve one thing (his name will have the tag of one time presidential aspirant).
He needs to tell is how he will reduce the jumbo pay of our politicians.
Money is not our problem but quality leadership.
He wants to increase minimum wage to N100,000 that will not follow workers home.
What will be the spiral effect on house rent, food stuff, school fees , transportation.
In fact I think the political party members and those propagating him are more clueless than Sawore.
Is minimum wage Nigerians problem? Sawore please answer me.

I served in Sokoto. Back then, the teachers were earning about 25k monthly. It really did not matter because that amount was equivalent to 50k or 60k in Lagos. You could actually cook a lovely pot of soup for 250 naira. It goes beyond increasing the minimum wage. People will just increase the prices of commodities and we are back to square one. You have to improve the standard of living. With a good standard of living, you will be surprised that 40k will go a long way. I bet Mr sowore does not even have a plan on how he wants to deal with the senate and the house of reps thats full of rogues. Foolish promise...N100,000 minimum wage is not the solution. It will only blow up the inflation rate and restore the status quo in a matter of months. What Nigeria needs is a boost in productivity. Massive agricultural government funded projects which can be privatized after three years of operation will bring down the food price index, raise the standard of living, and allow the allocation of income towards other uses. The restoration of our refineries and substituting petroleum product exportation for crude oil exportation after ensuring local demand is met at a lower price of say N30 per liter for PMS will further pull down the energy price index, earn Nigeria more money and raise the standard of living even more. Only these accomplishments would make a minimum wage of N18000 worth something. The fall in food and energy prices will have secondary effects on savings, investments, real exchange rate and the business cycle! I wonder who advises these politicians...

SOWORE maintains his earlier position that minimum wage will be 100,000 Naira when he becomes President.

Now for those pessimist who will come here to tell me it is not possible...

Politicians have told us many lies that's why you are saying it is not possible.

Permit me to tell you that a Nigerian Senator collects nothing less than 20 million naira every month...the house of reps members collects nothing less than 7.5 million every month.

Ministers and top government appointees collect millions every month.

Then when it comes to workers welfare they will tell you it is not possible to give workers a bumpy pay yet they spend billions of naira on themselves.

They waste billions buying you over during elections.

Be positive for once.

Vote SOWORE FOR PRESIDENT 2019.
we are paying less than 18,000 with 70% of budget

where will the 100,000 come from

Before you start blowing trumpets...reason a little! He is intending to raise the minimum nominal wage and not the minimum real wage. These two are different. Those who earn minimum wage are quite substantial and if you raise the minimum wage to N100,000 you have just succeeded in pumping a lot of money into circulation. Now with our import dependence, poor agricultural productivity, poor interstate transportation and our exportation of crude oil/importation of petroleum products, I assure you that the N100,000 minimum wage will be a failure because these factors I have just mentioned will ensure that the inflation rate remains double digits. If Mr Sowore can solve these problems first, there will be no need for a minimum wage revision. With 18000 you will be able to save to pay your rent, transport yourself easily, feed yourself effortlessly and still have something to put away in a safe at the end of the month. This is simple economics...and Mr Sowore lacks it. He needs economic experts on his team to advise him appropriately on public policy.

It's forgiving for the fact that Nigerians have been bastardized to the point that simple things to them are not possible here in Nigeria. If it's possible for one individual to steal $3 billion, which I know several other individuals are stealing in similar amounts, then why is not possible to pay N100k to civil servants. Sowore proposed to make June 12 a national holiday, few days later the federal govt out of no where implemented the same idea. At a gathering he said he would increase minimum wage and Corpers allowance. Immediately after the federal govt made a similar announcement. These are no lies. The videos and government response are all out there. The most depressing part of this all is that the same youths who suffer more than all are the ones rising up against the guy rather than the enemies of the people.

There are about 90,000 federal civil servants (2015). At a N100k per month, that's just N9 billion. Minister Adeosun claim monthly salaries of civil servants is N165 Billion but admitted that many of them are ghost workers. For example in National Railway Corporation alone which is moribund and not adding value to the economy except for recent skeletal services here and there, there are 10,000 NRC workers. What this tell you most of the salaries government is paying goes to ghost workers. If these leakage are blocked, higher salaries is feasible for genuine civil servants.

Nigeria problem is far beyond minimum wage. What does he plan to do will millions of unemployed youths? What is his plan to tackle the security challenges we are faced with? How does he plan to ensure uninterrupted power supply? These are the real issues he should have addressed first.

The same old stories. Inflation don't rise when a single individual steal $3 billion and launder same in Nigeria. But when it's time pay workers more, that's when inflation rise.

The worst part is that most of them here know PDP and APC are taking us nowhere but they are naively bringing up stupid clauses like 'experience' to soil him. Goan vote Atiku or Buhari and lets continue the cycle. Foolish youths with no future who hav also mortgaged that of their children.

I really get tired talking to fellow youths these days in Nigeria. Most of us believe in failure and some simple strategic thinking capacity is herculean for us. That was how one goat the other day in final year was busy justifying her position of not even collecting her pvc based on the forced mentality that votes dont count and we MUST choose btw buhari and whoever PDP will field again. These old rascals know MOST of us rudderless youths think like this and it gladdens their heart. I am still torn between sowore, durotoye and moghalu on whom to vote. I think these guys should merge, produce one outta the three and get a smart northern youth on the ticket. God help us.

Reading through the comments on this thread, you'd realize why the country is where it is, look at youths saying it is impossible...How impossible is it?
Someone asked how private businesses will pay 100k? Dumb question, how many private businesses or state governments are paying up to the current minimum wage? Sowore's proposed minimum wage will hold sway for the FG first.

Others say it's not economically feasible but they live in a country where the average politician live a life of opulence, they build houses they don't live in, they pay in excess to have young girls lay with them, they send their kids to the best schools, they have multiple mistresses, they have exotic cars, they run their generating set 24/7 yet you idiots think it's not feasible to pay those who genuinely work for the growth and development of the country 100k? Suffering and smiling it is...

Others are asking for blueprint when it is all over the net, lazy, very lazy...

Let's give me sowore constructive criticism without insult.

Mr sowore is better than anything APC or PDP.

Your earlier campaign promise was there will be nothing like Senate when you become president. So you think you can use their salaries to pay civil servants. Wrong move.

Government main responsibility is to create enabling environment for business to thrive, if you can achieve this Nigeria would automatically on the part of greatness.

How do government create enabling environment

Encourage sme
Make access to finance easier
Give finance to Nigeria companies that have capacity to become big business finance and allow them become capitalist like dangote
Reduce civil service
Encourage regional government

I wish you guys can do a more reality check on cabals and how to easily get a policy passed for the benefit of the average citizen too since all previous administration are clueless before sowore comes to take over.

Sowore and AAC did their reseach and calculations before coming up with this amount.

Your Senators and House of Reps members are the highest paid in the world earning millions of naira monthly with other benefits and ward/consituency allocations but when it comes to paying civil servants, they say Nigeria has no money.

All the Abacha loot recovered where have they gone?? Private pockets of govt officials of course.
