@Opeblaqwell

I will choose not to reply to ur abusive words, even tho I didnt call you names in any way in my quote to you. I have just told you the gospel truth, Its people like you that make it difficult for Genuine students to get Visa cos the VOs thinks almost all Nigerian Applicants are desperate to leave this country to go look for Jobs in Canada, and thats the reason for this magnitude of rejection. Getting Study visas some 7 - 8 years ago wasnt as difficult as it is now. But desperados like you that wanna leave this country to with a study visa without going their to study, buh look for Job has made it difficult for Genuine student to actualize their dreams of studying in Canada. And to the last bolded part, So me telling u the bitter truth means am a woman beater.. shocked shocked shocked cheesy cheesy I will assume you are talking based on experience. If your husband or boyfriend beats you, am glad to let you know that all MEN aint like that. and dnt expect I will reply ur next post tho, cos I am not in the habit of replying rude and abusive ladies like you. Is like we are going to put rules and regulations in this groups and 3 months ban should follows.....justwise please take note..........

And for the person that posted working in Canada when you actually apply for study visa...work permit come with visa....truly truly student visa was the simpliest way back...but when nigeria get to canada on study permit they will abandoned school and go working that is one of the reason v.o scrutinized Nigeria than any other country....

if you are going for work....go through work permit trend and apply straight way

If you are going for study visa ......do likewise.....

This group is for study visa.......all the process of doing it yourself and not other way round.....

And am very sure some visa officer knows about this trend and they usually read all our post and comments

Like I say yesterday some people are waiting for small quarrel before they explode......make una take time...before I vex......lol

its just so unfortunate that someone can attack you with abusive words just cos you told her the bitter truth. We all know the reasons why these VOs are harsh on Nigerians its cos of some people like Opeblaqwell that get to Canada to work instead of going there to study. And am sure these VOs knw that many Nigerians do this in Canada, thats why they go the extra mile to be convinced by applicants that they are going there to study. It pains me seeing a genuine student with all his documents being rejected by the VO, cos the VOs thinks its all Nigerians are like that, going to Canada to work instead of study. Now am telling you this forum isnt a forum for Jobs, that you should change ur mindset to study or go to the Forum for Jobs which is Express entry and you telling me am Insane and am an Idiot, even calling me a woman beater. Its well.

Please I saw UCI as question 2 on study permit form imm1294 & question 3 on TRV form imm5257. Please what's the meaning of UCI? What are we expected to fill there?

Please forgive my many questions

If this is the 1st time you are applying for a Canadian Visa, you can leave it blank. The UCI is a number that is generated for each applicant after he applies for a Canadian Visa for the 1st time. Then that number can be used in subsequent Visa applications.

So leave it blank.

Leave it blank if it is your first time applying for a study permit.

Hi All,

I have curiosly been researching and I am presently open to fresh contribution.

When is it an advantage paying fee ahead before applying for visa with the motive of including it in the application?

It is common and am sure it worked for some people that is why it is kind of popular. But many times here people has been say it is not necessary.

Some Universities actually recommend you pay and include your receipts to bolster your visa application.
Some Others may not recommend , follow the rule of thumb ; if the school has a refund policy in place ,why not. Pay and include your receipt. Applications vary so you might just be convincing the VO positively by doing that.
Nevertheless , people also get their Visa apps approved without tuition fee receipts but you must include info on due date of fees and healthy SOA . Apps vary never forget. There is some more to this also take note.

Cool! Thanks

In summary, simply said "pay your fees before applying" except you have full scholarship.

Your best bet will be express entry considering your educational qualification and work experience......however, cos of ur age,....hmmmm......as you advance above 35years; your score drops by some points....it will do good if you take time to read through express entry and profile yourself for it......not to forget .....the IELTS exams....which u must pass....the higher you score the more your CRS(comprehensive ranking score)

Been in your early 40s poses a significant challenge definitely to your future in landing a Canadian Study permit. You have to do significantly more in convincing the VO that you would be a genuine student since you left school over 15 years ago and have been working. You have to do more to overcome the odd than let’s say somebody who just finished school a year or two ago. You have to convince the VO that your head is still fresh and that you can excel in school and at this age, really have the genuine intention of studying. It is possible to do this convincing, the ball is all in your court, after all there was a 51 year old man on this forum last 3 months ago, who was knacked with a study permit at the masters level, which is what I would advice you to apply if you choose to.

Thank you all..I will try and apply again.God will definitely work miracles for them to overturn the ban and approve the visa

Dear Jobitex,
I think you shot yourself in the leg with omitting the US visa denial in your application and also when you were served the fairness letter, you mentioned that you were also denied a UK visa. Maybe the VO had checked with the yankee people and found out you had been denied a visa before and gave you opportunity to defend that, but you came up with another visa denial that you didn’t declare also in the first application. Then the VO presumably thinks you may have more visa denials you are hiding from them and then gave you the five years ban.

Please do u need an eta when traveling to Canada as a student

Hi Sonaskhi,

You don’t need an ETA to travel to Canada as you already have a study permit, which will facilitate your admission into Canada through any of its border. ETA is meant for nationals of countries with visa waiver agreement with Canada or simply put countries that don’t require visa to enter Canada.

Pretty execellent I say you just have to put up a good admission essay ,proceed with your school.
You have the most basic requirement which is a 2.1 u will have to use the other parts of your application to compensate

Believe just believe

Most universities in Canada will want at least an application fee except your affected by Donald trump’s travel ban , you can try Europe and I also knw a few schools In The US which will waive the fee if you request . So this is what you will do try getting schools mail and put up a convincing mail to the graduate program coordinator see if he / she can sympathize with you.

As for the 2.2, if you have work experience in your desired course you can be admitted and also if your last two years of study sums up to a 2.1 then you can also be considered

It all depends on the school and most importantly God. God’s speed

Thanks ratawu for responding to my issues, actually, the professor in Canada, actually wrote on the relevance of the course, how it an excellent fit for my previous academic qualification, employment prospect, recommendation, telling the VO he strongly advice them to approve my visa as a genuine student.. as for my lecturer here in Nigeria, he tackled how the course is needed here in Nigeria and all.. am just afraid, I shouldn’t have added them..the letters look cool, but just scared the VOs might see it another way! I tried to tackle the reasons I was denied tho..have not seen anybody collected letter from school.. mo gbe ooooo

Good morning Kingfitan.... Congrats once again on your TRV approval, please I would need your assistance towards something personal and I want to ask if I can PM you. I will be waiting for your reply...

Thank you.
