HOW IS THEIR COUNTERPART IN EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICA COPING?

If they are coping without complaint then the federal government or the private company that engage this female staff must go and study the working conditions of their counterpart in the developed world and then do some amendment to give the workers more time to be at home with their loved ones.

Oil rig men that work offshore leaving their wife at home also face the same problem as they do not have time with their wife and children.

Their children are not properly guided because Daddy is in one offshore location controlling rig facilities.

The same problem affects diplomat, ambassador, etc who posted to foreign countries sometimes they leave their wife and children back in Nigeria while serving abroad. I know there are some that go with their family to their areas of service.

No sane person spends 30 months at sea.... except the Filipinos on tanker ships (And this happens when he writes to the ship owner to extend his contracts for the fear of been laid off after his contract)

The new IMO regulations for seafarers has stated that a Seafarer should spend maximum of 4months before going on time off (On tankers)

The maximum I've spent onboard is three months and it wasn't a funny experience.

When a crew is held back or doesn't have a reliever, some crew onboard commits suicide or feign sickness just to go home.

While the regular sailors who works onboard AHTS, PSV, OSV, Tug boats or security boats spends one - two months before going on time off.

So the higher percentage of the females loves working onboard offshore vessels which is very flexible for them.

It's rare seeing a girl working onboard a tanker ship except during her sea phase training (Which is rare, just like seeing a female cook onboard a ship)
