Nawa oo.. This kind tin sef..

Na to go put head for Lithuania na.. Lol

Linzo:

Mr man stop encouraging people to prepay school because it harms the applicant more with no benefit from it and at the end if refuses Visa, getting refund has prove hectic and student will have to lose a huge part of the his/her hard earned money or even all the money.

Secondly, Canada government with its wisdom knows that applicants from countries like Nigeria are likely to be refuse Visa that's why they did not include it as part of the requirements for obtaining study Visa. Most countries like Lithuania will ask you to to pay €3000 of your school fee as part of the requirements for obtaining study Visa and after paying it you have 98% guarantee of visa approval within 5-7 days.

I repeat do not pay fee in advance!!! The officials knows that refund is always an herculean task in the event of refusal, Yes approval rate for countries like Nigeria are less than 40%. I remember earlier this year when I contacted the No1 Visa processing agent in Australia name "Brightannica" and they honestly advice me and let me know that student Visa approval from Nigeria is less than %8 and such they don't accept client from Nigeria anymore since it requires student to pay fee before Visa application.

I'm quite impatient though first lesson for Canada is Anxiety Management 101. If I was the one that got that message, I would have been welcoming them to work today. In fact, I will help them sweep the office so they can resume work early if it will reduce waiting time.

I am so sorry about your delay. Don't be in a haste to reapply, tackle the reasons for delay and then refire. It will end in praise
Carlz1:
Application refused
Paper route
Applied 27th July
Eligibility began 18th August
Refusal letter 29th August
Processed in Nairobi
I actually wonder if they go through documents provided. I’m really surprised.

I’m to resume in January so I plan on reapplying for the last time and I want to do it all by myself and I want to use the online route this time. Please I need all the support I can get. Thanks

Lol.... every country has it own visa problem, Lithuania don't have embassy or submitting center in Nigeria, your school in Lithuania will send your informations to the embassy you choose, so you have to get a visa first to South Africa, Egypt or Turkey first for interview and getting a visa these days to these countries is not easy. Wish you success

@mcobex my gcms note is out pls help the poor boi hope you still remember me you ask me to wait for d gcms note then you know how to support and advice on what to do
I just saw it now and the reasons are: Hometie and travel history. I don't think travel history is that important, once you tackle the issue of hometie the travel history will disappear.
Pls what and what did you submit and did you try to answer the question of hometie in your last application?
Also I think you should write a LOE concerning your previous denial and the steps you have taken to address it. So you will write both SOP & LOE.

Good day to you all,

I need someone to confirm if this is really an important criteria for VISA denial.

I contacted an agent yesterday in regards to getting me a student visa and he said that my year of graduation (2016) is okay but my age (30 years) will be a problem why i might be denied visa.

However, he suggested that i apply for student visa in the following countries; UK, USA and Ireland.

A simplified clarification will be appreciated.

GOD BLESS US!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!!

A lot of factors are considered.............and every consideration is on a case by case basis...............being 30years or above 30years will not be the sole reason why a Canadian Student Visa application will be declined........2 factors are key to the VO, "that you have sufficient & available funds for your proposed studies and that you would return back at the end of your temporary stay in Canada".............

However you can materially convince the VO that you are a genuine student that would return back after your studies now lies in your arms.........Goodluck

If the school did not mandate you to pay tuition fee, don't pay. Don't be deceived with the refundable gimmick you see. You will not get your full money when they refund the money. Apart from the administrative charge the school will deduct, exchange rate differences will also make you to lose substantial amount. I have seen somebody who lost close to N200,000 on about $15,000 he paid for tuition fee after the refund

Hello @Cherryola,

Did you state how the course is going to be used her in Nigeria upon your return?

For example, you can say a line that says, ''studying business Administration will help me improve my business acumen, knowledge etc. I have looked at the course curriculum of my program at blah blah school and i am excited because i will be learning XYZ, ABC which would equip me with the required skill to grow my real estate business upon my return( or any other business that you may want to go into). They all have to be related.

My 2cents.

From observation it's not a good sign for eligibility to start then later go back to background check instead of proceeding medical request. I think something was not convincing enough!

From what I have gathered, when an application get to the Canadian High Commission, it goes straight to background check which is in two ways. One is done by CSIS for security and criminal check while the second one is conducted by the quality control unit for document check and verification. Once your application get to the VO for a review, your application changes to "we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements".
IF ALONG THE LINE THE VO HAS CONCERN WITH CERTAIN DOCUMENTS YOU INCLUDED IN YOUR APPLICATION, HE WILL RETURN YOUR DOSSIER BACK TO THE CONTROL UNIT FOR FURTHER VERIFICATION.
That might be the reason your eligibility started and went back to processing.

Correct. But it is not only documents that is checked. Information you answered on CIC forms is also verified for authenticity.

Errm.. Let me be sure, we are on the same page. On Aug 7th it change to "we are reviewing eligibility" and on the 8th Aug it changed back to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility". While background check remained "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information" at both period.

You said from "Observation".. can you shed some more light!!
