Not compulsory. She can go ahead with her application even without paying the said amount, since the deadline is still 8 months away. The only time situations like this can affect ur application is when the VO starts working on the application after the payment deadline(Cos VOs also look out for this), but so far the VO starts working on the application within the stipulated time, then u are good to go. But if she has the money, then its her decision to pay or not. But please if she wanna pay let her check the refund policy of the school to avoid stories that touch in the future. Good luck

Hi guys, my sister got an acceptance letter for fall 2019 at Durham College, one of the conditions for acceptance stated on the letter is a partial fee payment of $9763.64 must be received by the college by June 15, 2019 to secure her seat. She's gonna apply to CIC next month, since the expiry is still 8 months away is it compulsory she pay the money before application? will it in anyway affect her application?

Sorry about your delay. When your cloud is full, your rain will definitely fall. Don't give up on your dream, your rain will fall soon.

Good day to the Gurus in the house and distinguished Nairalanders.

My Study permit application was refused for the second time. I was initially refused in London on the ground of purpose of visit. I put up a strong SOP to convince the VO why I would return to Nigeria after my studies. Provided evidence of personal investments, bequeathed building from my late Father, included my admission letter which stated that payment of school fee can only be done after receiving study permit and other strong points which I did not include in my first application, but after notifying IRCC of changes in my status that my wife put to bed and stated that I have made adequate provisions for their up keep I was slapped with a refusal by nairobi in two hours after sending the message. This time nairobi stated four reasons for refusal even though I took my time to prepare a very strong SOP. I do not know whether I did wrong by informing IRCC of changes in status cos I know it is mandatory to reveal such changes to IRCC so as to update your profile. I AM NOT GIVING UP YET.

Thanks Frank,

Application for Fall Semester 2019 is open yet on Conestoga website. And would not be open until december this year.
Do i suffer a risk if I send a mail to CIC notifying them of DLI change.

I haven't seen any applicant that changed his/her DLI while an application is still undergoing visa processing. If anyone has done this in the past or present please signify. Your best bet is to hold on to God and be prayerful that your visa gets approved by next week, with this you can easily effect a DLI change and resume studies in the school of your choice. You can as well be in close contact with your institution and inform them about the situation on ground, if they could be of paramount assistance to issue you a fall 2019 acceptance letter before December when CIC eventually request for it.

Sounds Interesting! So to have a cut of this birthday cake of yours, I have to travel all the way from the south-western world of Nigeria to the central-north territory...? The distance is much! undecidedHappy Birthday to you in advance.

Someone here promised to assist you. Let him guide you through the admission process. I believe you will get the admission on your own. I'm not going to dissuade you from using EWC because I won't be happy if someone does that to my Client. Read the thread and decide how you want to proceed. Rest assured, a lot of people here are willing to assist 24hrs of the day as they are in different time zones for free. Hell, someone may even walk to the international office and get you information.

I guess they promised to refund because they are 99% sure of securing admission. If you go through the thread even on this page or one page behind you will notice that folks have secured multiple admission on their own and even have challenges deciding which one to take.
Thanks brooo

In the process of applying to University of Manitoba for my Masters in Computer Science. I really do not know the pros and cons of thesis and coursework. I have the option to choose between both. Coursework seems attractive to me since it will require less stress. Should I go for coursework?

I'm yet to get my correspondence letter as well. I received my passport from vsf on thursday. But i want to clarify something before going ahead to send a CSE. if someone else applied for me, can i send the CSE on my own or it's better the person that did the application sends it instead. Cause on the webform, after applicants info they also asked about the representative's info as well. Thanks.

This seems to be a generalized issue now. I had thought I was the odd one out, makes 3 of us now. If I may ask sisikemo, when are you supposed to resume?

As an applicant you are within your rights to send the CSE (There is an option to choose "Applicant" in the drop down) regardless of whether you had used a representative before, so far your UCI and Application number are correct. You can initiate a CSE yourself.

It will happen. It has happened. You will fly to Saskatchewan this fall by God's grace. God has already intervened. The only reward for good is good. God bless you.

Course works seems attractive but you won't be able to do PhD with it.
I will suggest you choose Thesis option because of the benefits also interms of funding.

Just an opinion.

I also applied 2weeks ago for fall 2019

Nice jobs here!!!!! I want to ask; is visa approval rate higher with masters applicant than graduate certificate/diploma applicants? What are the chances for graduate certificate applicants especially if you plead career change and you have professional certification to support the certificate area of study. I am in between York for m.sc and Centennial for a graduate certificate that aligns with my career change. The main factor for considering graduate certificate is the affordable tuition compared with how much I need to pay in York. What if my spouse too wants to apply alongside so that she can do short courses as she has a thriving personal business offering services. The intent is not to relocate, but we just want to improve ourselves academically. We can sustain ourselves and two kids while studying and finance is not an issue.

Hey guys, for those of you who went for research based master courses, how do you do with supervisors? I've been emailing dem and no one is replying my email. Is it just me or there's something I'm not doing right

One of the problems of thesis is finding supervisors that will be interested in you. Have you got a supervisor?

Only once..

Biakwa:

Mighty,

Today makes three times I have been sending messages to CIC, no single response... 14 weeks counting...
How long have you been sending messages to them?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by SirVal94: 6:59pm On Sep 01, 2018
Keep mailing professors. You only need one to reply and possibly fund you. The composition of your mail is also important. These professors hardly have time to read long mails. Your mail has to be concise. You may also add your research publications/conference papers as an attachment, if you have any.

The point is how different is your letter of introduction different from other applicants? Professors receive loads of emails from prospective students on weekly basis, and the most difficult challenge for them, in my opinion, is identifying the right student. So you have to get it right from the first mail you send. Your hustle go pay one day.

Uni of Manitoba said a supervisor will be automatically assigned to me based on my academic transcripts evaluation and statement of intent.
Although I applied in faculty of education, so I will advise you to send a mail to your department first.
You should get a reply by Tuesday afternoon.

Hmm, mehn it's not easy.
I also applied at University of Ottawa, and during the application I was directed to list of professors in my faculty,to choose one from.
What I did is just to go back to my department staff professor list and and look for the one that match my concentration and research interest.
I just hope I'm the right direction.

Good evening Team,

Please can application be refused/ denied as a result of non payment of tuition deposit. Though no specific time was given for payment.

Can one proceed with the application and pay the tuition deposit later.
