With this kind of faith, you don't need too many questions, travel n see. But, If I am in your shoes, Canada will be best bet. Don't get me wrong, just my opinion.

Hello, I am resuming at the university of Bath in September but I dont like the accommodation allocated to me by the school. Its a single room in a 6 bedroom flat with 2 shared bathrooms and kitchen with a price is £600/month (bills inclusive). I personally would prefer a studio apartment or share a two bedroom flat . Anybody with advise on renting properties in Bath should please advise. Houses there are really expensive!! shocked shocked Also should I pay for my accommodation from here or wait till I resume and see the place for myself before paying. Thanks

Hello. You gotten your preferred accommodation?
Re: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by Divaville(f): 1:10pm On Sep 05, 2018
Yes I have. I went along with the one allocated to me by the school.

Hi. I live and work in scotland.
For flights, use skyscanner.net to check for all flight options.
For sim cards, there are several lowcost networks like Lebara and Lycamobile, especially for calling Nigeria cheap. As a student, you shouldd have wifi around your school a lot so won't need to buy network data so much, but if you do, I recommend EE, Virgin Mobile, and 3.

I don't know about edinburgh, but There's no lack of nigerian stuff in Glasgow. There are at least 3 dedicated nigerian food stores, and 3 different nigerian restaurants in Glasgow. Also, many nigerian foods can be bought at any large middle-eastern food store, and I'm sure there are several at Edinburgh.

For affordable clothing, Primark is the best option.

Cheers

I will like to connect with you tristeeerics@gmail.com

Yes, there are many. Some offer full tuition waiver, some 50% and other different types of waiver. Usually, you have to go to the school sites and search.

Hey, guys. I want to make enquiries about studying Law in Cambridge.

How do I apply for Law in Cambridge with a Psychology degree from a Nigerian University? How exactly does it work?

I've checked out their website and gone through the entry requirements for Law, but I'm still not satisfied. I want exhaustive information about the process. As explicit as explicit can get.

Is there anyone who has an answer? I want a more direct, precise, and straight-forward answer. I don't want to make plans on shaky foundations and dangerous assumptions. I want to know everything now, and make my plans accordingly.

Kindly help with what you know.

Why don't you shoot admission or department a message to your query.
There is nothing anyone will say different from what you have read. The best way is to write to them as I have said earlier.

Sorry for late response bro. As I said, you need to do alot of research, getting full tuition waiver or even full scholarship has higher probability with the top schools. So, just take one of the rankings, probably the CUG ranking and check the top 30-50 schools for your course, then goto each of their web pages one after the other and navigate extensively on the scholarships they offer. By the time you do this, trust me you'll be overloaded with information. Some schools I can remember presently that do offer full scholarship/tuition are Oxbridge, Nottingham, Loughborough, Sheffield I think, Glasgow, Dundee etc. As I said, research. I wish you the best bro.

thanks bro. I think you are right with the top schools. my issue with top schools is that they tend to pick only first class grads.

Yeah, first class are first considered before others. But If you had earlier studied in any of these universities, your supervisor can help push for phd sponsorship, that only if your thesis is exceptional and you had worked very hard or have proved beyond measure, your capability.

Better spend the $18 on amazon & get the soap you need.
If you continue converting from Dollar to Naira & vice versa you will never spend any money.

I believe you still Fresh off the Boat but with time you will adjust.
I used to do same exact thing just like you when I first moved to the United States until I got my first job and started earning in dollars.

Just Last Week I wanted to make Egusi Soup but I couldn’t find any stores selling Palm Oil, I had to take the Train to a neighboring city about 45 minutes away before I could find an African Store.

I ended up paying almost $18 for a small bottle of palm oil that shouldn’t cost more than #600 in Nigeria.
After Buying everything I needed to make Egusi Soup & Beef Stew I ended up spending almost $150.

Normally I don’t spend more than $100/month when I Strictly eat American food only during the course of the month.

my point is if i saw the soap in a local store here it wouldnt be more than 3 pounds...not even up too
i saw an african store, they said they used to sell it before for 1.50....so y on earth wud amazon sell for 18( they have definetly inlcuded shipping cost).....thats why i find it really foolish to purchase a bar soap for just 18 pound

it could be those types of soap used for good luck, money, wife or husband etc. grin
or it could be bleaching type too, since it is illegal to sell in the UK, may be difficult to find.
