I'llike to discuss with you privately about your journey
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by adespecial: 12:49pm On Sep 08, 2018
You can change 300 dollars to rands and hold d remaining 200 dollars.... That was what I did.....
The exchange rate over there is highs....
Hairybelly01:

Thanks for the response but this is where getting confused. At the point that immigration request for my BTA and I present the $500, can I still change the currency to Rands ?
Or is it better I convert the money to Rands and present it to the immigration if asked for BTA?

With respect to 1-3, it's not necessary beacuse gigaba issued a waiver for RSA Graduates who qualify for critical skills visa

4. check here http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/immigration-services/scarce-skills-work-permits

https://www.vfsglobal.com/dha/southafrica/critical-skills-visa.html

these are good starting points

If he can compile all the required documents while his study permit is still valid, he can submit while he's still in South Africa

I think someone here converted or is about to convert his student permit to critical skills. You can check through previous posts.

Is there waive for people who graduated from UK too ?

Quite rich response! The only addition I have that you don't need Waec for saqa provided you have Msc - from my experience, just send the results and transcripts duly certified by a notary public. Your final grade in your Masters study is also a factor. You are expected to have at least a B' aggregate score. All the best.

Is a mphil/phd grade (55-59.9) a B'aggregate score?

Their process is one of the simplest in this world.. Once you have your credentials.. Your good to go.. In fact I got the admission since last year..was supposed to resume this year January but due to financial constraints I had to defer till next year and they kept my admission for me smiley

I applied as an undergrad so I didn't need a supervisor. But I used Cambridge A'levels & WAEC results while applying. They don't accept WAEC results only.So I applied on the website with my details, passport number and all neccesary info.

Finally, I paid app fees of 300Zar..the country is quite in recession now so the currency has dropped a bit..you can make use of this opportunity..

So, if your ready to apply click on this

https://applyonline.uct.ac.za/psc/onapplic/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/UCT_PUBLIC_MENU.UCT_SS_APPL.GBL?FolderPath=PORTAL_ROOT_OBJECT.UCT_SS_APPL_GBL&IsFolder=false&IgnoreParamTempl=FolderPath%2cIsFolder&

I hope this info helps.. Cheers smiley

Pls I would like to know how much their fees will look like, and also I followed the link it is asking for username n password, I haven't sign up.

Okay use this to signup

https://applyonline.uct.ac.za/psc/onapplic/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/UCT_PUBLIC_MENU.UCT_SS_APPL.GBL?FolderPath=PORTAL_ROOT_OBJECT.UCT_SS_APPL_GBL&IsFolder=false&IgnoreParamTempl=FolderPath%2cIsFolder

Their main website though is uct.ac.za. you can navigate from there if you like

For the fees it's about 120,000zar that's about 4-4.5M depending on the exchange rate.. It includes tuition, feeding and accommodation..

Good morning my people from South Africa, may the good Lord bless y'all for your good work, Amen. Please I needed gurus in the house to guide a brother. I am on vacation and luckily was issued 3 months South African Visit Visa on 21st of August which will expire on 20th of November 2018. "TO BE ADMITTED FOR A PERIOD OF (10) TEN DAYS ONLY" was written on my Visa. So when I got here on September 10th, the immigration officer stamped and wrote on it "VALID UNTIL" 2018/09/20, "CONDITIONS" visit. And my ticket shows that I would be staying for 30 days and he saw it. 2 days gone already and my questions are;
(1) What if I continued to stay for 30 days would that be an offense?
(2) If YES, is there a way to extend the stamp to 20 more days?
Some people said I should get a police report to cover my stay for the extra 20 days while most are saying that it's never a problem to stay for 30 days so long I won't exceed 3 month visa which was issued. They said I should go ahead and ignore the stamp, please I don't want anything that will affect me in the future or deny me access to South African Visa in future. Please my brothers and sisters guide me accordingly. God bless y'all Amen.

Let summarise it for you.

If you stay beyond the date stamped on your passport, you will chop ban (a few years) on your way out.

The visa you were issued clearly states that you can't stay beyond ten days.

Rebook your ticket and leave on the day your visa expires.

Thank you very much bro, it means I must not exceed that 10 days and have to rescheduled my ticket to the same 10 days discarding the 3 months stuff if I want to avoid future problems?. Secondly, can it extended by migration? If yes, do you know what might be the requirements? Thanks

1. Don't exceed ten days, return to Nigeria then you can explore your options which includes but not limited to

2. Via critical skills or via genuine spousal sponsorship
