Hello Gurus in the house.
Please l need some clarifications on the following as follows:

Firstly,
What are the steps and requirements for Accompanying Spouse Visa to SA? A family is planning to join the principal Applicant who has a work visa in South Africa.
Which form are they going to fill for the visa?
Are they going to fill different form each?

Secondly,
Is the Yellow Fever Certificate applicable to children between age 6 to 11 years? If not what do they required to take along (children)?

Thirdly,
Any other relevant information regarding the above will be appreciated.

Thanks and looking forward to response.

All the info you need are in the SA VFS website, just take your time and read it. Check the link below;

http://www.vfsglobal.com/southafrica/nigeria/relative.html

Just a quick one, The accompanying spouse need to apply for relative Visa and submit separate application.Yellow fever card is not required for children below 10yrs, their immunization card is used.Their birth certificate is required also.

Can someone please answer this? will one need a bank statement even if the person inviting will take responsibilities of the feeding and shelter. Thanks
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by paulavon: 10:05am On Sep 03, 2018
It is required that you provide all the needed documents in that list. There is no short cut. If you must travel you must take your time to plan and ensure you submit genuine documents.
If your friend his accomodating you then he needs to provide you his proof of residence. It will be easier for you to just book a hotel without paying and use it for your application, when you get your visa you can decide to live with your friend.
If your friend is sponsoring your trip,he should send you his bank statement with letter of sponsorship for you to submit along side other documents.

Hello guys, I'm a pretty young lad..i applied to Uni of Capetown and got two admission offers for two different courses in the same school.
1)Bsc(Eng) Mechatronics engineering
2)Bsc(Eng) Mechanical and mechatronics engineering
NB:Mechatronics is in the dept of electrical engineering while mech&mechatronics is in dept of mech engineering
Please I need your advice as to which I should go for...
Furthermore, school resumes next year January, when should I start the visa process?
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Diamond1960: 5:49pm On Sep 03, 2018
To my understanding, I see Bsc(Eng) Mechanical and mechatronics engineering is a two in one discipline which gives you two area of specialisation in one degree, unlike Bsc(Eng) Mechatronics engineering which is just one major. You can start your visa process as soon as possible if you have gotten needed admission letter from UCT. Cheers

I see you are not ready to get yellow fever card if you want to go get it from General hospital. you can go to any airport close to your location I'm sure they will have port health office there. Or better still go to any federal ministry of health office in your state or where you are based. Kindly tell us your location I'm sure someone on this platform will give you the closest office where you can get it.

Thank you so much I really appreciate the response.. I've done some research and I can see from your perspective. Definitely going with what you said..
About visa process..
I've got a few things..
Admission letter, yellow fever card, proof of finance and the likes.. But I really want some clarifications about some of the requirements
1)its stated that your passport must be valid for at least 30 days after your intended stay.my passport expires 2 years from now and I'm in for a four year program.. How do I go about this?
2)Can I have my medical and radiological report from a private hospital?
3)this one bothers me the most... I'm required to book a verifiable flight..how do I book a flight when I've not been given a visa...or how can I book a flight without paying for it??

Thanks in anticipation of your response...

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Diamond1960: 9:36pm On Sep 04, 2018
1. Most people do get visa till when their passport expires. But if you want to play smart you can go and get a new passport from Immigration that you misplace your passport. With that, you will be issued a new passport that will last you for 5 years.
1a. This will further lessen your stress of applying for a new passport in the case where the old one expires as well as an extension of your study visa.
1b. You will also able to get 4 years study visa directly on the new passport you will obtain from immigration office in Nigeria
2. You can do your medical and radiological report in any general, state or federal hospital
3. Don't be bothered booking a verifiable flight is just like booking a dummy flight itinerary prior to the time you will go to the embassy. You don't have to pay for such bookings. You can even do the booking as many time as you like. the detail will be sent to your email and once you don't pay after 24 hours it would automatically cancel.
Hope this feedback resolves your enquiries? Keep well.

Good day house.

I will like to make an enquiry for my friend who concluded his PhD in RSA in Criminology and graduated this year.

1. He is having issues on how to join a body in order to process his critical skill visa?
2. He said there are no bodies related to his field?
3. What body can he join?
4. What process can he take at securing a critical skill visa since he is a PhD holder from Republic of South Africa University?

YOUR HELP WILL BE OF GREAT IMPORTANT BECAUSE HE IS CONSIDERING OF APPLYING FOR VISITING VISA TO SA since his visa will be expiring soon.

Thanks I would do just as you said.. Please checkout the picture I attached which contains a dummy flight itinerary as you said.. I booked through KLM.. Is this the type you talking about? And is it valid for the embassy?

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Diamond1960: 3:32pm On Sep 05, 2018
Yes this is the type I talked about but most preferably try and use FLYSA https://www.flysaa.com/ and ensure you do the dummy itinerary few days to the time you will go to the embassy. It can also be a day to your submission of visa application. Certainly, it is valid for the embassy.

Hi e- family,
I must say I enjoyed my stay in south Africa. Its really a nice country and in fact my son told me he didn't want to come back to Nigeria.......
For those of us travelling on a low budget... MARATHON LODGE KESIGNTON is a good place you can stay.....its just 350rands per night with free WiFi all over, a clean swimming pool and a too reception.

Note that, it also central to everywhere.....

Lastly, please try and make payment to any hotel u want to lodge and come with your I.d. card cos the rate at which they were sending people back at d point of entry is high..

With respect to 1-3, it's not necessary beacuse gigaba issued a waiver for RSA Graduates who qualify for critical skills visa

4. check here http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/immigration-services/scarce-skills-work-permits

https://www.vfsglobal.com/dha/southafrica/critical-skills-visa.html

these are good starting points

If he can compile all the required documents while his study permit is still valid, he can submit while he's still in South Africa

I think someone here converted or is about to convert his student permit to critical skills. You can check through previous posts.

God will help us in Nigeria.
