You are right though, the issue is the business terrain is tough and driving in Lagos is not for the faint hearted and if you have not been exploited by LASTMA or Police before you won’t understand how to deal with them, coupled with how to position yourself tactically and all that.
Where do you reside anyway and do you have 30k upfront rent?

U sound like you need the 30k badly. I can loan you. U go just add interest on top. I m serious

That's his business terms. If you can't accept quit bullying.

Plenty of drivers pay upfront with no complain.

Anyway I don’t call it assurance deposit, I call it what it is: upfront rent, not arrears,or where do they pay rent in arrears in the world? Why others call it assurance deposit I don’t know. If you want to do rental arrangement for any asset, I think you have to pay that rent upfront based on your periodic arrangement. You won’t take a shop space and pay rent after you used it I believe you pay before usage. So people should call it what it is: rent and if it’s rent,it’s paid before using the asset: in this case the asset is the car.

Transportation business is total different from hiring. U pay upfront if u are to hire a car. And rentals is after usage.

Where did u hear that any type vehicle do pay upfront in this kind of business eg buses, tricycles, taxi on rentals pay at the end of each day, week or month.

Dont make it look like the upfront is the norms. When did u even start thinking of joining this business sef jjc

I was just unlucky today that I was getting only short trips. I had to call it a day when I saw the day wasn't going well.
Good luck!

Please the guys that use extended performance, is it the same normal filter that you use for 15k miles? Or do you change the filter at 5k intervals? (Is this even advisable?)

To my understanding the extended performance require an extended performance oil filter

Need to change filter or use extended performance filters. Personally I'd rather just change the regular filter.

After stumbling on this thread and reading about some of your challenges, I wanted to know if you guys would be interested in some sort of annual maintenance package for your cars. Maybe something like 6 oil changes, wiper blades, a brake pad change and fluids for your vehicle for one flat annual price? How much do you think would be fair/affordable for something like this you in your line? Do the math and let me know what you think and if it gains traction, I'll make it happen for Uber drivers only. When you have maintenance you just make an appointment and done.

If you work with taxify & have a driver that works for you, whom would you direct the request to.. the software can be manipulated to direct request to certain drivers, we can't rule out such scenarios.

Let me place this on Page 1000.

Drivers be diligent in your work, and don't take partners for granted.
Partners Decided to invest, they all have alternative means of income, without Ehailing they would invest in other forms of business.

Partners Provide good cars for the drivers, and learn to write off their debts once in a while so you don't Get High blood pressure grin

Drivers with me do pay advanced rentals too. Initially it wasn't so, but then partners instituted it when incidence of defaults became too high. Just to protect the Partner's investment. I have no qualms about it.

I think the most important thing is to be fair to all parties involved, and I try to ensure that at all times.

Firstly bro, I didn't read with the intention of writing an exam at the end. Also, it's so easy To go through the pages and give you the answer you need.

Secondly, If you had my reasons and circumstances, you would have no option but to read the pages.
