Please if I apply for Masters program do I need to use WES to verify my result?

WES converts your results to its Canadian equivalent while verification is done during conversion.
You will need WES only if it is stated among the application requirements of your school

Gooday guy!
Am planing for 2019 Fall resumption for a master's in canada (Pharmacy profession to be precise)... I just want to ask if I can start applying now or wait till it get closer....am think if I start contacting supervisor now and telling them 2019 Fall, they might see me as unserious....What do the veterans think
Also,
I dont have any proof of English proficiency cert. and since its well acclaimed that some schools in canada dont require for admission ...so i found usask(University of Saskatchewan) saying international student that trained with English are exempted from tending it, but on getting to my faculty and mailing for enquire they confirmed the cert. as a requirement for admission....
My question is since i don't no when i would be required to tender the result of the test(cert.), do i write the test first before applying (since its for 2019 Fall ), or i proceed to apply while I make plans to take the exams??

How will they state it? Is the 70% or other grade point requirement they often attach?

Some schools don’t require WES evaluated transcripts in canada as they prefer their in house evaluations.
However , more verified info can be gotten by maling the admissions office in your required school. If you already have you can make a request to the graduate program coordinator that you be allowed to apply with it. No harm in trial.

If WES is accepted by the school yes they can , if to request with a fee of course send the hard copy to your desired institution.
That is where saving cash comes in
Because in the average the cost of sending transcripts form WES is cheaper and less stressful than from most Nigerian schools
So WES saves you the stress and wahala of exams and records coupled with cash.
Like I said only if your school accepts it.

For schools that attach grade point as a criteria for admission, Isn't that where we need WES to convert the Nigeriagrade to Canada?

WES is not use to verify results rather it is use to evaluate transcripts. it's depends on your intended school whether you're to evaluate your transcripts or send the it directly to your school.
look for schools that will not require you to evaluate transcripts in order to save you some penny.

If a school already attached a grade point as a criteria for Admission, is that a subtle way of saying to applicant to evaluate there transcript by WES to no if they meet the grade point criteria ??

I guess CiC has not started reviewing applications for late June yet. The only June online applicant I have seen on this thread that either got a medical call or a refusal applied on June 11 or so.. we are all in your boat. Or can someone else proof me wrong on this?

Anyways, has your eligibility review started? If yes, it's enough reason to thank God on your application. Cos at least u can see a lil progress which some pple here have not seen. Bro, keep the fingers crossed and keep praying. It will end in praise..

However, I will like to advise to make possible preparations for deferral of admission. Because depending on your intended course of study and how knowledgeable u are, your chances of doing so well at the first term may be greatly affected if you resume late. Yes, last day of resumption might be 18,21 later for some peeps, its better not to harm your success chances. As i said tho.. it really depends on your course of study and knowledgeability.

Thank You

Intended masters course: Water Resources & Environmental Engineering
Am looking for funding too abeg.

I understand admission is pretty tight in Canada. Please suggest safe skools for my profile. Its pretty urgent pls cos am gunning for fall 19
You have a very good profile, so Google search all schools in Canada offering your intended course and start mailing profs in those schools whose research interest align with yours. You should get funding, just work on your SOP and send them your publication.... Best of luck

is not too early, the earlier the better... admission is first come first serve. I think some schools have open fall 2019 admission session on their website.
Concerning the English test, tell your faculty that you were taught with English language throughout your undergraduate studies, you may back it up with a letter attesting to it. if you are interested I have the attestation letter format, take it to your school and let your faculty officer or registrar sign and stamp it.

Check the school’s website , if it is not clearly stated then it is not needed. You can mail the admissions office to confirm also.

The 70 percent they state is their minimum standard for admission and doesn’t relate to WES in any way . Some schools have in house evaluators besides there is something they call international credentials equivalent on their website , there you will see the acceptable admission grade that matches your country.
Always in the school of graduate studies website.

Me too, but I understand this process takes sometime, especially in the peak periods of July/August. Let's be patient, hopefully, thing will pick up pace from now on as cases from June/July are finalised.

A sponsorship letter is a letter, written by the sponsor, usually containing;
1. Introduction of the sponsor
2. How he intends to fund the applicant (the amount he will provide every year, his business, properties......)
2. The relationship between the applicant and the sponsor
3. The reason for sponsoring the applicant
4. The sponsor can also put in a few good words, like how passionate the applicant is about the course of study.

The affidavit of sponsorship, is the actual declaration of sponsorship, where the sponsor swears to give out a specific amount of money to the applicant. It is usually done in a court.

GCMS note is a case specific note, written by the visa officer when he/she denies an application.
The note contains the exact reasons why the visa officer denies an application
. Please who is the letter of sponsorship addressed to? I was told it is addressed to the school where I gained admission but I’m not sure if that info is correct. Please, who should it be addressed to? Thanks

Good.

But can you also check your undergraduate school website.
School like University of Nigeria have a portal for test of English proficiency where the school will attest on your behalf and it will be signed by the registrar or so.
It just 5k .You can even collect via email or courier.

So I will advise you to check your school transcript portal first before writing an attestation letter.

It's just an advise, I think will be faster.
Because Nigerian uni are poor with documentation.
