A Catholic priest, Rev Fr. Jude Egbuom, was murdered by gunmen in Nkwerre in the Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State on Monday night. The attackers were reported to have made away with his vehicle.

The gunmen equally murdered a young man whose identity could not be ascertained immediately. The man was said to be with the priest in his vehicle when the criminals struck.

He was attacked around 8pm when he went to a barber’s shop on Anara-Nkwerre Road in Nkwerre town.

He reportedly resisted giving the car keys to his killers, which angered them.

The cleric was immediately shot together with the other victim in his vehicle ,while the criminals fled.

The priest until his death in charge of St Patrick’s Catholic Parish, Amucha, in the Njaba LGA of the state.

Why do people keep making this same mistake? Why argue with someone holding a gun who is not a police officer? Why refuse handing over a property that you can replace in the nearest future. Now you lost both your life and the car. Let's learn from peoples mistake.

Before you castigate him, you never can tell how it happened. The gunmen may not have shown him the gun immediately so he wouldn't have known they were armed.

Give them everything they want and send them on their damned way!

Why is that too hard?

You never bleeped a pussy, you never smoked weed, you never drank alchohol, but you choose to cut your life short.

Give armed men and thieves anything they want. Anything they want. Do not resist. You can buy a new car, you can buy a new phone, you can replace all they take from you, but life? You cannot replace life.

Had this same act happened in some other part of the country, the entire narrative on this thread would've been completely different.

Why resist giving them the key? The same car could have been recovered or better still another bought.

I learnt my lessons with my dad's death 11yrs ago. He resisted & he was shot.

So u believed that he held to his key hook line and sinker? Who was there to witness such thing? Even the guy in the car was also shot. So who told that part of the story? The criminals?

If true he delayed giving them the car key.... Not Ideal dragging issues with armed men that operates under the influence of tramadol.
