The recent statement by IPOB spokesperson on the recent sit at home order by the FG is all shades of wrong.

This further consolidates my initial stance on IPOB. They are just nothing but a group of misguided Igbo youths, most of whom are illiterates and heavily brainwashed. Nnamdi Kanu as a conman had to connect to something that resonates with every Igbo man and use that as a tool to steer most away from sanity.

The statement by emma powerful reads in part :

" Any person or persons found outside on September 14, 2018 will be recorded as an enemy of Biafra and dealt with accordingly. Such person or persons, along with their families, will face the eternal wrath and consequences of their actions. This IPOB generation will not forgive any act of treachery capable of derailing our march to freedom. "

Umunne m, Is this the sort of Biafra we want to have? A Biafra where a group of rascals would punish people for not adhering to their doltish declarations? What happens to free speech and freedom of association? So if i'm in Biafra and I don't agree with Emma powerful, My family and I would be what, beheaded, okwaya?

These sort of unguarded statements would only buy us more enemies than friends.

I want to state it again that IPOB and their group of rascals are on their own. IPOB do not represent the views of the common Igboman. They do not speak for the Igbo nation.

Putting IPOB and boko/taliban is gross misrepresentation. There are things that can't just happen in the east.

The thing is if IPOB is to achieve their goal, they'll have to be defiant to the government. And defiance takes going against the norm

Stop talking like a fool. What was said here that was bad?

That people should stay indoors? It is up to the people to obey that order or go out. Will IPOB drag people into their house if they come outside?

I don't know what is wrong with Nigerians. "Nnamdi Kanu said this, Nnamdi Kanu said that', 'IPOB said this, IPOB said that'.

People so concerned about what was said. WHAT DID THEY DO?

Have you heard that IPOB touched anyone? Have they killed anybody? Have they ever been armed? So the whole problem is that they talked?

Yet you live in a country where Boko Haram, Herdsmen and Niger Delta militants are no longer talking their mouths but with their AK47.

You live in a country where different armed bandits are killing people every blessed day

But your main headache is what IPOB or Kanu said or didn't say?

If you have nothing doing, try and get a job

You do not have any right as a group to brand someone an enemy of Biafra and declare punitive action on them and their families. That's some Taliban shii bro.

grin grin grin you are Igbo and so what? you must understand sit-at-home protest is not a crime and there is a need for Biafrans to adhere to this. From what I understand, Biafrans are mourning their dead same way Israelis, Russians etc usually mourn their dead annually. Please don't misinterpret people words and don't be an obstacle to your people. Many families lost their loved ones yet you write this with no sign of remorse, I'm a human with a conscience and I support them! I can never rejoice over the death of my worst enemies not to talk of people fighting for their freedom.

Meanwhile grin I thought "IPOB has been defeated," why the sudden tension over an ordinary sit-at-home?

Sit-at-home should be a personal decision. You don't enforce people against their will to sit at home. If I want to sit at home, fine. If I feel like not sitting at home, also fine. It's called freedom of expression and association man.

This is why the international community doesn't take Nigeria serious. Words mean more to a Nigerian than action while actions means far more to the international community than words

Learn the lesson today, people care about action, not words.

With all due respect sir if I may ask who is forcing people to stay at home, I can't believe you actually wrote that! Who? How? Is it Emma Powerful or IPOB members, I mean who? In all my life I have never seen the Igbo close their shops, workplace, companies etc if not for ONE UNIQUE thing FREEDOM|STAND AGAINST OPPRESSION! They did it years ago in Nasarawa when a young Igbo man was lynched although very few disobeyed this order but they were never harmed and they have been doing it...

E.g Imagine that your own people are mourning their dead by staying at home and you are not interested at all and even planning to host a party, isn't that odd? How would you feel if one of those killed last year was one of your loved ones? Please learn to co-operate with your people and because nobody knows tomorrow...

Go back and read the statement by emma powerful.

I am protesting of course. But protest should be based on individual convictions not enforced. Don't intimidate me into sitting at home if I don't want to. I've been in the east during several sit at home orders right from the time of MASSOB and I know how these things are.

when IPOB is beginning to take powers into their hands, to determine who should come out and who shouldn't then they should be proscribed. They are overstepping their boundaries and the sooner we stop them, the better for everyone.

There's a huge difference between supporting Biafra and supporting IPOB. Biafra is a worthy course but IPOB is just a group of miscreants. Learn to differentiate the two man.
