Awuuga:Awuuga, 1-)Your mother's financial establishment is sufficient only if she doesn't have much dependents to cater for. Please make sure she gets a reference letter from the bank stating that she's the sole signatory to this company account. 2-) I don't think it's important for her to transfer money to your personal account, reasons because she is your biological mother and it's generally known by the Visa officers that parents can't leave their children stranded in a foreign country. Transferring of funds is a good option when you're making use of third party sponsorship, those who are not close relative (uncle, aunt, company or employer) to evidence funds accessibility to the applicant. Hence, your mom already paid first term tuition is adequate to proof her financial commitment. It's left for you, If you want her to effect the transfer... Fine!, but it's not compulsory. Even if she wants to, let it be in a dorm account to show that funds are already in convertible currency and can be easily exported to Canada when your TRV is approved. All the best! |

makano:I do not think this has anything to do with the VO's mood. The system makes it possible for them to refuse Nigerians visa with flimsy excuses. An ICCRC certified Attorney once told me that over 85% of Nigerian applicants are being denied Canadian Study visa. I suppose these VOs are given monthly quotas and once they meet their monthly target they cast die or do oje-koje to decide on who to approve/deny visa. The system has been designed to create wealth for Canada's economy. |

mightyola:Guy this your profile is super tight. Please don't let the VO's conclusion about your application deter you in any way. It is well |

joe10:There is no qouta, so far someone meets the minimum criteria and requirements , you have a 70 percent chance of getting your TRV .some people don't go you school after getting the study permit and some find it difficult to pay tuition fees and they submitted bank statements with big closing balance. We are a third world country and they know we might not come back after the program . Most experienced professionals dont come back if they have visas to all these first world countries. |

emeify:Yes! I think RA/TA category are also countable to 20 hours per week for international students regardless of their funding. That reminds me, How have you been doing over there Ma? It's been a while. |

Toritseyemi:Wondering if it is a quota / slot system.. otherwise why wouldn't they use the resources used to reply your mail to send the Letter of Approval? Frustrating... Planning becomes so difficult as everything is hanging in the air! |

Linzo:Thank you for this. Could you assist with the requirements to study Nursing or Pharmacy in Canada and links to institutions with low tuition? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Frankrobbn1: 7:55pm On Sep 13, 2018 |
Awuuga:Are these number of persons (5) still under her care? If there are some that are already married or working in their respective offices, then her financial resources is sufficient. Moreover, the era of insufficient funds for CIC has passed, you're left with a big task to convince the visa officer beyond reasonable doubt that your intent of travelling to Canada is strictly for studies and would leave after your authorized stay by providing sufficient ties back home. |

Toritseyemi:Congrats!! Only a matter of time before your approval shows up. I have had a hard time too contacting CIC lately. No response. They are not hard-pressed concerning people whose school has started. They indifferent to our pains cos they don't walk in our shoes. They just take their sweet time it appears. I am dealing with someone presently who travelled on a visitor's visa and visitor visa got converted to student visa at POE. I met him here in the house and happy to hook you up to him if you are interested. But I will advise you really wait for CIC and I am expecting your visa to be out very very soon. You will have to resume another one week or two weeks at most, extremely late. Better late than never. Or if your deferral lifeline is not all used up, you might want to defer to winter. Ps: I have decided henceforth to seriously reduce my contributions in the discussions here. It is apparent many people come here come with a feeling of entitlement to the information they are getting here. And at the end of the day, they don't appreciate it. Henceforth, I will chip in only to the most serious questions possed here. A couple of times a week henceforth will be my just service. |

Linzo:Can you please say what you know?? Getting into an MD or DO school in Canada is tough for Canadians. Most of them actually apply to US medical schools. One of the reasons a foreigner won't be considered is finance. Medical school can cost as much as $400k/year..that is 120million naira per year. Most Canadians attend Medical schools on loans.. Pharmacy school cost roughly the same.. Getting in is also very competitive. The vast majority of Canadians are in US pharmacy schools.. Optometry is also the same.. I think (not sure about this) that Canada has just two optometry school. Least I forget. Medicine,Dentistry, pharmacy, optometry and even law are all postgraduate programs. You require a bachelor's degree to get in... |

Good evening folks. I have been a vivid follower of this thread for some months now. To think i actually took my time to read some of the past Thread from the beginning to the end was "insane"( i ended up frying my eyes in the process). I have some questions which i would love you guys to help me with! 1)when does the registrations for fall 2019 starts?no info as of yet from all the schools i have searched. 2)i have a B.SC in biochem. Would it be wise to go for a business related course as a PGD route or biochem related course. More questions as we proceed. Thanks |

Ayoola222:Your sister can't get into pharmacy school If she doesn't have a bachelor's degree.. Getting into a nursing program might be very difficult if not impossible... I would advise she tries any of the life/health sciences, then switch programmes when she gets to Canada.. If this part doesn't work out.. She could do the 2year graduate option for those with bachelor's... Midwifery in Canada is an excellent field. More autonomy than nursing... She should consider it. |
