I am concerned at the rate of Administrative Processing in recent times. Is it that we are so fraudulent they have to check every of our statements/documents now? Soon we all will be quick to abuse the government and forget to ask how we have also added to the pains of those who are genuine. We abuse privileges too much in my opinion.

Hello house,
Hello great gurus in the house,
Had my interview last month and was placed on AP(abj embassy) my interview went well and the VO collected my passport. A week after while tracking my passport my satus changed from AP to Refused.

Hence,I got my passport at Dhl office(VI) a week after, they attached two slips paper:
1. Pink deny paper 214b
2. Section 212(a)(6)(C)(I)-for fraud and misrepresentation of material fact. With a pen indicating FAKE BANK DOCUMENTS

I later confirmed from my uncle the bank statement was not genuine that he paid someone to arrange it,from recent trends here I want to confirm how I will know if am banned already, coz the slips they gave me didn’t indicate the years I duration for my ban,how will I get to know if I am ban and how soon can I reapply ?

Please great gurus in the house, kindly assist with legit info ?

Oga Gboyega, you see why cases of AP would continue and getting Visas would only get tough right. We are cheats, it is our nature. I had a meeting with a lawyer here last month and she told me that the US doesn't trust documents from Nigeria because it has higher chances of being fake. The reputation is already damaged and it is getting worse.

I was chatting with two of my course mates the other day, a Chinese and an Indian, they were both issued visas for five years while I was issued for two years and stamped in as D/S. We are all pursuing a STEM MBA, meaning that we can be in the US for five years potentially.

So many faults in your transcript o

First why this school: Say something academically peculiar to this school that you won't get in another school. You need to be specific on this. Talk about the laboratory Instruments available to you in this school etc.
This is not the time to talk about affordability, speed of response, non automated human relations, cool environment and the likes

Error 2: Never apply to a program that can be done online in the same school. it's a big turn off

Error 3: How did you forget an important embassy interview document.

We don't know how low is your tuition. It must have been so low for the VO to remark about it. And don't tell a VO that is complaining about how low your tuition is, that the low tuition is affordable.

In my opinion, change your school, apply to a program that can only be done on campus, don't forget your documents and work on "why did you choose this school" and maybe "why this program".

N/B: If you did not write GRE, now might be the best time to do so

Good morning Pals,

I have went for my interview in last month at Lagos Embassy and i was delayed.

it was disappointing show for me and the tension was craxy mehn.

I aint gonna be apportion blame but ensure you already have your documents before you go so you dont panic.

My delayed transcript

Me: Good morning
VO: Where are you going to in the US
Me: Minnesota
VO: Where course
Me: Engineering management
VO: What would this course do for you
Me: It would help me get promotion in my office and i began to stutter, voice shaking and all
VO: Do you work?
Me: Yes
VO: Where do you work?
Me: ......
VO: What is your role there?
Me: Am the HOD of the safety department and i cant remeber the next rubbish i said
the VO was like eh

Then the famous pink paper bla bla.

I just calm down and collected the paper and saw myself out

Now i have defied my admission, for spring and my i20 is ready for pick up

I need help with getting to pay eshipglobal for the shipment.

Somebody please help, i want to re-fire and be prepared better before i go again this time

Thanks in advance

Let me try to do this
First try to talk with more specifics

where are you going to in the US?
You are going to XYZ University in ABC, Minnesota. Just saying Minnesota does not cut it for me o. I mean the VO already had the information, because she has your i20 and your DS-160 you filled, so they have a reason for asking you this question

Secondly, your response to "What will this course do for you" is too weak. How will this course help you to get promoted in your workplace?? Obviously it's because of 'xyz' knowledge and 'abc' skills that you will be getting from the program. It's this 'xyz' knowledge and 'abc' skills that the VO wants to hear

Thirdly, to conquer stuttering, u need more practice. Practice before a mirror, get someone also going for interview and both of you can practice via watsapp call. Practice till your response becomes part of you.

"Finally, "What is your role at work"? You are the HOD is not a job function. And you can't remember what the rest rubbish you said?? These VOs are people that think too o, and they can smell lies too. The VO probably wanted to hear your job description. Do you climb poles at work, do you clean toilets?. These are what the VO was waiting to hear.

Your case is an open and close book. Your errors are glaring. You need to work on this and more embassy interview questions before you go near the embassy again

Hello guys (everyone and guru in the house), my friend introduced me to this thread I followed some transcript and I learn some things

I had my interview 6:30am this morning (September 13), after going through the usual checking and stuffs with biometrics. It was time for interview. I was interview by a woman in window 6 she fresh but doesn't look like she's in her early 20s (that no concern me though)

There's a guy in my front, I heard their conversation it was fine, their interview was 5-7 minutes (wasn't sure but even tey unlike others) but she denied him. I was the next and the second to be interviewed by the woman. There's a guy in Window 7 with headphone with the mic up (maybe e dey listen to music ah no know), he was just denying people going for masters anyhow, his interview with each applicant didn't take up to 1 min)

Meanwhile it was late when I discovered the guy that helped me with the stuff did stupid mistake and he didn't ask me, he just put what he liked. I graduated November 2017 but this guy put April and my notification of result indicates November. I called him to give me login details several times but he never did and won't change it, they guy did the stuff just anyhow. So didn't know what to do so I planned if they asked me when I graduated I'll just say 2017

My transcript goes thus:
Me: Good morning, how are you this morning
VO: Good morning (Madam no dey smile)
*scanned my barcode*
VO: Where are you going to in the US?
Me: Stanton University in California
VO: What are you going for?
Me: To further my education in Master of Business Administration and Management
VO: why did you choose this school?
Me: It's one of the best business administration school in California, they only have BA for both their Masters and Bachelor's degree so...
*VO cuts in*
Vo: so you mean to tell me you chose the school because they offer the program you want?
Me: No, actually they have an education delivery system of democratic process in which their students comes first and they have a diverse multi ethinics and multi cultural population which is good for business as I'll be able to meet people from...
*VO cuts in* (dunno weytin she dey think that time, she then looked at me)
Me: So you mean you want this school because they are democratic? (she said it with one kind of curiosity funny face or she was annoyed, I wasn't sure)
*For my mind I know I don jonz somehow, is this woman a republican or something, madam ah no dey talk politics na*
Me: No wait, I can explain better
*Vo cuts in*
VO: That doesn't really matters...(don forget weytin she talk after that but it's something like make we free the matter)
VO: When did you graduate?
Me: 2017
VO: What field?
Me: Statistics
Vo: When did you finish your NYSC?
Me: I haven't done NYSC yet because I want to further and by the time I'm done, I'll be coming back to Nigeria for the service and since I'll be taking over my dad's business, he's company would be my PPA after 3 weeks camping...
*VO cuts in*
VO: From the date you graduated you should be done with your service by now or still serving...
(I didn't know maybe I should tell her I graduated November, 'cause if it's November it's very feasible 'cause some of my mates are yet to be mobilize by now, so I Sha no talk mama Sha press computer for a while and issue me blue paper e pain me but I just commot Sha)

So I think it's that NYSC thing that turned her off, close to 20 people did before me (people from other queues included) and none was given except one old woman going for visiting, no Masters students was given but that doesn't matter cos I didn't see that could be the reason why I was denied.

I'm thinking of reapplying but I no get interest again for now so I want to defer my admission till another quarter.
My question is; is there anything wrong with my answer? And when reapplying, can I put the correct date that I graduated which is November 2017 or I should make it April ('cause my notifications of results stated I finished exams (graduated) November 2017 and it was issued March 2018, cos school had issue then so they went on strike that's why it wait till March)

Help me out on this.

First, In my opinion, the fact that you have not attended NYSC was not the deciding factor in your case. Some people have gotten visas on this thread for Msc without doing NYSC. The VO had already made up his/her mind to deny you before the interview got to that NYSC point. And don't try to change your graduation date, it might lead to "misrepresentation of information" as they already have the initial date your agent entered for you.

Secondly, "your why this school is so weak. The VO even made it known to you by cutting you off twice, before ending the interview with "it doesn't matter. The rest question was just for documentation sake. While practising, did Your response to "why this school even" sound like a good reason to your ear that would make a student choose the school over more than 2000 schools in the US??
You need to be specific on this. Talk about the laboratory Instruments available to you in this school, equipments, interactive communication sessions, current trend in mathematical and statistical analysis that you will utilize in this school and that you won't easily access in other schools. Please don't go and use this my examples o, try and get something peculiar to MBA and talk about it.

I hope I made some sense.

Hello, Good morning,
Hope we all are good.
I'm new here and I was introduced by a friend current at Cleveland uni, she said the here made her scale through at the visa interview.

Anyways, let me share my story.
Since 2016, I have been trying to travel to the states through a student visa(F1) but they kept on denying and rejecting me till this moment. In fact the last time I went the VO asked me questions upon answering everything she just said "I apologize for we are not able to issue you the visa at this time please try again and refer your questions to this" she handed me the normal blue coloured paper. I paused and asked her if she can please give me a stronger reason why I was rejected or denied, she said she can't say it's confidential and it's a protocol... I just smiled and said thank you and left... However that last time was the 4th trial and this admission has been given to me since 2016 ....i don't know how to detail my myself about this travel issue... I don't know if I was marked or something else... I have tried Lagos and Abuja embassy, it was fruitless...
Please can someone help me!!!
I feel your pain....if u can remember you last two interview communication,u can upload it here let ppl help you. Also did u bring any fake documents?

Finally, my sponsor is my Uncle in the US and a friend said it’s better not to use him as a sponsor because it might lower my chances at the embassy, how true is it?
I look forward to helpful responses. Thank you

Hello house.. Who can give an advice on what to do please. I was denied the first time because of an outrageous tuition fee. Only my dad can take care of the whole expenses but the vo said he believes am a genuine student but doesn't think I can for afford d fee. The fee is roughly 39k USD and I went with a bank statement of 24mil naira. He went in for some minutes with the bank statement (I don't know what he went to do), he returned it immediately he got back and asked what mum does and the number of siblings I have. My assumption was that he was thinking maybe we would go bankrupt after paying the fee. I didn't argue and I left. I don't want to show desperation by applying to a cheaper school. I got admission to one cheaper school tho but it won't help me on the job at all, the first school with the outrageous tuition fee gave me a concentration that would be directly on the job when am back in naija.
My question is this, can I reapply again with the same school, but this time I want to go with three bank statements, my main sponsor which is my dad(40% of d fee) ,uncle is willing to help too (35%), lastly my boss at work with the company account and a letter of support.
Meanwhile I want to send only my Dad soa to the school.
Opinions please
Yes...I think u should do that

If the V.O notice you stammer, will most likely be more patient with you. This doesn't mean you shouldn't give good response to questions been asked of you.

The guy said he was looking down all through his interview because he was a stammerer and he still got his visa.

No fake documents... Jezz, can't do that.
Well the first interview, the VO asked
VO: what's your purpose of travelling?
Me: for studies
VO: how do you got to know about the school?
Me: through my elder brothers friend
VO: who's your brother
Me: he's my sponsor called his name with some other explanation
Vo: when did he travel to America
Me: he's a banker I goes often for business
VO: know I mean Mr uche(uche is my uncle who stays and work in America, I used his name in my ds 160 because I was asked if I had any relative staying their)
Me: I became dumbfounded because I list expected the question of family members, and I started explaining my relation with uche the VO kept on asking question
Vo: which school did he study at
Vo: how long has he been in America
Vo: what dose he do
Vo: wow... It's a pity you don't know you brother too well that's bad... Then the blue papers and the try again grammar
Me: almost about to cry with a straight face working out disappointed .. ..

The second interview.. My DS160 has expired so I didn't get to meet with the VO, the lady checking in turned me back and rescheduled
Then the next appointment I missed it because my SOA did not arrive earlier.

The 4th one was at Lagos with the 1million people attending, after checking in...
VO: can I have your passport?
Me: yes of course, morning to you, nice outfit..
VO: thanks dear
Vo: what's your purpose of traveling
Me: for studies
Vo: what's the name of the school
Me: McLennan community college
Vo: how did you get to know about
Me: it's through online search and my uncle suggested it
VO: why did you chose the school
Me: because they recorded a great remarks on bio medical course among other schools in Texas with great reception and audience from the student coordinator(amanda straten) with a good atmosphere and it's location located towards the northern river of something something like that with noteable alumni like bla..bla bla..
Vo: why did you choose bio-medical course..
Me: it effect in Morden medicine which has not been incoroprated in Nigeria health sector bla bla bla....
Vo: what courses will you be undertaking
Me: us English 101..maths, 112..maths 102 history.. 101 etc
VO: did take any international exam?
Me: no
Did you apply to other schools and which one
Me: yes.. I started naming the schools...
VO... With the blue paper and their normal try again later grammar...
Me: sorry if I may ask, why the denial?
VO: sorry it's confidential
Me: did I say anything improper?
Vo: No,its confidential and protocol!
Me: thanks and have a great day...
Vo: smiled.. You are welcome

This has been my experience..

If you finished high school since 2005, there is a very high probability you are older than 23 at this time. Thus, there is a need to convince the VO of your genuine interest in seeking education and not relocating abroad. That said, I would suggest you change your program to a 4year undergraduate program, write and ace both SAT and ACT, and then apply into a Honors Program where you can get a very good funding before you re-apply.

@gboyegaD I'm 31, the course I choose has only one university that under takes it here in Nigeria and it's poorly managed and equipped.. If I travel and Acquires the knowledge and get back to Nigeria don't you know I'm one of a kind? Secondly, why will I use fake documents when I know the the implications.
Thirdly, won't I be denied if I change my school or programme because the system will show my log making the VO think I'm desperate
Fouthly, do you think TOLFEL will be more preferably?
Do you think my age is an obstruction...

I wanted that 2year course because I want to get back to Nigeria and engage in my family business using that acquired knoweldge to create a good venture for my family ...
If your advice is good... I will go for mid-western State University, the same course bio-medical and bio-medical engineering ...

I just don't know what else to do, I deferred the admission to fall 2019, but if from my previous comment you can point out other errors it will be of great help

Thanks

The challenge as I said is convincing the VO you are genuine and a good way is to show you are well equipped for the program. Good to know the program isn't well offered in Nigeria thus, your need to pursue it abroad however, what is the return on your investment with an AS? The family business you want to come improve, is it a biomedical venture?

Just forget the admision and apply to a proper University. It will be a herculean task to convince a VO with your age. Additionally, a 2 year diploma will do nothing exceptional for you in Nigeria. That story won't cut it.

Every dick and harry will pick a Nigerian 4year degree graduate over an American 2years community college degree. You need to actually plan properly. To be honest with you, you seem like an immigrant, if I can see that, a VO can too, more or less a trained one.

It is what it is. We are lazy and try to find alternatives/short cut to success. All we usually want is to show off in the name of testimony in our churches/mosques.

As for the Visa issuance, it has to do with bilateral agreements. I guess the agreement between them and us on Visa issuance is 2years.

Please house gurus, I really need answers on this bothering me and I hope to get a reply from anyone as I will keep checking through the thread for my next step. I am looking forward to apply for my masters in agronomy(agriculture) and I want to know if it's compulsory for me to have GRE, or is it just a requirements by individual universities while some won't need it so I can know if I have to think of writing GRE or GMAT and the likes.
Thanks
