I am concerned at the rate of Administrative Processing in recent times. Is it that we are so fraudulent they have to check every of our statements/documents now? Soon we all will be quick to abuse the government and forget to ask how we have also added to the pains of those who are genuine. We abuse privileges too much in my opinion. 7 Likes |

Noblefresh: GboyegaD: Oga Gboyega, you see why cases of AP would continue and getting Visas would only get tough right. We are cheats, it is our nature. I had a meeting with a lawyer here last month and she told me that the US doesn't trust documents from Nigeria because it has higher chances of being fake. The reputation is already damaged and it is getting worse. I was chatting with two of my course mates the other day, a Chinese and an Indian, they were both issued visas for five years while I was issued for two years and stamped in as D/S. We are all pursuing a STEM MBA, meaning that we can be in the US for five years potentially. 2 Likes |

So many faults in your transcript o First why this school: Say something academically peculiar to this school that you won't get in another school. You need to be specific on this. Talk about the laboratory Instruments available to you in this school etc. This is not the time to talk about affordability, speed of response, non automated human relations, cool environment and the likes Error 2: Never apply to a program that can be done online in the same school. it's a big turn off Error 3: How did you forget an important embassy interview document. We don't know how low is your tuition. It must have been so low for the VO to remark about it. And don't tell a VO that is complaining about how low your tuition is, that the low tuition is affordable. In my opinion, change your school, apply to a program that can only be done on campus, don't forget your documents and work on "why did you choose this school" and maybe "why this program". N/B: If you did not write GRE, now might be the best time to do so 4 Likes |

Temisan2015: Let me try to do this First try to talk with more specifics where are you going to in the US? You are going to XYZ University in ABC, Minnesota. Just saying Minnesota does not cut it for me o. I mean the VO already had the information, because she has your i20 and your DS-160 you filled, so they have a reason for asking you this question Secondly, your response to "What will this course do for you" is too weak. How will this course help you to get promoted in your workplace?? Obviously it's because of 'xyz' knowledge and 'abc' skills that you will be getting from the program. It's this 'xyz' knowledge and 'abc' skills that the VO wants to hear Thirdly, to conquer stuttering, u need more practice. Practice before a mirror, get someone also going for interview and both of you can practice via watsapp call. Practice till your response becomes part of you. "Finally, "What is your role at work"? You are the HOD is not a job function. And you can't remember what the rest rubbish you said?? These VOs are people that think too o, and they can smell lies too. The VO probably wanted to hear your job description. Do you climb poles at work, do you clean toilets?. These are what the VO was waiting to hear. Your case is an open and close book. Your errors are glaring. You need to work on this and more embassy interview questions before you go near the embassy again 10 Likes |

Petersburg94: First, In my opinion, the fact that you have not attended NYSC was not the deciding factor in your case. Some people have gotten visas on this thread for Msc without doing NYSC. The VO had already made up his/her mind to deny you before the interview got to that NYSC point. And don't try to change your graduation date, it might lead to "misrepresentation of information" as they already have the initial date your agent entered for you. Secondly, "your why this school is so weak. The VO even made it known to you by cutting you off twice, before ending the interview with "it doesn't matter. The rest question was just for documentation sake. While practising, did Your response to "why this school even" sound like a good reason to your ear that would make a student choose the school over more than 2000 schools in the US?? You need to be specific on this. Talk about the laboratory Instruments available to you in this school, equipments, interactive communication sessions, current trend in mathematical and statistical analysis that you will utilize in this school and that you won't easily access in other schools. Please don't go and use this my examples o, try and get something peculiar to MBA and talk about it. I hope I made some sense. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Flaame:You No fake documents... Jezz, can't do that. Well the first interview, the VO asked VO: what's your purpose of travelling? Me: for studies VO: how do you got to know about the school? Me: through my elder brothers friend VO: who's your brother Me: he's my sponsor called his name with some other explanation Vo: when did he travel to America Me: he's a banker I goes often for business VO: know I mean Mr uche(uche is my uncle who stays and work in America, I used his name in my ds 160 because I was asked if I had any relative staying their) Me: I became dumbfounded because I list expected the question of family members, and I started explaining my relation with uche the VO kept on asking question Vo: which school did he study at Vo: how long has he been in America Vo: what dose he do Vo: wow... It's a pity you don't know you brother too well that's bad... Then the blue papers and the try again grammar Me: almost about to cry with a straight face working out disappointed .. .. The second interview.. My DS160 has expired so I didn't get to meet with the VO, the lady checking in turned me back and rescheduled Then the next appointment I missed it because my SOA did not arrive earlier. The 4th one was at Lagos with the 1million people attending, after checking in... VO: can I have your passport? Me: yes of course, morning to you, nice outfit.. VO: thanks dear Vo: what's your purpose of traveling Me: for studies Vo: what's the name of the school Me: McLennan community college Vo: how did you get to know about Me: it's through online search and my uncle suggested it VO: why did you chose the school Me: because they recorded a great remarks on bio medical course among other schools in Texas with great reception and audience from the student coordinator(amanda straten) with a good atmosphere and it's location located towards the northern river of something something like that with noteable alumni like bla..bla bla.. Vo: why did you choose bio-medical course.. Me: it effect in Morden medicine which has not been incoroprated in Nigeria health sector bla bla bla.... Vo: what courses will you be undertaking Me: us English 101..maths, 112..maths 102 history.. 101 etc VO: did take any international exam? Me: no Did you apply to other schools and which one Me: yes.. I started naming the schools... VO... With the blue paper and their normal try again later grammar... Me: sorry if I may ask, why the denial? VO: sorry it's confidential Me: did I say anything improper? Vo: No,its confidential and protocol! Me: thanks and have a great day... Vo: smiled.. You are welcome This has been my experience.. |

GboyegaD: @gboyegaD I'm 31, the course I choose has only one university that under takes it here in Nigeria and it's poorly managed and equipped.. If I travel and Acquires the knowledge and get back to Nigeria don't you know I'm one of a kind? Secondly, why will I use fake documents when I know the the implications. Thirdly, won't I be denied if I change my school or programme because the system will show my log making the VO think I'm desperate Fouthly, do you think TOLFEL will be more preferably? Do you think my age is an obstruction... I wanted that 2year course because I want to get back to Nigeria and engage in my family business using that acquired knoweldge to create a good venture for my family ... If your advice is good... I will go for mid-western State University, the same course bio-medical and bio-medical engineering ... I just don't know what else to do, I deferred the admission to fall 2019, but if from my previous comment you can point out other errors it will be of great help Thanks |

Ogakings: The challenge as I said is convincing the VO you are genuine and a good way is to show you are well equipped for the program. Good to know the program isn't well offered in Nigeria thus, your need to pursue it abroad however, what is the return on your investment with an AS? The family business you want to come improve, is it a biomedical venture? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by femi312: 2:02pm On Sep 14, 2018 |
Ogakings:Just forget the admision and apply to a proper University. It will be a herculean task to convince a VO with your age. Additionally, a 2 year diploma will do nothing exceptional for you in Nigeria. That story won't cut it. Every dick and harry will pick a Nigerian 4year degree graduate over an American 2years community college degree. You need to actually plan properly. To be honest with you, you seem like an immigrant, if I can see that, a VO can too, more or less a trained one. 1 Like |

Northeastern: It is what it is. We are lazy and try to find alternatives/short cut to success. All we usually want is to show off in the name of testimony in our churches/mosques. As for the Visa issuance, it has to do with bilateral agreements. I guess the agreement between them and us on Visa issuance is 2years. |
