Thanks for your response.

So should I write my previous dallas hosts details under

"Do u have any other relatives in the US"?

chibertha:
Irrespective of the fact that the Houston host has your last name which might be a coincidence
That said
Are you related ,
if yes state it as it is.
Let's say you just found out the person was there or just got there.

If not related state business.
That is what I would do.

Please mamas in the house, am in a fix in my hubbys Ds-160 form it required for city and state and Country.
I chose Ikorodu as City, Lagos as state and Nigeria as country of birth. But when i submitted it for him it shows on the confirmation page just ikorodu Nigeria but removed the Lagos there. And on my hubbys passport place of birth is Lagos pls would there be a problem when he submits at the embassy. Should he quickly fill another ds160 form before he books his appointment date. Pls someone reply asap. Thank you. @Justwise and all mamas please kindly respond.

Akorkor:

I think you should always be consistent when dealing with US visa form filling. However, if there are some changes in your host, you should state it with explanation i.e if there is a space for explanation. All the best

She has been to Ghana and Dubai. She has been denied us visa earlier this year. Reason is not enough ties.

Hello people.. I went for a follow up interview at the Lagos embassy yesterday. Visa was approved.

Not many questions were asked but all my documents were checked including itemized bills.
The rate of refusal was very intimidating..i was there for over an hour and only about 2 or 3 visas were approved! Blue papers were flying all over.

My advice to returning moms please stay away from hospitals that dont itemize services and also low priced ones.

All the best to everyone. BTW who has travelled at 38 weeks with Delta recently? Na my case be that oo. God dey!

Want to thank you all for your contribution to this thread. Gave birth last year June and also on another missionary journey. Came in through the dreadful Houston POE, was sent for secondary inspection and only questions asked was why I'm I here and my last bills
Gave him my bills and he went through each and every one of them and told me he'll update my records that my bills were paid but I should make sure I do pay my bills for my baby too. Took about 30 min in all. So I don't think people should be scared of coming through IAH, no docs correspondence or money were asked. I hope this helps someone.

Since you are no longer going for childbirth, you should fill another form to tally with your present circumstance. Fill and change the form.

Congrats! Please did they raise any eye brows about any discount received by the hospital? I went for follow up and the VO kept saying he must see itemized bill but itemized bill I have has a huge discount. Hope its not an issue and no risk of it being said that the discount was borne by tax payers.

Thanks for the feedback and happy birthday. Please like how much on the average do you have on the personal bank statements for two of you.
My monthly salary is less than 200k, my wife own is around 300k even though I earn more than her per annum, I receive bulk payments and plenty allowances from time to time. The missionary trip will be co-founded by the two of us and most of the money is on Mutual Funds investment. Or should I liquidate the investment and have the money seating pretty in our accounts? Cos with constant transfer to save money in mutual funds, there is hardly anything on our personal accounts.

Thank you.

Don't make the mistake I made. I had two interviews where the money in the mutual funds were not even looked at. I transferred the money to my account and I got the visa.

No they didn't raise eyebrows. I showed the letter that states package price for self pay and told her the bill was prepaid else I would not have been eligible.

Since I have all the time in my hands waiting for my LO and in the spirit of giving back, I'll be sharing my experience.
I arrived the dreaded Houston IAH 2 weeks ago with no issues with immigration and wasn't sent for secondary checking. The immigration officer even jokingly asked if I came in with gari, beans or egusi. I was just laughing thinking my Naija sisters don reach here.
Kept my appointment at Dr X. Office the next day and paid his fees, epidural as well as hospital's fee. They don't give medal for pain so I came prepared for epidural. The accomodation I got is quite close to HNWMC and very comfortable.
Mamas in the house, please from which store can I get bottle sterilizer with Nigerian voltage? I don't want to be using step down with it in Nigeria.
