Okay, thanks a lot. I work far north so I intend to travel to Lagos in November so I should be able to get 2-3 letters of recommendation from my supervisor and lecturers which I will take back with me and keep till when needed. Who gives statement of purpose please and what's it about.please kindly help me with the list of documents I should make available with me since I have no clue.
Thanks alot
It doesn't work that way really. The LoR is not something you submit yourself except maybe for special cases. Everything is done online. The only thing you're supposed to do is provide the email addresses and job designations of your recommenders (usually from two past lecturers and one from work - it varies though). Your recommenders would be sent online forms to fill, after which they'd write letters that highlight your readiness for the programme through the experience of once having you as their student or employee.

People make travels for this when their recommenders aren't computer savvy or are taking time to do their bit, so they go help them through to make it faster.

I'd strongly advise you start disturbing your recommenders as this part of the application could take a very long time to complete, no thanks to unserious recommenders. Anyway, just find your way around it.

As for the statement of purpose, you're the one who's suppose to do that. Browse the internet and look through as many examples as you can. Deep down yourself, you should know why you're opting for the course you're aiming to study. Don't duplicate another person's own please. Americans do not tolerate plagiarism.

You should check your programme's requirements to know what documents you'd be needing to make your application complete.

I hope that was helpful.

Hy.
I'm CHUKWUEMEKA by name. actually I'm still an undergraduate but hoping earnestly to further my education in US.
There is one thing that has been bothering me.
It's my passport. I have a passport already, but the problem is that the DATE OF BIRTH on my passport is not same as the one on my other documents. The error occurred when I was registering for the passport, a wrong and inconsistent birth certificate was used. Now I've gotten the right one and also a sworn affidavit.
Please how do I go about effecting the change of DATE OF BIRTH on my passport.

please i need help. Thank you.

I'm glad you've taken the right step in correcting your data, and I'll be very honest with you.

Correction of data (date of birth especially) on your international passport can only be done in Abuja, and nowhere else in Nigeria. Don't allow anybody tell you otherwise.

You'd have to go to the immigration office in Abuja. The Glass House to be precise.

Thing is that you'll pay more for your data to be changed (about 4 times or more what you paid to get it in the first place). I was there last week to change my data. In my case, my birth month was incorrect.

What I did was send my documents bearing my correct birth month to my friend who works at immigrations, including a letter stating the incorrect and correct months. I travelled to Abuja last week for my capture and returned same day. My passport is in my city now but just hasn't gotten to my house yet. I'll go pick it up tomorrow or pay to have it brought to my house.

I'll advise you get the right person to do it for you so you aren't swindled off many hundreds of thousand.

But my challenge now is that am a northerner while she is a Yoruba, no relationship between us. How do I go about it during interview?

UK is easy and straight forward.
The money (Tuition, accomodation and upkeep) has to be in your account and they have no business with an individual sponsor. Some schools even demand you pay the tuition before issuing you the CAS that forms part of your documentation for visa application.
So no worry yaself, get the admission, accept it and have the money in your account for atleast 30days before your visa application date.

Aim to score high in SAT... then if the score is high together with a good SSCE then target HBCU and other schools that offer full ride to international students. If you Google full ride scholarship international student you should find some directions

Evening, hope you are good.

I have seen your posts about writing ican or gmat etc

Like you am looking towards fall 2019,i have not written

any of the exams tho, I looked at MSc forensic accounting,

after school the job prospects are mainly government agencies stuffs like that, instead I have opted for

Management information system with the idea of working as a business analyst or under project management, different IT levels etc

FYI, I studied accounting just like you, not really interested in ican anyways, am not planning on working in this biosphere called Nigeria.

Mine is, write GRE AND TOEFL, Seek for funding /scholarships /graduate Assistantships

In all follow your heart, make more researches, I wish you the very best.

I never said, there isn't, there are good prospects but from my research forensic accountants work mostly with job agencies like FBI, Law offices etc

Heard its a specialized area of accounting, nothing really special about it, it doesn't command high income like that, it takes time to be an expertise in it.

I wouldn't want to limit myself to such kinda jobs, I prefer Management information system atleast I can take up any role in IT sector, startups, companies, Business & IT combined, even a career as an IT Auditor is very much possible.

Lastly, follow your heart, make the best decisions for you its your life & I wish you the very best & luck!

make more researches!!
