-Introduction: Hi gazzuzz, my corrolla has no starting issue, infact I dont turn the ignition key more than once before the engine starts.

-Problem statement: On cold start up, the engine will start instantly but it will operate n sound roughly for like 4secs before normalizing operation.

-Methodology: A friend said its a clogged Injector. Kazo said replace fuel pump. I told myself consult gazzuzz.
Sir, We want to know why the engine roughens after smart start.

Goodday brotherly.. hope ur day iz goin fyn, pls i need ur advise regardin 04 toyota avalon.. de transmission won't engage to 4th gear after a stop when driving. bt selects fyn at first strt in d monin only to get stuck in gear 3 or so once u get to a stop.. scanned de car n error wz pointin to som cam shaft position sensor.. i initialy to it waz knock sensor which i already changed n d wire harness too wz ok... de knock sensor wz test b4 i bought it.. ur xpert advise wil be highly appreciated..

I have an issue with a particular fuse in my car 30a for AM2, it keeps blowing up, kindly advice me on what do check please. thank you

AM2 circuit controls the ignition switch. The part that switches the gate to engage the starter.

When you turn your car ON, the ignition switch is ON. Everything works. When you hit START the ign switch gate flips, and it starts drawing power from the AM2 circuit. That circuit provides the starter with an "open starter relay and start the car" signal.

Then when you get off the START back to ON, it tells the car to resume normal operating mode.

So, if AM2 is messed, it will just not engage the starter itself.

If this is what you experience, check starter motor/wiring leading to starter motor area.
