One of the most beautiful, if not the overall most beautiful woman in Nigeria was nursed as a baby inside this very house, a colonial era masterpiece cheesy

Who's she?
Spyder, was it C C Onoh that built it or his father? Looks like something built in the 1940s.

Oga it is still the same thing. They are all Igbos but they all always reject the Igbo tag. We have not finished developing the recognized igboland and you add another unnecessary landmass to it again. We should be talking about a regional cooperation between the SE governors to dredge the river between Rivers and AkwaIbom in order to build a seaport in Abia ( a recognized Igbo state ) rather than looking for a land where we will have problem between us, Ijaw and Ibibio people.
beautiful. If two options are placed here. Opobo sea port which u knw that it is near the sea. I will rather go for onitsha sea port or Azumini sea port. Even if it is Mile away from the sea. I don't care.

And yes if anioma gets what they want without the help of SE then that's a bigger problem.

its not a threat but fact..only those with a 3rd eye would understand.
And how many SE problems have Anioma solved aside denying them even when not asked ?

Which bigger problem aside more denials? Abeg

U made a valid point here but even the dredging will be disputed by those Riverine groups who think it will cause flooding.

Opobo and Bonny is isolated and surrounded by non-igbos and that is the greatest challenge.

As for the Jaja of Opobo, he will welcome a deep Seaport in their deep waters with open hands and welcome Ndiigbo.

I have never heard of them denying their igboness but then, i stand to be corrected if wrong. cc bigfrancis21, pazienza
they work with the ijaws. Lol but there was a post I read on fb. They were complaining that when amnesty money came that they were sidelined by the iyc chairman. He was told that they don't confirm them full ijaw. That they are more igbos than ijaw but he can accept him as ijaw when it comes to politics. I ave forgotten the name of the guy....

stop behaving like the junior one

you should lead by example

all you care about are the denials

are you embracing the pro Igbo ones?

Opobo and Bonny are proud Ijaws today. They only claim Igbo when it's opportunistic to do so. Like Dakuku peterside coming to Ikokwu in PH to tell Ndiigbo that he is an Igbo man, in desperate ploy to win Igbo votes.
Opobo and Bonny are active members of IYC and other Ijaw national bodies. I'm a member of their facebook pages, and all I see are deeply Ijawphilic people.
opportunistic people. That is when they will start telling u how Jaja is an igbo man and so on and on. Mtchew

I'm glad the Igbophobic Man called Madu Ajaja who was hiding behind APC to spread his Igbo hate, had been sent packing from APC. They schemed him out of the primaries and he came out shouting about how APC are not good people.
Lol!
don't be surprised he will switch to pdp and start preaching igbo unity all for the votes

Azumini seaport is closer to the ocean than the onne seaport while the Onitsha river port will be used as a backup to support import and export activities. The Azumini river channel can be our own Swizz canal and there will be no need to use the seaports in any state in the SS. We currently have 3 international airports in Asaba, Enugu and Owerri of which 2 are cargo airports while we have Umueri airport under construction, as we speak, Onitsha and Aba are more commercial than Port Harcourt, if not for the taxes paid by oil companies, port Harcourt's IGR wouldn't have been higher than those of Onitsha and Aba. Owerri's tourism potential is bigger than that of all the cities in the SS, so why exactly do some people want to kill themselves because of the denial of the so-called rivers Igbo people?

No doubt, discussions like this, done in good faith, will definitely benefit us. But when insults and ridicule become part of it, then the worst become inevitable. I don't think calling Anioma a doom nation is wise. Its better we don't discuss at all, than allow bitter words to characterize our discussion.
Do you know what it means to be an Igboman in Rivers State? Especially when the military was still in power? Have, these our so called strong weather Igbos, inquired on the root of Dr. Obi Wali's death? Calling someone who dares this reality to ascertain his Igboness, as fair weather igbo, is insulting.
Nwanne, leave matter for Mattias.

The Ikwerres didn't past through worst than what Ndokis in Rivers passed through.
Go and read up about Akrika Obu and the controversies surrounding it. The Akwa Ibom people capitalized on Igbo subdued state and innate hate of Igbo by the FG to nearly take that town away from Ndokis.

At a time it would have been expedient to disclaim Igbo to hold unto their land, Ndokis didn't, they continued fighting for their land, while not going down the "we no be Ibo" route.

All of us suffered the after effect of the civil war. Ututu people of Abia State, lost their lands to Efiks in Odukpani LGA, through the FG who were quick to divide and conquer the east by siding with the Efiks.

Don't let anyone one fool you with the rubbish narratives of being surrounded by non Igbos and at risk of losing their lands to them, as a valid excuse for their Igbo denial. SE is surrounded by minorities all round, and many of our boundary groups lost lands to neighboring minorities because we are Igbos.

No Igbo identity denier have any justification whatsoever. They will not be tolerated by Ndiigbo. Never!

Our mumu don too much. Everybody is now capitalizing on the Igboman desperation to form union with them, to insult our intelligence, by claiming Igbo when expedient and non Igbo when no longer expedient.
We had reduced the Igbo tag to a thing of caricature. No more respect or dignity. All because some of us had mentally accepted that they need some people to be complete. Who bewitched us?

u trully hardened my heart....now when next i see a person from delta or rivers with igbo name...i will be the 1st one to tell him that he is not igbo...let him start explaining himself.

We are in one nigeria for now...the issue of sea port never arise as importers are still using lagos and ph ports. But the ss igbos are taking political positions meant for igbos and we shouldnt allow it anymore.

Plus se igbos living in rivers should learn to stop voting ikwerre...they have enjoyed our votes for too long without giving back anything...time to start voting ogoni

The fear of Igbo domination is the beginning of wisdom lol. The success of the average Igbo man has brought so much hate for him but, should he come and kill himself because of people's hate? We must continue to dominate most or all sectors in every state we reside whether the hosts like it or not.

If Ikwerri is truly landlocked, then they are absolutely of no use to the SE because the only reason why I wanted Ikwerri to be recognized as Igbo was because of their access to the sea but, since they are landlocked, no need for all these long arguments about River state any more, we can manage the river between Rivers and Akwa ibom that leads to Abia state.
Surprised you just learning this today.
All the waters down south of PH, are controlled by the Ijaws . Ikwerres have no direct sea access.

I'm a fan of Anioma. If it appears we are harsh on Anioma now, it's because we are heartbroken at how things are turning out there. It's a nightmare to many of us. I have cousins from Issele uku.
Look at Asaba and see massive SE investments there, many of us have come to take Asaba as home. I visit Asaba Wikipedia page, and I see it written boldly that Asaba is an Igbo city. Asagba of Asaba plays prominent role in Igbo affairs. There are still few Igbo denials in Asaba, but you know for certain that Asaba political and traditional leadership are Fully Igbo.
Why can't we get this same commitment from the rest of Anioma people. What's holding you people back from wholly embracing your Igbo identity.

Put yourself in SE shoes, what would you do, if you were in our shoes, I want your honest opinion.

WHAT WENT DOWN @ THE 4TH NOLLYWOOD IGBO FILM FESTIVAL & AWARD

The 4thNollywood Igbo film festival and Award (NIFA 2014) was held at Nelrose Hotel Asaba, Delta State on 27th- 29th August, 2014.

The event has no doubt left an indelible mark in the lives and carrier of Nollywood film makers of Igbo extraction. The historic and glamorous event which was put together by OhanezeNdi-Igbo Nollywood (ONN) saw some of the biggest Igbo names in Nollywood in attendance. From NgoziEzeonu, EmekaAni, Clemson- CorlnelNonyelumAgbogidi, Anita PtrickChuma and a host of others.

According to the president General OhanezeNdigboNollywood (ONN). Eze, (Dr.) Harris Chuma, OgeneNdigbo during his speech. “We are poised at celebrating our darling Igbo language film and Igbo men and women who have been proactive in the promotion of our culture and language, using Nollywood as a veritable medium”. Eze (Dr.) Harris Chuma also emphasized on the need for Nollywood film makers of Igbo extraction to speak in one voice, in other to realize their aspiration for the establishment of Igbo film industry.
Re: . by pazienza(m): 10:25pm On Sep 22, 2018
. Some other notable personalities at the event include: H.R.M (EZE) AMB ENGR. ONYECHE PROMISE OBINNA (EZE- IKEMBA 1 OF Ulakwo-UmuselemAncient Kingdom, Echie, Rivers State), Chief Dr. Emma Okocha, Gideon Nwaomu, Prof. Ifo A. Amata , Chief Emma Ogosi. While addressing press men, H.R.M (EZE) AMB ENGR. ONYECHE PROMISE OBINNA noted that Nollywood is a huge success today because of the contributions of the igbos. In his words, “Basically, Igbo film is the base of the movie industry; it is appalling that the fowl that lays the golden egg has today been sacrificed”. Other personalities at the event also lend their voice towards a united Igbo race and the preservation of the heritage, culture and tradition of Ndi- Igbo through Igbo language film. Representative of the foremost movie channel on DSTV Africa Magic Mr. SegunOsunuga, gave assurance of African Magic’s readiness to grant Ndi-Igbo their age long desire of an igbo channel on the Africa Magic platform. He said, “We are ready to support anyone that brings content to African Magic as long as it is Igbo”.

lol don't mind them. They will rant on social media but when igbos make a move to leave there. The government will start to pacify the igbos to stay remember what happened in akwaibom when there was toomuch robbery and looting of shops which are owned by the igbos and the igbos started moving to cross river. Lol. They started doubling security in akwaibom. Even to the xtent of publishing it on news paper.

An award was also presented to H.R.M (EZE) AMB ENGR. ONYECHE PROMISE OBINNA (EZEIKEMBA 1 OF ULAKWO-UMUSELEM ANCIENT KINGDOM) as the IKENGA NDI-IGBO.

See, this. An Igbo event hosted In Asaba SS, And and an Etche king came all the way from Rivers state to grace the occasion. But I saw no Ika or Ukwuani king. Even though the event was in Anioma land.
