Thanks for ur response, i hv checked on ICES their evaluation is high $cad 200 per document and hv got two I.e ND & HND that's $cad 400 plus $75 for delivery, well I can opt for delivery to my inlaw in cannada for $26 which can be scanned to me. Still wish to ask , can't i go for the highest certificate which is HND although it will bring down my point in ECA since is one certificate not two.

Back to WES and ur advice in talking to my school to effect a change on my DOB to the current. I guss my higher institution will accept to do that but for NECO exam body and my secondary school were do i start from. I don't kw which to meet now. Since NECO sents the transcript while WES sents for verification to my school, kind of complicating.

I may opt for ICES and bear the costs. I will sure talk to my school to effect the change on my both certificates.

Thanks,
What of IQAS?
If your school can effect the change, it'll be perfect.
You can't evaluate only HND, please add the ND and get your points.
Good luck

Thanks.

-First create a profile on Wes Canada page
-Choose document by document evaluation for immigration.
-Pay the fees using a debit card preferably GTB(I personally think they charged me lower than my 2nd bank)
-Apply to your school for Masters transcript using Your -Wes Application no.
-Also send your masters Certificate to Wes canada using Hellofax.com
Wes acknowledges documents sent to them within 24-48hrs.
THE whole process is fast . The major delay is Verification from your school.
Unilag took 5 weeks before they verified an electronic email sent to them from Wes Canada.
After verification you get the date your ECA report would be sent plus/minus a few days occasionally.
That's the summary of the wes assessment process for my wife's master's degree.

Congrats @mepconsultant but out of curiosity, why did you use an agent? What role did the agent play? Cos You seem to have done everything yourself.
Sometimes you just want that feeling of doing EVERYTHING humanly possible so you can face the spiritual aspect wink.

For my study permit I used Cohen for my 2nd application and I also had load of info and I practically did everything also.

I hired them because they told me from the start that their fee is non refundable and they have no power over the outcome of my application.
For me that's the defining sentence of a genuine immigrant consultant.

Trust me, after doing your credential evaluation, you may never need those certificates again. Laminated or not.

Thanks my brother. But does that mean prospective employers will value WES evaluation more that the actual certificates? I really hope so.

Nope. WES evaluation, as I was made to understand is just to enable you score CRS points in regards to your immigration.

There have been several instances however, of people who never evaluated their degrees (usually accompanying spouses) and are gainfully employed today.

But it's an automatic something in Nigeria na. Collect certificate and laminate immediately... The mobile business centre with laminating machine will even be right outside the certificate collection room...

I think the laminating myth only works in Nigeria.

Is there anyone here who has applied for a job or admission outside Nigeria where they asked to see your original certificate? Most times your transcript confirms where you attended school, and not your certificate. As for Embassies, I don't know anyone who has been denied a visa for presenting a laminated certificate. (Someone here may know sha).

It's only in Nigeria that if you have a Federal job, you would be asked to go to Abuja twice a year to verify your credentials (that they have seen before).

Hello everyone,

Is it a compulsory requirement to have some pay slips as part of post ITA papers?

I have every other documents ready, but there are few errors on my pay slips, which I'm very sure personnel unit wouldn't want to correct.

I'm thinking of going ahead with just the reference letter, employment and confirmation letter. Would these be fine?

It's only in Nigeria that requirement for post graduate post-completion clearance would include original waec certificate. We love complicating things.

But I think the laminated thing is true worldwide sha, it invalidates the certificate. Just that there is hardly ever any need to show your certificate in the first place.

Your visa won't sha be rejected cos I think certificate is not a visa requirement in the first place.

Guys

Please i opened my profile yesterday, and used self employed for my husband's work experience, since 2013 (I am the principal applicant). I was then adviced to update it and use less than that since we have just recently registered the company. so i ahve changed it from 2013 to 2018. and also added his NYSC work experience.
He has been a business person all the while.

What do you think? Do u think i should go ahead and submit? or leave the start date at 2018?

Thanks for a swift response.

If you are the PA, please don’t complicate your profile with work experience for your spouse except it is Canadian work experience. Just pick ‘No’ or ‘None’ or ‘N/A’ or whatever option is available to say you are not providing work experience for him. His work experience won’t add to your points but will add to your documentation and may cause you additional headache in the process.
